APC's Ambode declared winner of Lagos Governor election, receives congratulatory call from Jimi Agbaje

Dear Lagosians, meet your governor for the next four years - starting from May 29th. APC's governorship candidate in Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has been declared winner of the 2015 governorship election. The governor-elect pulled a total of 811, 994 to defeat PDP's Jimi Agbaje who pulled a total of 659, 788 votes.

Jimi Agbaje called Ambode to congratulate him and also concede defeat. See their tweets after the cut...

If Lagos State Government closes their shops for environmental violations, they pick offence. How then have the Igbos developed Lagos?.... think on these......

The only church that's reasonable big and is owned by an Igbo man is TREM, while another Igbo church, Lord Chosen Church, encourages nuisance in Lagos and it also double as the dirtiest church in Lagos.

      “Records shows that 75% of robbery cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 85% of ritual cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 60% of drug cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 70% of fraud cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 90% of pirated CD cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 60% of fake and adulterated drugs in Lagos that have killed thousands of Lagosians are carried out by Igbos, in fact, most of the crimes in Lagos are related to the Igbos, so how have the Igbos developed Lagos when they can't get their hands off crime?

      “There's no Igbo man among the top three richest people in Nigeria, so how are they successful?

      “The truth is that Igbos should be grateful that the Yorubas accommodated them in Lagos peacefully, they shouldn't take the meekness and kindness of the Yorubas for granted.

Their protest vote could give Agbaje/PDP victory in only Igbo-dominated areas and not the entire Lagos. This is the second political suicide the Igbos will commit in this 2015 elections.       #gbam. They said it was oil money they used to build lagos. Was it when it was under colonial master or when it was in western region and all d structures were in place (d only thing built in oil boom was 3rd mainland bridge o) or is it when they went on their murderous coup & secession war cos we all know lagos was developed by then and it was all cocoa money. If theyre looking for their oil money they shld go and ask shagari, buhari, babangida and abachas families mbok. Or we can dismantle 3rd mainland for them. Thank god for fashola & tinubu in lagos state, major infrastructures had bn on standstill since d 70's, theyre coming to talk rubbish.

    The insults are getting too much, I am a Yoruba girl, not just Yoruba, I am from Lagos state, what the Oba said was very wrong, and I do apologise, however, saying Lagos is no man's land, is a big slap to us Lagosians and Yorubas in general. We have accepted you guys onto our land and we should not be disrespected, it belongs to us and nobody else. The reason why Yorubas are angry is because of some ignorant people, typing nonsense, saying Igbos developed Lagos and without them Lagos will be nothing, that is false, lets not allow this to destroy us as a country, and yorubas, everyone has a right to vote for whoever they please.
