Every Nigerian needs to watch these videos. The War Against Boko Haram as filmed by a journalist on the front-lines
If you're a Nigerian, then you need to watch these videos. You have never seen anything like this before. We mostly heard of the destruction Boko Haram brought upon us, we didn't hear much about what our Nigerians troops did to fight and flush them out. These videos are deep. VICE News correspondent Kaj Larsen, the only journalist on the front-lines shows us inside the war with Boko Haram. Please watch the videos after the cut and be amazed by our soldiers. They defended Nigeria with their lives. Kudos to our troops and thanks to this fearless reporter....
Thank you Kolawole...didn't see anything either, just wasted my data. To those who lost their lives in the battle...God be with their families and console them.
Only a white journalistic is brave and professional enough. Our journalists are busy taking bribe or blackmailing. We have no values in this nation. Smh!!!
For people who thought IT was just about going into the forest and bringing the girls back, una don see am? For the dumb heads who thought GEJ has been sleeping, una see the work? When last was Nigerian armory re-enforced? If not under goodluck. Our youths gots learn. Until they learn and be less ignorant, this old men in power won't ever let us the future have it. How old was buhari the last time he was president? Minister of petroleum and chairman nnpc? How old was Mathew mbu (former minister for works) when he asurmed office? 21 years people. #davidking
OMG! This is really touchingg. I hope most people now knw that bokoharam. Is pure, and they are not in any way representing the interest of Islam. Nigerian, let unite and condemn wot is wrong. Islaam does not preach terrorism. I am a Muslim! And I am not a Terrorist!!
Goose bumps. Tear drops.... God Bless the Military!!! God Bless the Journalist!!! And God bless Nigeria!!! Soonest, all these will be Over! I believe. Yes, I really believe!
Indeed "They defended Nigeria with their lives. Kudos to our troops and thanks to this fearless reporter....". Thumbs up to them, and more power to their elbows.
"I want to die for my country, and if I die for my country, I know I died for my country" Shock waves flowed down my spine watching the video, May God not spare anyone who pockets the fund meant for our military men. May God continue to bless and protect them for their selfless service
Still having goose pimples. Much respect for our soldiers. We don't really know what they pass through and may God forgive our ignorance. All I pray for is God's strength and protection on them. Much respect
These videos are coming out very late, a sort of medicine after death because the Commander in Chief of this army has been rigged out of his Presidency by Jega and his USA/EU conspirators on the false charge that the Nigerian Army was not fighting Boko Haram. Now that it has been shown that the Nigerian Army was fighting very gallantly and successfully, what next? Will the elections be cancelled. Wait until you see the evidence of the massive Jega and company executed. Many shall bemoan the fate of Jonathan, a lamb among lions. tigers and leopards.
Sour grapes . Jonathan failed and he was elected out.!this is democracy. The soldiers are not for election pawns. These are real men fighting for their country and nothing to do with winning election .
Don't mind this Eze, where was Jonathan when these men willing to Lay down their Lives for their Country were buying their own Uniforms? Boots and Camp Tents! Where did all the $1Billion loan go to when, Soldiers had to Borrow Bullet proof vests from their colleagues who are not on Duty?
It's so easy to talk when ur not involved. In the last one year, I hv used Four DPs with RIP for my fallen soldier pals. U don't know Jack so don't talk.
GEJ may hv had good intentions, but he allowed Corruption thrive in the Military, by not being a Firm Leader. The Military Top Brass kept profiting from the Chaos caused by BoKo Haram.
May God Bless our Nigerian Soldiers and Provide leaders who will protect their interest.

Now Linda, Jonathan's puppy, These are d REAL HEROES, THE NIGERIAN ARMY! GOD bless n protect u all in d front line and may we win d fight against boko haram In Jesus Name, Amen!
Wow! Linda many thanks for this post! It's been exposed Nigeria lack journalists...a white man actually took such risk in a very uncodusive environment to do this! Kudos vice TV! I truly appreciate our military for their bravery and patrioticism even with inadequate provisions...Godbless your souls! Their counterparts are using digital equipments while they use notebook! It is well! For those who claimed Boko Haram was/is fake, now you know! What I can't comprehend is why the delay in engaging these Devils? If this action was taken years back and not 6weeks to election, things would have been different! I can't still come to terms with the fact that all these happened in a country with a supposed leader! It was demonic to ignore the plight of these victims all along! GEJ has driven away Boko so why his he saying he get rid of boko ? all those journalist say its a lie that the Nigerian Army didnt perform, vice said it categorically that it was the Nigerian Army that did all the work.
Yes but 4 years too late. Why wait for 6 weeks before election. If the army was this strong in the first place why wait. Thank God for the army's bravely even in the politics being played with their lives.
Mumu... He dint wait till six weeks before election. It happens to fall within the time frame. Him "GEJ" personally bought the fighter helicopters. Na everything una go know? Before now, which other head of state ever fortified the navy or our soldiers armory? Our schools gots start teaching our dumb youths this country's history.
You are a horrible soul! How can you wish to see real war? Innocent lives have been lost due to these insurgents. May God change our mindsets and insensitivity to others' plights

This was interesting to watch. But I think the Nigerian government should keep their fight to eliminate Boko haram private, while they fight. Things like this can give them away! Their whole formation and tactics were exposed. When Osama bin laden was killed no one had an idea or clue he was searched for including him! In a nutshell this shouldn't be public! God bless our troops. They are willing and happy to fight for us. May God guide them and fight with them. Amen
Thats what true journalism should b all about .......african journalist should wake up ...we're all gonna die someday....y don't u do it for a cause............@Chris@
Hmmm! They must have paid this oyinbo reporter handsomely. Through out the video, he said all the right things about our army, our country and our president. Very strange for a western news reporter to be so positive about an African country. Either way, he try. All the soldiers too try. But some of them seem just too happy to be slaughtering Boko Haram (as one of them said). It was uncomfortable for me to watch him go on so gleefully. It shouldn't be something to be proud of saying in front of the camera that you slaughter BH... anyways, God bless and restore peace to our wonderful country Nigeria in Jesus name, amen!
I feel you, however they need to keep themselves motivated somehow. It is by being so passionate about killing the enemies, pls, so be it. My worry is more in exposing their tactics...
Please shut it He shud be proud to say he killed them after all BH don't shy away from saying they killed the innocent. If you can do it kindly volunteer to fight for your nation and don't just seat behind ur system and type nonsense
How can he not gleefully say he slaughters them! Boko Haram deserves no mercy because they have shown is no mercy ! Killing innocent lives. Babies , children , pregnant women. Turning innocent boys and girls into child soldiers! Our God has given us power to trample over snakes and scorpions and these are what Boko Haram represents. We will continue to slaughyer them like the animals they are! May God keep our soldiers save
My Brother you can't Blame them. After what they have witnessed, Most soldiers loose any form of emotion. I Lost a friend, a 2nd Lieutenant, last year. Boko Haram killed him slowly, and finally piecesed his Head. His Team mates brought the pieces wrapped in a Singlet back to Base.
If your in their shoes, won't you use worse words than Slaughter. Boko Haram?

This is very insightful... Most of us down south are in the dark in relation to the boko haram war. It gives Nigerians a glimpse of what is happening there and a ray of hope... I'm proud of our soldiers!
God! I have no words, even the bible says heaven helps those who help them selfs, watching this view gave me a glimpse at the effort to win this war, we leave the rest to you, May your will be done.
Chai! I love my country upon all the fights they still got time to drink and merry d best of all is they pray to God...ohhhh may God keep them, they'll defeat boko haram in Jesus Name.Amen
Thank you Linda for this. I suggest you constantly make these videos available daily so people will know how great our troops are and what the Government is doing
wow....thank God for something like this....now the people will appreciate GEJ more..he said it the people wont appreciate me until i get out of Office....the opposition fed the people with so much HATE Conspiracy and propaganda, the designed BH and all these things that made Jonathan look terrible when it was more like the same Nigeria we had always known..even the recent fall in $ price has been credited to Pa Buhari by some fools...they eventuallly Voted the real Devils, now they are surrounded by the same Evil set of People....God bless Nigeria....GEJ go and rest....u will never be forgotten ... I&Linda's Hero
Omg! I just shed a tear God bless those soldiers! And the reporter too Now we know GEJ was working to get rid of those devils in human form, just that some Nigerians were too blind to see it and now he is out of power. Buhari hope you'll do something wen you get in there.
God bless our soldiers for their uncommon sacrifice and gallantry. The incoming administration should equip them with state-of-the-art weaponry, it's a shame that these gallant men are given MI-24 fighter plane made by Russia during the 2nd world war. Nigeria can afford modern fighter planes. Also, with all the sophistiacted bomb and mines detectors in the world today, our gallant men still have to use sticks to examine the ground for mines, no this ought not be so. I believe the GMB government will resolve our issue with the US, so we can acquire better weaponry for soldiers. God bless them for the extra sacrifice they've been making despite being ill-equipped.
I blame the "heroic smiling" president for making the menace escalate....it wasnt happening in the south so he didn't care....like he said after a massacre "where's gworza?"...no condemnation, no condolence, sympathy...buy he's quick to send condolences to other foreign countries like France. ...May 29 can't come fast enough.
I love the army boys...fine guys especially the second to the last guy that says he believes if he trains hard, he'll fight easy.. if I train hard, i'll bleed less. what a dude! I'm in love...lol. well done boys #naijararmyrules
wow., truly saddening esp part 3 "You that have kept us live" "Search our hearts........." May God continue 2 grant our military victory And punish all sponsors and secret well wishers of boko haram
May God continue to bless our soldiers who are risking it all in the battle field. You fight so that we may live, you are my HERO'S. My heart is heavy for all those who have lost to Boko Haram, may God heal and comfort you. Forgive us for not responding to your pain with the sense of urgency it deserves, no excuse we give is valid. We were not compassionate to your pain and thats the simple truth. Thank you VICE for risking your life to tell our story. Injustice to one is injustice to all. We as a people should try and not put our energy into ethnic division, we are one and we all want the same thing peace, love and prosperity. Our light shine so bright in unity. I love all my brothers and sisters regardless of religion and ethnicity. #BlessNigerianSoliders #OneNigeria #Love #Peace
Some of the most riveting news footage out of the North East. This only confirms one thing though. Our troops need to be better equipped.God bless their sacrifice.
Kudos to our proud armed forces. Nigeria is proud and thankful to have you serve. This is true patriotism. God bless and keep you guys! I am inspired by your resolve to keep fighting irrespective of what you are faced with. I salute and celebrate you.
Some of the most riveting news footage out of the North East. This only confirms one thing though. Our troops need to be better equipped.God bless their sacrifice.
Our gallant soldiers busy fighting for us in the north, while the lily-livered stupid thugs killing themselves in the south for election sake. Worthless deaths that wont be remember in a second. Go and join the military and die honourable deaths.
I cried thru out dis video becos I now understand how bad dis bokoharam issue is. I understand how bad the Nigerian govt has handled the insurgency,I understand the level of destruction boko haram has caused people in the north. God bless the Nigerian army.
Whao, May God strengthen the Nigerian Army and make them succeed in this fight against boko haram. God bless all those fighting to jeep our land safe from evil. Thanks to linda, the vice news for bringing this to our knowledge.
I watched the three videos and i am very grateful to God, GEJ, our military, and the families of our military men and women. God bless Nigeria and help us win this battle.
Now everybody is hailing our gallant soldiers. God bless them and their families. We lost some of those men you see there and their families are suffering. some don't have money to feed cos their husbands accounts are frozen. Anyway God bless Nigeria
We wouldn't know they're working if we don't see. Now we've seen and we know. God bless vice TV, may God continue to lead, guide and protect our soldiers to fight against the boko haram.
God bless and be with our soldiers for their bravery sacrifice! We have journalist in this country they are busy collecting eguje speculating fake news, running after politicians. Obj is busy blaming Jonathan wereas he couldn't destroy Bk. God bless Nigeria
Hian! I pata pata hope these men are not out there dying for nothing! Cos if this GMB enters and boko suddenly disappear we'll all know this entire thing was fabricated... the heart of men
I love them so much.. God fight with them.. God grant them victory..God protect them and hide them under the shadow of his wings.. God bless nigeria.. God bless our soldiers..
NIGERIAN JOURNALISTS WHERE ARE YOU GUYS. SEE WHAT REAL JOURNALISM IS ALL ABOUT. PEOPLE HAVING PASSION FOR THEIR JOB AND NOT JUST DOING IT FOR THE MONEY. GOD GUIDE AND PROTECT OUR SOLDIERS.
God bless our troops... Its a shame what our reporters usually do is spread the defeat of our troops.. It took a foreign reporter to give kudos to the gallant military... L In fairness to our press Linda and others also do a very good job of giving accolades to this warranting soldiers.
"Train Hard, Fight Easy. I believe when I train hard, I'll fight easy. And when you train hard, you bleed less during the war time."
-Private Jeremiah Friday (NG Army) I've gained a higher level of respect for the Nigerian army. God will bless them with many more victories and fewer to no casualties. I thank them for risking their lives to protect the motherland. Bless them. Also, big shoutout to that journalist/ex Navy SEAL, Kaj Larsen and VICE news in general for showing us how things actually go down in the north.
I am so touched by this... wiped a few tears from my eyes. It's amazing to see such patriotism still exists in Nigeria. We definitely do not appreciate our army enough. God bless their souls for their selflessness and courage to secure the future of Nigeria.
I want to donate to these soldiers. They deserve to be pampered and honored. How can this be accomplished? Linda, why not show the way? Also, this journalist deserves to be recognized for being in the trenches to bring us the truth!!!!
Linda, thanks again for bringing this piece of fearless journalism to light. This is better than reading about election craziness when people have been forced out of their homes!
It was about time that videos like this were shown to the nigerian public. Was long overdue. The soldiers made me really proud. Thank you for sharing this Linda.
I hoped to see more. Hoped to see what the camps of Boko Haram sects were like, it's all part of the conspiracy, young men dying at the behest of parochial interests
Mehnnnn! this is so humbling! Who said GEJ did not work! God will bless him! Our soldiers are such a brave great men! God bless all of them! Linda i think we should make a freewill contribution for them and their families! to risk your life over this Insurgency no be small thing ooo! Linda Observe
Although I like to thank our Soldiers for putting their Life on the line for us, but what I do not understand is why are they taking a defensive position instead of being on the offensive. The best form of defence is to attack. I Heard one of the Soldier said Sambisa forest is just 6km away from where they are stationed, but why are they not taking the battle to Boko Haram in their forest? As long as the Nigeria army are taking a defensive position the war will never be over.
Omo see action film. You mean all these are happening in the north while we get to snap selfie, eat sharwama, visit gardens and parks in this part of Nigeria. Chai. May God help them, may God bless our armies, may God bless n protect the journalist. Chai no be small work oooo
Thank you Linda for this, I cried blood watching this esp'ly d 2nd video where the soldiers said a Lil prayer with beer in their hands. #Physicalpain in my heart
If only Nollywood would collaborate wirh Mr Kaj for them to make up a Nigeria war movie...Lol that's if our pot belly actors will wanna perticipate Lol. Check out the camera blending n shot angle. Guess amma take up the job
Jonathan will always remain the president Nigeria ever had! With all the hate from APC's western controlled media and all the insults coming from Abokis and all the challenges in procuring arms, he still was able to hold his head high! You're the best Jona! No matter what they say! You gave your very best, but the power hungry fools wouldn't allow you rest! You're a perfect Gentle man per excellence! The soldiers! I doff my heart for you guys! You guys are trying! You're really gallant soldiers! More grease to your elbows! I do hope the power folks who have taken power via hate and propaganda can eliminate the little remaining rag tags. They promised within two months. We are watching! Kudos GEJ! Kudos NA Gallant soldiers.
God bless our Army, they have always been willing to fight but had no means, they fought even with less ammunition. GEJ had to wait till 6 weeks to empower them, he failed us, lives were lost. May the new government continue. pray for Nigeria
As a former soldier who fought for the US in Iraq, I commiserate with my brothers in Nigeria... I often wonder if things were different would i have gone into the Nigerian army? I dont know but I do know this, being at war anywhere changes a man! I had nothing but chills looking at these fine soldiers with meager equipment do extraordinary things. I know that given the equipment and training we got here in the US, this war would be long over!!
Can't see nothing here...
ReplyDeleteWow! Grt job thgey r doing, and God bless our gallant soldiers. D reporter, thumbs up to him.

ReplyDeleteI feel you, however they need to keep themselves motivated somehow. It is by being so passionate about killing the enemies, pls, so be it. My worry is more in exposing their tactics...
DeletePlease shut it
DeleteHe shud be proud to say he killed them after all BH don't shy away from saying they killed the innocent.
DeleteMy Brother you can't Blame them. After what they have witnessed, Most soldiers loose any form of emotion. I Lost a friend, a 2nd Lieutenant, last year. Boko Haram killed him slowly, and finally piecesed his Head. His Team mates brought the pieces wrapped in a Singlet back to Base.
DeleteIf your in their shoes, won't you use worse words than Slaughter. Boko Haram?
May God continue to Bless the Nigerian Army!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is very insightful... Most of us down south are in the dark in relation to the boko haram war. It gives Nigerians a glimpse of what is happening there and a ray of hope... I'm proud of our soldiers!
ReplyDeleteNow nigerians will be able to appreciate our military.
ReplyDeleteNow nigerians will be able to appreciate our military.
ReplyDeleteGod! I have no words, even the bible says heaven helps those who help them selfs, watching this view gave me a glimpse at the effort to win this war, we leave the rest to you, May your will be done.

ReplyDeleteWith the right weapons Nigeria soldiers are the best.Tim28
ReplyDeletewow....thank God for something like this....now the people will appreciate GEJ more..he said it the people wont appreciate me until i get out of Office....the opposition fed the people with so much HATE Conspiracy and propaganda, the designed BH and all these things that made Jonathan look terrible when it was more like the same Nigeria we had always known..even the recent fall in $ price has been credited to Pa Buhari by some fools...they eventuallly Voted the real Devils, now they are surrounded by the same Evil set of People....God bless Nigeria....GEJ go and rest....u will never be forgotten ...
ReplyDeleteI&Linda's Hero
Kudos to nigeria solders
ReplyDeleteKudos guyz
ReplyDeleteOmg! I just shed a tear
ReplyDeleteGod bless those soldiers!
And the reporter too
Now we know GEJ was working to get rid of those devils in human form, just that some Nigerians were too blind to see it and now he is out of power. Buhari hope you'll do something wen you get in there.
ReplyDeleteGod bless our soldiers for their uncommon sacrifice and gallantry.
ReplyDeleteYou are talking rubbish
DeleteI love the army boys...fine guys especially the second to the last guy that says he believes if he trains hard, he'll fight easy.. if I train hard, i'll bleed less. what a dude! I'm in love...lol. well done boys #naijararmyrules
ReplyDeleteThis truly brings home the reality of a nation at war. Only hope that it could be fought and won quicker. Kudos to our galant soldiers.
ReplyDeletewow.,

ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless our soldiers who are risking it all in the battle field.

ReplyDeleteGod bless our troops... Its a shame what our reporters usually do is spread the defeat of our troops.. It took a foreign reporter to give kudos to the gallant military... L
ReplyDeleteIn fairness to our press Linda and others also do a very good job of giving accolades to this warranting soldiers.
Godbless NIgeria

"Train Hard, Fight Easy.
ReplyDeleteI believe when I train hard, I'll fight easy.
And when you train hard, you bleed less during the war time."
-Private Jeremiah Friday (NG Army)
I've gained a higher level of respect for the Nigerian army. God will bless them with many more victories and fewer to no casualties. I thank them for risking their lives to protect the motherland. Bless them. Also, big shoutout to that journalist/ex Navy SEAL, Kaj Larsen and VICE news in general for showing us how things actually go down in the north.
God bless the Nigeria Army.
ReplyDeleteWhen GEj visited the war front... They thought he came to campaign. Now una hear am? He came after the asult on bama.
ReplyDelete#davidking

ReplyDeleteWawo!!! What a great post cudos to the army......proud of my Dad's job
ReplyDeleteI am so touched by this... wiped a few tears from my eyes. It's amazing to see such patriotism still exists in Nigeria. We definitely do not appreciate our army enough. God bless their souls for their selflessness and courage to secure the future of Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI want to donate to these soldiers. They deserve to be pampered and honored. How can this be accomplished? Linda, why not show the way? Also, this journalist deserves to be recognized for being in the trenches to bring us the truth!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece of Journalism. God bless our army, God bless our president and God bless our country Nigeria
ReplyDeleteLinda, thanks again for bringing this piece of fearless journalism to light. This is better than reading about election craziness when people have been forced out of their homes!
ReplyDeleteKudos to the Nigerian Army.......proud of you Dad
ReplyDeleteIt was about time that videos like this were shown to the nigerian public. Was long overdue. The soldiers made me really proud. Thank you for sharing this Linda.
ReplyDeleteI hoped to see more. Hoped to see what the camps of Boko Haram sects were like, it's all part of the conspiracy, young men dying at the behest of parochial interests
ReplyDeleteLight always rules over darkness. God bless Nigeria, thanks to our troop and humble president.
ReplyDeleteAm literally speechless God bless our heroes
ReplyDeleteMehnnnn! this is so humbling! Who said GEJ did not work! God will bless him! Our soldiers are such a brave great men! God bless all of them! Linda i think we should make a freewill contribution for them and their families! to risk your life over this Insurgency no be small thing ooo! Linda Observe
ReplyDeleteAlthough I like to thank our Soldiers for putting their Life on the line for us, but what I do not understand is why are they taking a defensive position instead of being on the offensive. The best form of defence is to attack. I Heard one of the Soldier said Sambisa forest is just 6km away from where they are stationed, but why are they not taking the battle to Boko Haram in their forest? As long as the Nigeria army are taking a defensive position the war will never be over.
ReplyDeleteso proud of our troops and this reporter shows we(nigerians) are going somewhere
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Kaj for giving us the opportunity to watch this video. God bless our Soldiers and God bless Nigeria... Victory is ours
ReplyDeleteOmo see action film. You mean all these are happening in the north while we get to snap selfie, eat sharwama, visit gardens and parks in this part of Nigeria. Chai. May God help them, may God bless our armies, may God bless n protect the journalist. Chai no be small work oooo

ReplyDeleteIf only Nollywood would collaborate wirh Mr Kaj for them to make up a Nigeria war movie...Lol that's if our pot belly actors will wanna perticipate Lol. Check out the camera blending n shot angle. Guess amma take up the job
ReplyDeletelinda weldone im impressed GOD nigerian army
ReplyDeleteJonathan will always remain the president Nigeria ever had!
ReplyDeleteThat guy's camera is MAD!!!! Super HD, Night vision...damn. Nigerian soldiers are trying..kudos
ReplyDeleteGod bless our Army, they have always been willing to fight but had no means, they fought even with less ammunition. GEJ had to wait till 6 weeks to empower them, he failed us, lives were lost. May the new government continue. pray for Nigeria
ReplyDeleteLinda still campaigning for GEJ after the elections. Biko my sister it don do.
ReplyDeleteAs a former soldier who fought for the US in Iraq, I commiserate with my brothers in Nigeria...
ReplyDelete#respect#salute...
ReplyDeleteYou linda post something people can view without any hassles now...haba
ReplyDeleteI just watched dis touching video seeing my elder there may God continue to protect them all.
ReplyDelete
