Kwara State University new Code of Conduct & Dressing

Got this from a LIB reader;
"Linda, you just have to see the kind of ridiculous rules they put forward in my school. They've turned Kwara State University into something else and now using Secondary school rules to control us." See the rest after the cut...

    1. A University was once a place where u not only sought academic knowledge but also explored and found yourself. U were at liberty to form ur own theories about any and everything, and challenge those theories too! A University was a place where men and women were made.

      Unfortunately, two or three decades of almost vendetta-like destruction of such freedom of thought and expression has resulted in a system that produces half-baked individuals not much better than Secondary school graduates. University "graduates" lacking not only academically but completely missing the all-important self-discovery aspect of the citadels.

      Society therefore sees them as little more than petulant children. The "leaders of tomorrow" have totally missed out on the phase meant to prepare them for leadership. The rules adopted by most such "Universities" only reflect this damning state of things.

      Unfortunately, the real loser in the end will be Nigeria.

      Sad.

      I THOUGHT MOST OF YOU PEOPLE ARE SAYING SAI BUHARI, THIS IS THE BEGINNING. GO AND CHECK HOW ISIS STARTED. ALL THIS FUNNY RULES AS THEY CALL THEM NOW ARE IN THE ALREADY DECLARED SHARIA STATES BUT STILL SOMEBODY PLAYING TO THE INTERNATIONAL GALARY WILL TELL YOU GUYS THAT THE CONSTITUTION IS SUPERIOR TO SHARIA SO FOR YOU TO MAKE NIGERIA A SHARIA STATE, YOU HAVE TO FIRST SUSPEND OR CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION LIKE YOU CAN'T DO ANY OF THE TWO. I JUST PITY YOU GUYS OF THIS GENERATION. IF YOU DON'T START FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHT NOW, I DON'T KNOW WHEN YOU WILL START. MAYBE WHEN THEY START FLOGGING YOU INTO LINE LIKE THEY FLOG THEIR COWS. 69. For your information, these are obtainable in Schools at all APC controlled States. The policy will be extended to the general public (not only schools) if APC wins the Presidential election. It's one of their decisions arrived at in their National Working Committee meeting but kept pending till after May 29. APC........... Change!

They instructed all their Governors to test the waters by introducing this to all secondary and tertiary institutions in all APC Controlled States. This is a prelude to making it a National Law should Buhari/APC wins. Expect more from the fundamentalists.

  73. Well, this is not strange. I schooled in unical. You visit the opposite sex's hostel from 4 to 10pm. You don't wear sleeveless to school, you will be bounced at the gate by nasty security men...of course, no cohabiting in hostels by couples, it is not fair to other inhabitants of the hostel... There are a lot of other rules such as impersonation, exam malpractice, etc that are taken seriously but some students falter. All the same, if you are caught, you face whatever punishment awaits you.
