    3. Anonymous, sorry to say but you are the fool! GEJ conceded because he didn't have much choice...The whole world was watching and besides it's was damp clear that majority didn't want him, which was a far cry from what he enjoyed in 2011. PDP, AIT, NTA and the rest of the Nigeria shameless so-called celebrities that sold their rights for peanuts! How market? I see you guys plotting to remain relevant in this new dispensation. Shame on Reuben Abati...big shame on you! This is someone that used to be the greatest critic of government and he lost all his senses because of money...can people stop saying GEJ is an hero!? He didn't have a choice...shame on PDP and all their hate campaigns!!!

You man was a weak leader. A good man but a WEAK LEADER. Everybody and their mama was stealing Nigeria blindly and he could do nothing about it.
We don't hate Jonathan as a person. We just hated the way he presided over the issues of Nigeria and that is EXACTLY why he got voted out. Trying to celebrate things that any Democratic elected President SHOULD do is ludacris. Now dust off your resume and find yourself a day job. One that does not rob you of your conscience, integrity and ability to fair and just. We may eventually welcome you back into the human race.

well, you have to respect GEJ at the end of the day, lets be clear if an incumbent President wants to remain in power in a country like Nigeria, he will remain and nothing will happen... so for a man with access to so much power and money and freedom to be selfish, for him to choose to conduct a credible election, appoint a decent man to head INEC, refuse to rig and allow INEC the freedom and power needed to conduct a history altering election such as this, you have to respect him. Hats off to GEJ. I salute him. Long live GEJ n congrats to Buhari

  77. Hmmmmm GEJ is afraid to go back to Bayelsa because of lack of electricity and good roads....ask him who caused it.....what did he do to improve the situation? Did billions of Naira he gave to the greedy and fawning Church Pastors, Obas, Imams and big party chiefs change the minds of the people or save him from losing the election? He wasted trillions of Nigerian money on electioneering campaign, hoping to recuperate after winning the election. He promised that he would spend a term in office, but his wife, Patience Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, Femi Fani Kayode, Ayo Fayose etc beguiled and hoodwinked him into declaring for a second term. It was incontrovertible evidence in the lives of Jonathan and his wife that they really enjoyed being in position of power, influence and authority. Suffice it to say that his wife, Patience Jonathan really misapplied her power as the First Lady....she became so arrogant and insulted the personalities of all the opposition members. Witty talk does not excuse bad manners....You can't always be lucky, GEJ didn't only lose an election, he destroyed PDP and would forever remain the only incubent disgraced out of power. The excesses of his wife was just too much, but he didn't do anything about it, he allowed his wife to continue to be rude and insult everyone without knowing that she was indirectly destroying his political avidity. The question now is....where is Ayo Fayose and what new song will FFK now sing.

  106. FUCK you and your retarded jonathan. Return all the money you stole you thieves. The only reason jonathan bowed out in shame was cos of the peace accord he signed and the global attention that was drawn. He knows he has to learn from the Charles Taylor experience.

  111. You re right Mr Reno..Jonathan has really tried concerning that...Come to think of it he said no Nigerian life is worth his political ambition and he admit defeat in good faith....I must tell u ,most ppl do not see this coming..... #UHaveTriedEbele but the corruption aspect is where I scored him lowest and I guess GEJ is too soft and not strict enough to take bold decision to wipe out d gluttons and sanitize d system but I like his personality as a person...

  112. Bloodless transfers of power are the rule, not the exception in the world today. GEJ deserves no pat on the back for that.

    1. And which incumbent president has done that since Nigeria gained independence. You are truellt only talking because GEJ is a good man and did not use his power of incumbency. Look around Africa and see what is happening.

  113. Humm, some truth there though but he had the power to do better. All the same Good luck to him

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hmmmmmmm.
I believe same will be experienced during buhari's tenure esp corruption and reviving dead projects.
GEJ allowed peace to reign by accepting defeat which he would have won if he had the foresight and I respect him for that. Change is here to stay.

  116. PLEASE NIGERIANS LET THIS BULLSHIT TALK OF HOW GMB WOULD HAVE REACTED GO. IT'S NOT A COMPETITION. WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY NONSENSE ANALYSIS OF WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF GEJ DID OR DIDN'T DO. LETS FIND A WAY OF MOVING FORWARD. IF NOT, THEN YOU CAN SULK FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS. DO NOT FOLLOW THE STEPS OF PEOPLE LIKE RENO OMOKRI. HE IS A WEAK MAN WHO CAN'T SEE A WRONG DOING AND SAY IT DESPITE THE CONSEQUENCES. HE IS A VERY WEAK MAN. LET'S MOVE FORWARD AND HAVE A UNITED NIGERIAN FRONT. GEJ WASN'T THE MESSIAH WE EXPECTED, FINE HE PLAYED HIS PART. NO NEED TO REMIND US OF THE INSIGNIFICANT THINGS HE DID TOO LATE OF HOW HE DID HIS OWN JOB. NO MORE COMPARISONS. LET'S JUST MOVE FORWARD. I BELIEVE WE HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS AHEAD OF US....BOKO HARAM, THE ECONOMY, STANDARD OF LIVING CORRUPTION.... GOD GRANT US TEH GRACE TO SURVIVE.... AMEN!

  117. Kudos to jega because he brought out ways that would be very difficult for elections to be rigged even though there were videos of pdp rigging, it was stil minimal. So the credits go to jega and not goodluck. He postponed the election because he needed time to plan how to rig but God is with buhari that's why they failed in all their evil plans

NO NEED TO REMIND US OF THE INSIGNIFICANT THINGS HE DID TOO LATE, OR HOW HE DID HIS OWN JOB. IF SOMEONE SAYS TINUBU OR OBASANJO STARTED A GOOD PROCESS PEOPLE WOULD ARGUE JUST TO BE ANTAGONISTIC NOT THAT THEY EVEN HAVE SMALL GREY MATTER. IS 2011 TEH FIRST TIME BUHARI DID NOT AGREE? ABEG LEAVE STORY. WOULD YOU BLAME GEJ FOR THE DEATHS IN 2015 ELECTION IN RIVERS BECAUSE HE LOST. SOME PEOPLE'S PROBLEM IS THAT THEY ARE IRRATIONALLY SENTIMENTALY TRIBALLISTICALLY ANTAGONISTIC BY DEFAULT. THIS IS A CULTURE MOST NIGERIANS NEED TO UNLEARN. ALWAYS WANTING TO ARGUE. ALWAYS WANTING TO OPPOSE. NO TIME TO LOOK AT THINGS. NO TIME TO EVEN READ. NO THINK MOST IMPORTANTLY TO THINK OBJECTIVELY. NO MORE COMPARISONS. LET'S JUST MOVE FORWARD. I BELIEVE WE HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS AHEAD OF US....BOKO HARAM, THE ECONOMY, RELIGIOUS AND TRIBAL DIFFERENCES, POWER SUPPLY, TRANSPORTATION, STANDARD OF LIVING CORRUPTION.... OUR LEADERS HAVE USED THESE THINGS TO KEEP US IN CHECK FOR DECADES. KEEP US BUSY ARGUING ABOUT INSIGNIFICANT THINGS AND THE REAL PROBLEMS PERSIST. GOD GRANT US TEH GRACE TO SURVIVE.... AMEN!

  120. @TAMARA SPLASH. YOU ARE THE KIND OF HUMAN BEINGS THAT GIVE ROOM TO LEADERS THAT REFUSE TO LEAVE POWER WHEN THEY SHOULD. YOUR PROBLEM IS A SIMPLE ONE, THOUGH IT SEEMS COMPLEX TO YOU: UNDERSTANDING THE RIGHT THING TO DO. DOING THE RIGHT THING DOES NOT REQUIRE APPRAISAL FROM OTHERS, OR CONFIRMATION, IT'S JUST DOING THE RIGHT THING. SHOULD WE GIVE YOU CREDIT FOR EATING BREAKFAST BETWEEN 7AM AND 12 NOON???? JONATHANS CHOICES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE HIS OWN ALONE. THEY ARE IN THE INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE VOTED HIM INTO POWER, THAT IS WHY HE IS CALLED "OUR LEADER". WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE CAN DO AS HE WISHES AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. I GUESS SANI ABACHA THOUGHT THE SAME. IF YOUR EMPLOYER IS PAYING YOU 10K A MONTH AND YOU WASH THE OFFICE TOILET ON TOP, DO YOU TAKE IT BECAUSE HE IS YOUR EMPLOYER AND CAN TREAT YOU LIKE SHIT? TAMARA SPLASH PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT YOUR STATEMENTS.

  122. Freedom blossom my foot. Mr. Reno your principle is just a pretender. He is the most deceitful and wicked president Nigeria ever had. He had tried to divide Nigerians through ethnic and religious line, simply because of his selfish ambition. His administration has underperformed, but resort to lieing about achievement in office. His desperation made him stoop so low to mudslinging opposition, rather than campaign on substantial issues. I am not surprise by his swiftness in congratulating GMB, he will still cunningly want to prevent the president elect getting there. Kudos to Jega for insisting on Card Readers, it could have been pdp normal rigging business. I don't have any iota of respect for his administration and pray Nigerians will never come across such a bad leader again.

  123. PEOPLE SHOULD STOP THIS RUBBISH TALK NOW.... GEJ LET THE OPPOSITION WIN. YOU MEAN HE ALSO LET HIMSELF LOSE. IT'S LIKE SAYING YOU ALLOWED YOURSELF GO TO HELL. TO WHAT BENEFIT IS SUCH AN ACT TO GEJ. EXCUSES EXCUSES. GEJ DIDN'T LET GMB WIN. THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR WHO THEY WANT. OR ARE YOU SAYING NORMALLY GEJ SHOULD COMPROMISE THE VOTING PROCESS? PROBLEM OF MANY NIGERIANS IS THAT WE HAVE BECOME SO SKEWED DOING THE RIGHT THING HAS NOW BECOME A FAVOUR TO SOMEONE ELSE. I PAID MY SONS SCHOOL FEES. PEOPLE SHOULD HOP ON ONE LEG AND MAAKE SOUNDS LIKE A BABOON.

    1. That is what African presidents have been doing since time imemorial so when we have one who did not do it, he is definitely a gem. By his accepting defeat before the final results were even read out( just to ensure peace and ease of the tension nation wide) he deserves a nobel peace prize. He is the man of the moment.
