Pastor Adeboye, Friday night, reiterated his call on members to ensure that they get their permanent voter cards, to enable them exercise their civic responsibility during next month’s general elections.
Speaking on the theme, ‘The Burden Bearer’, during the church monthly Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption Camp, Adeboye said the voter card is the only power the people have during election. He reminded the congregation that everyone was expected to collect and bring his/her card to the church on the first Sunday of January, saying that parish pastors will request for it. More pics after the cut...
Hahahahaha, Well its for a good course though...

DeleteThe church hs everythg 2 do with this. Soon u will be among d pple dt will say d church does not do anythg abt the situation and our society.

Delete@Dark b Lovely, so you didn't see picture evidence? Didn't u see members and even a pastor on d pulpit with his card? What is bad is bad.. Its purely politics in church, LTS not try and cover it sweet or deny it. Its wrong.

ReplyDeleteNawaoo!..Members worship their pastors as if they're God. Is this what Jesus preached about while he was on earth?..Instead of leading the people to get salvation and how to serve God, they're here talking about voters card....smh
ReplyDeleteHow do you guys even think sef? Do you just say arrant nonsense just because you have a phone and you can? Are members of the congregation not Nigerians? And if things gets worse now you'd rush to the same church to pray. This is a laudable devt. Afterall you didn't see them campaigning for a person in particular. Grow up Yall. Pls do

Thats commendable. The church has to be involved in the democratic process.
ReplyDeleteWe were asked to bring it even before Osibanjo was chosen.Be guided
ReplyDeleteChristians! Pls let's not be too quick to judge o. I see nothing wrong with a church praying to choose the right leader ( although I don't think taking the PVC to church is necessary but if God instructs otherwise, then who are we to question?). Let's stop this attitude of thinking that politics is for other religions or for people who call themselves christians but act otherwise (e.g.Abati and co). If the lion is not careful, the goat will take it's crown. It just simply means that if we do not involve ourselves in the political matters, then we cannot complain about those who lead us. I'm not an RCCG member and will never be one but I see nothing wrong in praying to choose wisely. Na God get all knowledge and wisdom o. E don already know wetin go happen.

The church has given one of her pastors to a candidate and tells you they're praying for the right candidate, u dey think with ur bom-bom ni?
DeleteIf the church no choose a candidate, why giving a candidate one of his pastors as running mate.
They wash off ur brain and give just d skull.
Sorry!
Hmmm! Bt werin concern church concern voters card ni. Anyways, Rev, Adeboya na good man!

Yes we must all have our voters card
ReplyDeleteYes oh, we must all have our voters card
ReplyDeleteHmmmm this is serious
ReplyDeleteAbeg I attended one of the services where they asked for their PVC cards. It wasn't for any ulterior motive prayer like 'Baba our man must win' it was a prayer to direct people to vote wisely. People need to stop speaking against Daddy G.O's sayings. you never know if God himself is reading this blog. #justsaying
ReplyDeletePastor Adeboye announced this need for voters card long before Buhari chose Osibanjo. Buhari just want to utilize the opportunity to launder his islamic agenda. Never mind I trust Adeboye will vote GEJ.

ReplyDeleteRCCG members, don't forget to vote GEJ. Ignore the old man who want to only contribute when he becomes a president. Like we youth should fold our hand threaten the president, dont do our best untill we become a president. Buhari is a bad Nigerian. Say no to Burari.

ReplyDeleteN 2015 general election drama jst began, is getting hotter n interesting day by day
ReplyDeleteMind what u say abt churches, pastors and God. Linda let ur gossip no reach dat area ooooh, b4 u offend God.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is dat 2015 go be shege!
ReplyDeletePastors have to pray, lend their voice n contribute to the good of this country by any means possible. Right from the days of old, God has been interested in who rules His ppl. God used to choose his kings n His servants used to anoint them. Who anointed David king? Abeg Linda agent of GEJ welcome back. We know una
ReplyDeletewhere is dis world going to that they now mix politics with religion
ReplyDeleteE reach like that?
ReplyDeleteLinda, Pastor Adeboye told everyone to get their PVC's at the congress in December, long before Prof Osibajo was announced as VP. Besides, I attend Victory house and all we were told was to ensure we register to vote, a message that should be encouraged by everyone including you. You are supposed to be a journalist, a little research prior to posting news will do you a world of good and make you seem less like a kangaroo reporter.
ReplyDeleteHmm... Very serious!
ReplyDeleteOdinma
ReplyDeleteIts really dense for anyone to say reigion shoud be separated from poitics. Poitics and governance are one and the same. How we as citizens are governed affects every area of our lives. If we had good roads, great power suppy, jobs we will have less dubious people in the church commiting despicable atrocities. If we can get genuine people from the church in government will corruption not dwindle, won't salaries be paid on time. Think people think. First it was that they wanted to islamize us now its Christians shouldn't be involved in poitics. This is indeed a generation of vipers! And trust me 8 of 10 of us would have cried "crucify him" if we were at Jesus' crucifixion!
ReplyDeleteLinda, verify things before you post them. Pastor Adeboye gave this directive in December, long before Prof Osibajo was announced as VP. News verification isn't rocket science miss, you should try it.
ReplyDeleteExactly! Churches must encourage the flock to do the right thing
ReplyDeleteNawah. Everbody and churches r now indirectly turning into politicians. The house of God is now becoming a polling ground. Small time now they will tell them who to vote for and they will agree cuz 'daddy' said so.
ReplyDeleteNa wah oooo holy ghost go enter the card and direct the voters lol
ReplyDeleteAnd how is this news!
ReplyDeleteCorrect move. Pastors should influence their congregations to excercise their civic duties. God will not come down to solve our problems. We have to do our responsibility and then pray thereafter.
ReplyDeleteMay God help us all.
Who is this anonymous idiot 6.43pm?what happened to ur brain? if people like you can't just afford to be decent on social media go fuck ur life off this page.Complete Nuisance!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda and all u people... it's just to ensure that members perform their civic duty. it's to encourage them to register and vote.... there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. if anything, it's d church informing and educating it's congregation. At church today we were encouraged to make sure we get our voters card and are sure we vote.
ReplyDeleteNo crime in what the church is doing....they just encourage all to make sure they vote for who the think will change things for them.....the era of sidon look and just assume Jesus will come to nigeria to help us solve our issues is gone.we should use our vote to change things and it there is nothing wrong if it starts from the church.
ReplyDeleteFOOLS THAT JUST COME ON HERE TO INSULT A MAN OF GOD,HE WAS CHALLENGING PEOPLE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT BY ADMINISTERING THEIR CIVIL RIGHT...ENSURING THEY GET THEIR PVC. SO NO CRIME IN THAT....YA'LL NEED TO CHILL..
ReplyDeletePeople can like to talk rubbish ehn...Pastor Adeboye has been talking about getting PVC even before APC chose oshinbajo...Some of you better watch what you say about men of God. So asking people to do what is right and vote of the "person of their choice" is now a problem in this country??? May God help you people o
ReplyDeleteWHAT IS THE MATTER WITH NIGERIANS ? WHEN GEJ WAS IN RCCG BEFORE 2011 ELECTIONS NOBODY SEES ANYTHING BAD IN IT BUT NOW THAT THINGS HAS GONE BAD FOR HIM IT IS TIME TO CRITIZE.
ReplyDeleteI see Buhari winning with all this stunt in place, rccg mbers plenty o
ReplyDeleteRubbish
ReplyDeleteI suggest next sunday each and. Every member should go 2 church with their APC membership card b4 accessing the church premises
ReplyDeleteThe issue of voters card was. Or after Osinbanjo was chosen
ReplyDeleteIt was last December I first heard about it at my parish. It has nothing to do with Osinbanjo, trust me.
Lol, okay o let's see how this ends
ReplyDeleteThis is good RCCG. WE NEED CHANGE IN NIGERIA.
ReplyDeleteD reason y politics n d whole world is ruled by evil is bcos xtians has bin asleep nw is d tym to wake up....
ReplyDeleteStrategy
ReplyDeleteGet it out! Dere not campaigning for any political party dere just prayin for God 2 guide dem right
ReplyDeleteI was in church today when my parish pastor asked all with their PVC to raise it up. And the prayer point was; " God any man not ordained by u should not be allowed to rule Nigeria. Let only the one whom u have ordained emerge victorious" I do not think that the prayer was for anyone in particular.
ReplyDeleteMs Linda, how come you are just reporting this news. The G.Ohas been encouraging RCCG MEMBERS to register to vote months before the APC primaries, now you you dim it fit as news because of the RCCG pastor. Be objective and unbiased in you reporting, Linda for GEJ Confirmed.
ReplyDeleteSo the rumors were true? Well good or bad? Depends on who you support.
ReplyDeleteChurch and politics.....this is very wrong... even Jesus avoided politics and the disciples never got involved in it. christains are not supposed to stain demselfs with this politics.
ReplyDeleteWhen a church ignores the bible and evangelism and embrace the politics of the day, SMH. Jesus never had anything to do with the government of the day! What have PVCs to do with making heaven.
ReplyDeleteIf the church is preaching that the end is near, how can the same church be turning the pews to political platform?
It happened in my RCCG Parish and less 6% of the adults showed theirs
ReplyDeletePolitics in the house of God! Ok o
ReplyDeletenothing wrong in reminding people to vote, I dont know about asking them to bring and show the card in church though
ReplyDeleteahhh linda confirm tinz b4 tellin us. it has been said since last year n its a way of encouraging us to vote for our ryt choice .. n who told all of u pipu dat we wre ask to vote 4 buhari .. no one has mention it in church gan .. GOD 4 giv u people oooo
