    9. Let's stop being sentimental. This is election time in Africa. People are doing everything to win votes.

When Buhari was ruler, did we have poor people in Nigeria? The truth remains, even if you bring Obama to be president, there will still be poor and needy people.

Are there no poor people in Lagos with the APC government?

      Please.

So per your argument, since this is election year in Africa it's ok to exploit people you've done nothing to alleviate their suffering?

Irrespective of who did it, wrong is wrong. I don't claim to be on any moral high ground, but there's a limit to everything. Why are Nigerian suffering from such level of moral bankruptcy?
Should we sink as a nation because we've all sinned? When do we get to turn away from our shameful past? Isn't our children's future worth saving? How do we let people we employed to mange or nation's affairs destroy our nation's welfare? Why are we so short sighted? Why are we so complacent when a few individuals are playing with our future? How can millions surrender to hundreds? Why are we content with blaming others when we are architects of our own demise? How do we expect others to care about us when we refuse to care for ourselves? How can we call ourselves gaint of Africa yet we have refugees in Chad and Cameroon? How can our fellow Nigerians (irrespective of religion, creed or tribe) take refuge in other countries yet we deploy our soldiers to fight in another nation's civil war? How can a house divided even dream of winning? Why are we too busy worrying about our reputation to the world, when the whole world already knows the truth?
You might think it's the Northerners so it's ok for them to be forced out of their homes (am not even sure what in God's name justifies that thought), but know that if you call yourself a Christian, as Christians you are commanded to love your neighbor as yourself. Love thy enemy (remember that command)?
More so, as these ones are taking refuge in another nation, your own are treated like less than human in the west. You want the govt to do something about how Nigerian citizens are treated in Malaysia, South Africa and other nation's right; who told you that a man that disregards another will regard you? If you chase rat while your house burns down, don't expect anyone to sympathize with you after the fact.
My fellow Nigerians let us take charge of our future and our children's future. Let's vote and if the next person under performs, we come together again and vote him out, until people get it. The seat is longer for slackers, do provable work or you will be fired! I wish we had better option for this race, but we start with what we have... A journey of a thousand steps begins with one step. By God's grace more qualified and younger blood will feel secured enough to come run for leadership positions!
      We must help ourselves!

Why jubilate when these thieves give you food?
For your info, they are the ones who has made you poor because they refused to provide jobs and make the economy favorable for your sons and daughters who are supposed to be providing for you!
      How foolish can Nigerians be???
Is it not incredible how the poor rejoice at the slightest tricky benevolence from the rich?
Is it not amazing how people living in almost unthinkable poverty worship those who live in almost unthinkable opulence?

    3. People let you with this kind of mind set is why Nigeria is sinking into this perpetual hopeless state. You're so full of sentiment you can't even recognize the truth even when it slaps you upside your head. People like you will make excuses for Boko Haram if they give you N5000. May God have mercy on Nigeria and purge of this piss-poor morality.
You rather news outlets not mention this so GEJ will win. What exactly do you consider corruption? Shouldn't his achievements (if he has any) be enough to win him votes. This is where you find out how much one believes in his work. GEJ has been trying to convince us that he's done so much for Nigeria in these past 6years, yet he doesn't even believe himself. I wonder why?

  47. So Jona still continues to think that the civic right of Nigerians is as cheap as a bag of small rice and yam. What a shame and a lack of ideas as the 21st century demands. Campaign should be to speak to peoples' conscience through your manifestos of what you intend to do with their mandates and not bribery and humiliating them, equating their mandates and civic rights to bag of rice and yam. What a foolish act!
