Fayose to know fate at Supreme Court today

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state will today know his fate as the Supreme court will be delivering judgement on the petition filed by the APC challenging his victory at the June 21 2014 governorship election. APC in its petition, had alleged that unlawful use of soldiers, intimidation of its supporters and compromised ballot papers were used to achieve his victory at last year's elections. The APC had lost in an earlier petition at the Ekiti state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on December 19, 2014 which upheld Governor Fayose’s victory. A dissatisfied APC approached the Supreme court for further hearing on the matter.
Meanwhile tension has reportedly gripped the state as both party supporters are awaiting the outcome of the supreme court judgement today.

  2. It saddens me that I am from that state. This man is not worthy being the Governor of the state, but for poverty amongst my people cant make them see beyond their noses. I pray he is sent to jail.

  3. What a pity! I can imagine the state of his mind now and the "buttons he would be pressing " well, your mind would be at rest if your way are pure and without blemish! But is that the case with this MR? Acts 8:22

  4. I wouldn't be surprised if the verdict favour Fayose. He has been going round to seek favour from judges and all that.

  27. I was in Ekiti for the elections I campaigned for LP but the truth be told Fayose won that election. Even though most elite hate Fayose, the masses of Ekiti love him so much and they voted for him wwith a passion. Fayemi on the other hand was too far from the masses forming elite governor and that was why they voted him out. For the records based on what I saw while in Ekiti Ayodel Fayose won dat election
