Femi Fani-Kayode has released a statement calling out APC for alleging
that President Jonathan was in Lagos to rig the state governorship
election in favor of PDP's Jimi Agbaje. The statement below..
"It is not true that the President has any rigging plan for Lagos
and neither do we need any such plan because our party is very strong
there. The problem that the APC has and the reason that they make such
asinine and stupid allegations is because they actually believe that
they own Lagos State and all those that live there. They are now in a state of panic because for the first time in 16
years, they are facing a formidable challenge and they know that Jimi
Agbaje of the PDP is likely to win. The truth is that there was no secret meeting in which rigging was
planned by the President and neither is it true that materials were
smuggled in to rig Lagos State. Jonathan conceded defeat and congratulated Buhari even though there
were many questions about the card readers, the role of INEC and the
so-called votes that APC allegedly won in Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Kaduna
and in one or two other places in the North. The figures for the APC were inflated in those states whilst the votes
that Jonathan scored were purposely suppressed and reduced in places
like Abia and other parts of the east by INEC. This is the bitter truth
even though many people are reluctant to say it or admit it. Till today, many of us are
wondering what really happened to the INEC commissioner in Kano and
whether it is true that he and his whole family were murdered after he
privately expressed his misgivings and regrets about inflating the
figures for the APC during the presidential elections. Rather than spitting in Jonathan’s face and rejecting his friendly
handshake by accusing him of plotting to rig Lagos, the APC should keep
their mouths shut and bury their heads in shame for what they and their
friends in INEC did during the presidential election.” the statement read

I was a member of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change before the merger, GMB and Prince Tony Momoh are still my political leaders. I am a hardcore Buharist and believe strongly in the spartan ideals he stands for. GMB as President elect submitted the list of his transition committee to the party leadership before the Easter holiday with some notable names which we all crave to see at the centre. One notable names GMB put in that list which Ashiwaju rejected were Babatunde Fashola and Olasupo Shasore. The reasons for his decision were parochial. As usual in his selfish trademark, anyone who has disagreed with him politically is to be punished. Do you all remember that he almost deprieved Fashola a 2nd term in office in 2011 simply because he didnt kow-tow to his megalomania. This same man betrayed us in the CPC in 2011 because of his selfish interests and got ACN agents to openly canvass for Jonathan in the General election. Only Aregbesola revolted against that compromise.
Let us not be in a hurry to forget these his antecedents.
In the next few weeks, Asiwaju will be in for the biggest political shock of his life. After getting the VP slot, he now wants more. He wants to nominate Wale Edun to man the Finance Ministry, Mofe Boyo of Oando as Petroleum Minister/NNPC GMD. He has also asked to be given the Works Ministry slot.
Enough is enough. We must stop the greed of one man and put national interest first in all that we do.

Shame!!!
He wants to pay Lagos Workers Minimum wage, as "Governor to be" did you ask the workers if they are not already enjoying N18,760.00 In Lagos.
He said he will stop the Public Private Partnership used to build the Ikoyi Link Road. You must be out of your mind. Which project did the PDP execute in Lagos in 6 yrs, not one project. Moreover, your PDP led Federal Government signed PPP agreement to build '2nd Niger bridge' for N129 Billion.

ReplyDeleteI have even been suspecting that they reduced Jonathan's figures in Delta state, Rivers state, Akwa Ibom state, Enugu state. I suspect foul play in Abuja-Jonathan should have won by the same margin, but reversed, as in Kano. Also, I believe Jonathan should have launched an investigation into the cause of the death of the Kano state INEC commissioner (?suicide, ?assassination by PDP) so that his spokesperson would not need to come and tell us cock and bull tales here, thereby portraying his master as incompetent at handling issues.
