Troops who recaptured Baga to be given special promotion

The Nigerian Army says it will be placing all the Nigerian troops involved in the mission to recapture Baga from Boko Haram on special promotion. The promotion was announced by the Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah while addressing the soldiers in Baga today February 25th. In his speech, the Army Chief celebrated the army officers and urged them to keep up the tempo & rescue more towns.
"The entire country is singing praises of Nigerian soldiers for the bravery exhibited in the fight against the insurgents. I urge you to keep the tempo by striving hard to record more successes. Never again will Nigerians suffer this kind of large scale destruction in the name of insurgency. The war is almost ended. We will liberate Dikwa, Bama, Gwoza, Marte and other places in a few days time" he said

  17. While commending the Authorities for this gesture, I will humbly state that those lives were deliberately sacrificed 4 no reason at all as it could have been prevented if the powers that be really wanted 2 end the insurgency. All those that profited from the insurgency will live a miserable life till death. Amen in the name of NATURE.

  21. Did he say BAGA specifically, bcos if he is planning that for the liberators of BAGA alone then it is bad,but I doubt it until I read the complete speech myself.

  36. This is good.

But what never cease to amaze me is that these are the same Nigerian soldiers that were criticized for being in the army for job security after they complained of substandard weapons.

Does it mean all the timid soldiers are now dead and all that are left now are the brave ones?
Abi our soldiers were given new hearts ni?

Now that military is winning the war, does it mean USA is now selling us weapon since Jonathan claimed that was the reason we cudn't stop BokoHaram before?

They claim APC/Buhari (opposition) is the sponsor of BokoHaram. Now that the Nigerian Army is winning, does it mean their sponsors are now short of cash?

Could it be that it is now that our prayers are being answered? Or Jonathan’s visit to places of worship is now paying off?

***Instead of erecting monument where countless names of our fallen soldiers were slotted, Jonathan should have done the magic he's now doing and most definitely, more than half of those brave men would have still been alive today (that's not counting the innumerable civilians who lost their lives). Did I hear someone say this their destiny? Yeah, sounds Nigerian. Typical!

I honestly don't know the magic Jonathan is doing to win this war, but I sure know what brought about the magic. It's called election and the cry for change!
