Dear LIB readers: Is this karma or biological coincidence?

From a male LIB reader...
I know a perfect karma tale. Quite long but I would abbreviate. A spinster had an affair with a married senior colleague at her workplace. About nine months after breaking up with her married man lover, along came a dazzling young man searching for his missing rib. One thing led to the other and then they started dating. Noticing the relationship was getting serious, her conscience prompted her to confess her past misdeeds to her bf. Of course it was a bitter pill to swallow for the young man but none the less decided to proceed with the relationship believing she had turned a new leaf. He then proposed and she joyeously accepted to marry him. Approximately a year into the matrimony, along came a bouncing baby boy. Instead of bringing joy to the family, his arrival became a source of huge suspicion by the father. Now here's the interesting part.
You see the man and his wife were both dark, tall and had moderate features. Guess what? The baby looked nothing like his parents. He came out with an emphasized fair skin, hairy and large pair of ears. A perfect contrast to his parents. Of course doubts crept into the mind of the dad and he immediately insisted on conducting a DNA test. The result proclaimed him the biological father to a degree of 99.999% accuracy. Now here comes the odd twist. One day whilst watching tv, the wife spots her erstwhile ex-married man lover, draws the attention of her husband to him and lo and behold the man bore a striking resemblance to their son. Similar skin complexion, similar shape of head, similar ear architecture and possibly similar build. A worried and baffled husband now leaves in perpetual doubt whether the boy he claims to be his son is actually his. Bearing in mind the striking semblence btw the boy and his wife's ex lover. Now my question is: Is this karma coming back to haunt the wife or just pure biological coincidence? And secondly how should the husband manage the emotional trauma of this predicament?

  12. Karma I think it is and not a biological coincidence. The man should approach the woman and insist that she tells him the truth. In the process, he should guarantee her that her marriage is still safe by so doing, the said woman will open up and you know the rest of the story, a problem half solved is half shared. things we do in the secret has a way of 'hunting us back'

The DNA test should comfort the husband.Sometimes kids don't have to look like their parent. He should see this as a biological councidence

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think is karma
Since the DNA has proof that he is the father
    Then he is
It happens at times that a child will not look like the parents but like someone they know or is close to them
But there is a possibility the woman and the man are still close but nothing sexual

  25. It is a simple case, since they have undergone DNA test and confirmed the baby as his, no cause for alarm. It is just a coincidence that the baby resemble her former lover.

  28. The man should stop stressing himself over the issue cos DNA seems to be the best option for such test. He should go for another DNA test n forget about the looks once its confirmed that d same blood runs in their vein. Moreover, y did d wife called his attention to her ex on tv?

  29. It is clear who has the baby of course (the new husband) except the woman was still having an affair with her ex-married-man. Look at this way.

She had an affair with the married man about 9months ago, if she's pregnant at that time for the married man, she would have put to bed early in her new marriage.

One year after she married her new man (that means 1year + 9months = almost 2years), she gave birth to her baby. So, her new man owns the baby and the DNA also confirmed that too.

Except the woman was still seeing the married man while being married to her new man would such a thing happened.

Or the DNA test was compromised!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Its no karma. Its biological possible. Every child is made of 50% mother and 50% father. But the dominant genes which control the dominant characters show in the phenotype. The recessive gene on the other though makes up 50% of the genotype of an individual is usually hidden. Now, when two pple make a child, there is a chance that the offspring is made of the recessive genes of both parents making the child look tottally dissimilar from both parents. Two heterozygous tall parents Tt and Tt can give birth to a short child tt (homozygous).

  38. First of all, there is nothing karmic about this situation, if another woman had slept with her husband then you ask is this were karma. Secondly, if the man is stil not certain, about his son's paternity, get another DNA test, there is no crime against second opinion. Lastly in my opinion, i feel its just coincidence that the child has similar features with the other man. Now, if the husband were looking for a reason to step away from his responsibility to mother and child, then he should man up about it and stop looking for needles in the ocean.

    . . .My opinion.

  47. It is pure coincidence

My grandmother once told me that...if a lady is pregnant..if she enjoys the company of a guy...I don't mean sexual company...I mean just talking to a particular guy....when the baby is born....the child will/might have the features of that guy

That is why it is always advised that...if u are a pregnant lady...mind the people u chat with..Bcos ur baby will tend to have their features

If u are a pregnant woman...n u sit close to an albino or u chat frequently with that albino in ur office....don't be surprise if u give birth to a very fair child irrespective that u n ur husband are dark skinned

So Mr man....relax.....the child is yours

  48. I know of someone who gave birth to boy that looked exactly like her bff (a guy).

Now this bff has always been a source of concern to her boyfriend then (now husband) , and always caused issues between she and her boyfriend (now husband)

But she never had anything sexually to do with this dude before she said yes to her boyfriend (now husband).

Wen the baby boy was born, oh there was so much joy and as he grew, there was so much suspicions fling around as to who the actual father of the boy was, a DNA test was conducted and the husband was confirmed the father.

The boy has grown to a teenage boy and now has a striking resemblance of his dad, so now the question is, what happened in his early life???

  50. The DNA test had already proven a point so why go back to her past life?this is why so many people don't talk about their past,he should move on it could be a biological coincidence that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's ignorance on the husband's part. Get him a biology book and guide him to the chapters on DNA that discuss how it's the definitive determinant on paternity. Have another DNA test to verify the first. If he's still having suspicions after the new test, he's got a mental health issue that is independent of his wife, who should watch her back in the marriage. His obssession with her past could result in him harming the baby and her.

    ReplyDelete

  55. This is no rocket science. The DNA test result must have been manipulated. More-so, if it was done in Nigeria. Or else the machine was faulty. Or else the machine operator was dumb about operating it. Or else, all of the above.

  57. Mtcheew, once the DNA has proven him de father of his son why is he worried??? Its just his psychology deceiving him, nothing else. There is something called recessive gene. Its possible the gene of the baby is not dominant on that of his parents. He looks notin like the woman's ex lover joor! Plus women shud learn to keep dia mouths shut! 75. Why do you like making up stories and without any sense? Go back and read the timeline of your story and you will see there was no way the wife's former lover could have been the father of the baby unless of course she was still sleeping with him even while married. However, no where did you allude to this in your story. Also, if the DNA says the husband is 99% the biological father of the child then he is. No DNA test will say 100%. It just doesn't happen. If you want to make your blog interesting by including all this silly stories then present them exactly as what they are intended to be; aade up fictional stories seeking reactions of everyday people who visit your blog. Nothing wrong with being honest for once Linda. Cant believe I used to like you and now you've just turned yourself into some money hungry sell out who gives out charity to equally hungry readers to cleanse your conscience. 82. Ever wonder why couples start to look alike after a while? Sex is deeper than just a man and woman coming together, it is spiritual. There is an exchange of Dna between each parties at each intercourse. The lady has got her former husband's Dna codes running through her veins. The truth is, the child will behave like her ex husband when he grows up. Moral of the story: get married before starting sex and after getting married have sex with only ur partner. You dont want strange things flowing through ur veins.

Stop wasting your time praying. how do u want a genuine relationship whereas u are destroying someone else's ? Do u know how many wives go on their knees and pray for the woman who knows the man is married but still wants him.

  137. Lol... Karma and biological coincidence having fun .. The man should take it with good faith and trying having a second. If it turns out same choi u know what to do

    ReplyDelete
  138. Not karma, and the man needs to do another paternity test to confirm cos I suspect the first has been altered, plus the ex-lover needs to be involve this time and must do a paternity test too.

  139. What a story .
He should go for another DNA test outside their comfort zone .
The husband should go back to his mom and ask her who his real dad . The man might be the guy's relation or daddy without both of them knowing and their son got his look from his grandfather .
Now ladies , this is why we should close our legs to married men or multiple men . You never know who knows who .

  140. They are both stupid. Why worry urself when you have done DNA test. Can two dark ppl not produce a fair child again,or do we not have humans we have similar features with. My bestfriend and I looked so much alike in school that we smtimes lied to people we were twins and they believed. Let him keep searching for smthn that isn't lost. So we must be clones of our parents now. Instead to be happy God gave you a heathy child.

  143. That's why its not necessary to bring your past into your future. Start new and fresh. If she had kept that piece of information to her self would this be happening? No! This thing actually has the potential to ruin her marriage. Does she think the man doesn't have things he did in the past that he isn't proud of? But yet avoided bringing it to the table just because of how chaotic it might be and its irrelevance to their marriage. People should think before they do things! She should reap whatever she has sowed. Na her wahala be that

  146. You might call me a religious fanatic or over spiritual, but I tell you if a man has sexual relationship with a woman he has left a part of him with her... so I guess that is just a manifestation

    ReplyDelete
  147. Is not karma ,scientist have proven that when one mate or have sex frequently with one another . There is high possibility of depositing some fragment of ur DNA to one another genes. So it isn't coincidence ,is a fact .
