Exclusive pics: Armed robbers attack bus passengers at Ore

A gang of armed robbers attacked a vehicle loaded with Lagos passengers who left from Akure this morning. The robbers, who were about 15 in number, attacked immediately after the toll gate in Ore. They stole money, beat up passengers and manged to escape into the bush before police arrived.

The passengers that saw and heard them speak say they believe the robbers were Fulani cattle rearers. See more photos after the cut...

  25. It's not a new thing that they rob at that route, the government needs to intervene either by employing more security officials, or go in search of pple living in makeshift houses and chase them away!!

  74. Its a very terrible experience. I cant forget my experience last year around Obolafor. Those guys came out of the forest and were shooting sporadically at us but thank God the bullets didnt hit anybody. One of them even came to pull my cloth up na God save me say the guy changed his mind and dashed me one hot blow on my mouth instead of the rape. I cant travel on Nigerian road for a long distance journey again. This country is a dangerous jungle. With all the roadblocks no army managed to even shoot gun for them to run away. Immediately the thieves left police, army mopol all came. My question was, why didnt they all come before. Fishy things happening for obodo Naija.

  75. Hope they didn't harm anybody?
