The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to come out clear and explain to Nigerians the links between it and the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, which informs and propels its feverish fixation and huge interest in his stay in office.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement on Saturday said it is more than curious that the APC has continued to fabricate stories and show undue interest on Jega, adding that such raise a lot of questions for the opposition and the INEC Chairman.
“Undoubtedly, the frenzy, hysteria and spate with which the APC has been inventing stories regarding Prof. Jega’s stay in office even when nothing suggests that such was on the table, raise a lot of issues.
“We ask, is there any underlining issue or arrangement between APC and Prof. Jega which the opposition is hell-bent to protect, informing its anxiety and apprehension towards his stay in office?
“While it is noted that the APC is a party of one week, one lie, we in the PDP look beneath the surfaces to the deeper issues propelling the lies. We therefore challenge the APC to come out clean and tell Nigerians the real reason behind their false alarms and uncontrolled nervousness regarding Prof. Jega ahead of the 2015 general elections.
“Finally, we wish to remind the leadership of INEC that Nigerians are monitoring its activities and series of unfolding political events ahead of the elections, and will not accept anything less than the conduct of credible, free and fair general elections come March 28 and April 11, 2015”, the party said.
Signed:
Olisa Metuh

DeleteJega is a muslim and I'm sure it will favor Buhari if he remains in d office. Hence d reason y there's all ds buhaha. #my thoughts sha#
DeleteThe link is that Jega has promised free and fair elections but anybody some people demon possed bring will rig and cause chaos in our our land
ReplyDeletePdp should take several sits biko
Deletepdp should tell us why dey don't want jaga and planing to fix der own candidate to rig d election.wen Jaga conducted free and fair election in 2011 for our curruption president no questions but now dat pdp see dat aso rock ll not receive dem again they started asking stupid question#change#
DeleteWe all know changing Jega by pdp,it will turn out to be election of deceit, why APC is fixated on him not being changed is that he doesn't compromise
ReplyDeletePDP looking for faults. Party Oshiii!
ReplyDeletePDP STFU.....what stupid link are they referring to?.......what's the concern of APC with Jega apart from tribe?........Prof Jega was appointed by their candidate, controlled by this present administration in manipulating of all the elections and now that they think they are losing ground they have to blame some people for their failure to guide their appointee. Rubbish!
ReplyDelete::::::::::::::::::::::::::QUEENMAYA::::::::::::::::::::::
Alika like you telling PDP to STFU. SMH...you done chop?

I tire for this two prostitutes oo
ReplyDeleteAPC is just so worrisome...
Jega cant be removed unless the constitution states otherwise.... n in which case it says, b4 d termination of d INEC chairman tenure, he must go on a 3 month compulsory leave and thats wat is abt happening. His tenure expires in four months time
Why is APC so scared!!!! We all know they dnt stand a chance... their power is in condemning d opposition and seekin for public sympaty
My dear please where did the constitution ever say such...I am a lawyer and very conversant with the laws ofNigeria and iI have never seen such a constitution...maybe you can educate me with the section of the constitution that says that? And if you are talking about the section of d law that refers to Civil servants, may I remind you that Jega's position is by appointment and as such doesn't qualify within d definition of a civil servant?! ..Let's stop following political parties blindly be it APC or PDP...our vote is our power, let's use it wisely!.
DeleteGod bless you dear.
DeleteElection no be by mouth ooo....
DeleteAPC stands a very strong chance that's exactly why GEJ is practically living in Lagos now , to at least win another APC state to his greedy lying ass.
Olodo what do you know? Which constitution? Jega is not a civil servant and is not bound by any civil service act (which you quoted). He is an appointed public servant whose appointment/sack/retirement whatsoever would pass through the senate.
DeletePDP, should stop all these excuses and lies and tell Nigerians their wicked plans. Nigerians are wiser now that is where PDP problem started.
ReplyDeleteSee PDP talking about credible election. Wonders shall never end.... Smh. #change is inevitable
APC and PDP mata don tire me
ReplyDeleteThe ruling party looks more like the opposition with all these accusation. We have a weak and clueless President, honestly u don't expect the party he leads to be any better. Shame!
ReplyDeleteKhai...dis PDP pple can b so stupid ehn.
ReplyDeleteI wonder oh!!!
ReplyDeleteNext pls...lindaobserve
ReplyDelete@lwkmd_naija
Just like many allegations raised by APC, seems recent one of an attempt to remove Jega is gradually gathering momentum.
ReplyDeleteSo the Jega that conducted the poll that brought GEJ to power is no longer reliable, because he has refused to be bent,he refused to postpone the election till you people forced him using the military.
We are watching you people,we would have been done with this election last week if not for your evil machination.
This accusing finger at Jega is another level of pettiness, but whether they like it or not,Jega must conduct this election. And it will be conducted with electrical card reader.
~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA LUMIA
Wot surprise me most is d fact dat PDP oppose d use of electrical card reader...
DeleteWhen did it become electrical card reader? Not only electrical card reader, NEPA card reader is included too,, ode! If the election was conducted as scheduled people like you would have been disenfranchised. Up till now, millions of Nigerians are yet to collect their PVC and you still don't want to summon common sense in your brain. I thought you are wiser than your comment. Aturu Apo/Jabi
DeletePrepare to die bcos Jega is gone. The money u have collected from APC ve made u to reason upside down.
Deletestory for the GODS..NEXT PLS.. APC 2015 LIKE IT OR NOT
ReplyDeleteDrama in 9ja politics!
ReplyDeleteWahala, they oo pot they call kettle black.
ReplyDeleteINEC, I am watching you.
ReplyDeleteINEC, I am watching you.
ReplyDeleteThis Olisa Metuh should go n sit down with his nonsense statements...we Nigerians are equally curious as to why d PDP govt want to forcefully retire Jega now, especially since he is retiring in a matter of months anyway....obviously if APC doesn't raise the alarm now and they let Jona and his goons throw out Jega at this critical time, then the PDP will have the power appoint someone who will dance wholly to their tune....We are not stupid Mr Metuh...we know what you r trying to do n all this subliminal messages designed to plant things in our heads won't work!!!! If Jega was good enough for office all this while, then he should be good enough to finish his tenure n conduct d election!!
ReplyDeleteOK, I can see u want to impress ur oga on your first say in the office.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see that coming
ReplyDeleteOlisa Metuh, why are you crying when the Head is off. You were there when JEGA rigged the forthcoming election through the poor logistics in the distribution of the PVC in the south and you kept quiet. Over 2m PVCs yet to be collected in Lagos because they moved them to special collection centers outside where we registered. Even when you visit the collection center, INEC officials are not always there. How can JEGA explain the 88% collection rate in NE and NW while we have less than 65% in SW and SE. It was duly reported by one of the INEC officials in Thisday that JEGA employed the use of local chiefs in the distribution of PVCs. In most places, house to house distribution and collection by proxy was adopted. No wonder, some GEJ supporters are calling for his head. For me, I think Jega has failed and should be booted out.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Jega is a failure!
DeleteThe only sensible comment , not the other idiots commenting trash from there dungeon
DeleteOlise metu you are the above two anonymous.
DeleteGood for dem! Make una come clear una selves oh... Pdp keeps on unveiling all your plans.. Even d Tinubu and Osibanjo's covenant!!!
ReplyDeletePDP shud shut the f*ck up..
ReplyDeleteLol apc oh! Come out clear! Jega is obviously biased! How can the majority of Pvc's be collected in the most political unstable region in Nigeria! This man is truly up to something! Before Nigerians start insulting can u be more realistic in your judgement Snmh
ReplyDeleteSo you mean to say Jega would go to peoples houses, offices begging them to come collect PVC? This unstable part of Nigeria is the most hit my this present evil administration, so that best explains why they so hard yearn for change. Sai BaBa
DeleteI think Jega should continue oooo, why is it now they want 2 remove him, why is it now he his not more capable, I beggi pdp members should go and rest oooo.
ReplyDeleteHeard Jega is a disciplined no-nonsense credible man.. what stupid link?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of FUCKERY statement is this? Shamelezz.
ReplyDeleteJega has been trying to get innovative enough to create an election that is as free and fair as possible & PDP is really scared of that cos they know the nation wants them and president Jonathan out.
ReplyDeletePDP shouldn't try the power of the people o. Ok, a word they say is enough for the wise.
They are right. This Jega is really suspiscious delivery such a high percentage of pvc's in disturbed areas in the NE troubled parts of the country and yet having major problems distributing those in Lagos and so forth. It all calls to question . Also why is there so much rumours about plans to sack him by, the APC when the president has severally suggested and said that he has confidence in his ability to carry out the 2015 elections. Why the jitteriness. They have even turned Nigerians against their own military. I HATE APC FOR THEIR CONSTANT PROPAGANDA. FOR HEAVENS SAKE COULD THEY STOP THEIR CONSTANT "GARAGARA" AND BE CIVILIZED. NIGERIANS ARE TIRED.
ReplyDeleteWhy is pdp askinf apc to explain their connection
ReplyDeletePdp should be asked that because they pressurised jega
Using the military to postpone election
Now they want to sack him
Maybe they wanted to use him again
And you expect apc to be quiet
Jega was INEC chief when THE PEOPLE freely CHOSE Jonathan in 2011.
ReplyDeleteNow, THE PEOPLE want to choose freely again, but same PDP does not want THE PEOPLE to CHOOSE freely because they have disappointed them.
PDP now desperately wants to rig the elections, Jega has suddenly become compromised because he has refused to play ball by refusing THE PEOPLE CHOICE. He has suddenly become like the June 12 INEC chief who went ahead and announced the PEOPLE CHOICE despite IBB and military service chiefs objections.
Jonathan's anticipated rigging will fail in 2015, APC more credible than PDP — Fani Kayode
PDP AND THEIR FAKE N DESPERATE PROPAGANDA. BCOS YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION, YOU WANT TO CHANG JEGA. GOD IN HIS INFO IT MERCY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU PDP TO BE IN POWER IN JUNE.
ReplyDeletePDP make una leave dis man alone ooo, I take God beg una leave d poor jega alone ooo.
ReplyDeleteAll Pro jonathan supporters are as stupid as dia cluess president. Sai Buhari!!!
ReplyDeleteDrama! Hian!
ReplyDeletepdp should go abeg
ReplyDeleteJega has been bought over by his brother Buhari.
ReplyDeleteHis statement on postponement of election says it all.
Truly this election was postponed to allow the present activity against Boko Haram which we are all witnessing today. Besides INEC wasn't ready if not why are they still distributing pvc now. Would you guys ready prefer a lot of Nigerians killed during d election by Boko (which would have been d case had the election not been postponed)
But jega like all his brothers would always like to score cheap political point. He is compromised. I am sure
PDP terror party, if they get the slightest hint dat one is against them, dey would qikly arrange dat person. God is watching us all. Linda take note!
ReplyDeletePDP terror party, if they get the slightest hint dat one is against them, dey would qikly arrange dat person. God is watching us all. Linda take note!
ReplyDeletebcos with Jega der is a 90 per certainty of d election nt rigged . foolish man

Jega has been compromised by apc thats y they want him to stay.malam na mallam..
ReplyDeletePDP and the presidency are scheming to remove Jega. That is because Jega refuses to do their bid. Nigeria is watching u Jonathan , we are wise now. Distribution of rice to all uniformed officers won't buy you votes. You have refused to pay civil servants Feb salary because you are using the money for campaign, sharing it to stakeholders. we will vote you out !! ISH 60:16.
ReplyDeleteJega was d inec chairman wen jona bcame d president ,he conducted d election now he don get link wit apc....like seriosly???
ReplyDeleteTell me what apc has accused pdp off that has not come true? I still don't know why this pdp can't just cover their face with shame. Now you can see the main reason election was postponed was because of they want to buy time to make sure the find reason to remove jega who refuses to work with jonathan to rig the coming election. Pdp end up making fool of themselves. They always go back to their vomit like dogs that they are. They have no reputation to protect. They are the witches and wizard bewitching this country. Fuck CAN,they failed us as they work with the moron jonathan to deceive this nation.

Jega is compromised. Everyone knows that. He should be sacked.
ReplyDeletePDP should let this jega rest biko

It is you Evil ppl that want to rig election by all means.
ReplyDeleteShame on the present administration ....a sitting and ruling administration that has to be now petty, and desperate performing eye service to Nigerians,it's all not be well with you and your Generations...oh it is now that you want to start dealing with corruption abi........
Nigerians be wise do not allow PDP do you wash wash alas your sufferings will continue
PDP we are watching you in this 6weeks ..........doing abracadabra politics . Was for Jona before but I have changed my mind.....if Jona can elect an Inec chairman in the first place that is not truthful or fair imagine what rubbish people he has been electing to run the country.
ReplyDeleteBoy there is no room for mistakes or second chance move over so that my life and those of my children will be better.

IN 2011 BUHARI AND HIS PEOPLE CLAIMED THAT THE ELECTION WAS RIGGED AND WAS NOT FREE AND FAIR, WAS IT NOT THE SAME JEGA THAT PRESIDED OVER THAT ELECTION? SO TELL ME WHY ARE THEY NOW INSISTING HE MUST OVER SEE THE CURRENT ELECTIONS? ONLY A FOOL WON'T SMELL A RAT
ReplyDeletePEOPLE DESPERADO PARTY - It is clear you can't outrig this one. Sorry. smh - so PDP is working with the UK to starve us of information about these girls; what has Nigerian Government said about these UK utterances? So the families don't need to know?? Fani Kayode can be sent to 'talkative' and 'lie' the information out of the UK. Vote Change!
