In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Mr Paul Bebenimibo, in Warri yesterday January 29th, Tompolo attacked Gen Theophilus Danjuma for calling for his arrest alongside Asari Dokubo and other Niger delta warlords. He said the treaty that merged the Northern and Southern protectorate of Nigeria expired last year and everyone should be grateful to President Jonathan for keeping Nigeria together. Part of his statement after the cut...but meanwhile, the presidency has condemned this war threat from Tompolo and others..
"Gen.
Danjuma and his cohorts should know that I remain resolute on my
position in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, that President Goodluck Jonathan
must win this election for Nigeria to continue to stay together. Gen.
Danjuma should be reminded that the devilish treaty that brought the
Southern and Northern Protectorates together in 1914 expired last
year. Danjuma and his likes, such as Gen. Buhari, Gen. Obasanjo and Mr.
Bola Tinubu, should be grateful to President Jonathan who has been
keeping this country together. If
not for President Jonathan, Nigeria would not have been any
more. Danjuma and his cohorts should be reminded of the saying that
‘those who live in glass house should not throw stones’. The call by
Gen. T.Y Danjuma (rtd) to arrest me and other agitators for a better
living for the people of the Niger Delta region is an indication that he
is behind terrorism in the North eastern part of the country as well as
the stoning of President Jonathan’s convoy in Kastina and Bauchi
states, because he has never condemned those acts, even though Boko
Haram attacked churches and mosques in his home town. Is Gen. Danjuma
not aware of the peaceful atmosphere when Gen. Buhari visited Delta,
Rivers and Bayelsa (home state of the President) states for
campaign? Why is it that President Jonathan’s convoy was attacked in
Kastina and Bauchi states without any provocation? Who is Gen. Danjuma
if not for the oil wealth he is enjoying from the Niger Delta? He should
be rather arrested for being behind terrorism in the North. Where was
Danjuma when Mallam Ciroma Adamu threatened to make Nigeria
ungovernable, if President Jonathan defeated the All Progressive
Congress Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammedu Buhari? Where was this
so called statesman when the APC campaign Director General (DG), Mr.
Rotimi Ameachi threatened to form a parallel government if President
Jonathan wins the 2015 elections? Where was this hypocrite when Dr.
Junaid Muhammed, Muhammedu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar all said in
separate interviews that the nation will boil if Jonathan won the
election in 2011? Is it the interest of Nigeria Gen. Danjuma is
protecting or his oil bloc in the Niger Delta? Is it the interest of
Nigeria Danjuma is protecting or his 50 million dollars donation to Gen.
Buhari for his campaign? Let Gen. Danjuma and his cohorts know that
they will not see any Ijaw man, the Igbos and others to fight on their
side if the war that they are planning broke up,”.
In a related development, the Ijaw
Youths Council (IYC), also released a statement signed by its
spokesman, Eric Omare yesterday January 29th where they faulted the call
by Gen Danjuma to arrest the Niger Delta ex-militants.
"We
are surprised that General Danjuma swiftly called for the arrest of
Tompolo, Asari and other Niger-Deltans, whereas he has neither condemned
nor called for the arrest of those who have been consistently attacking
the convoy of President Jonathan in the northern part of the country.
General Danjuma’s call is not deserving of an elder statesman who is
supposed to be unbiased rather than his obvious bias against the
Niger-Delta people. Only yesterday, in Gombe State a supporter of
President Jonathan who was pasting his posters was attacked and
seriously brutalised. Why has General Danjuma not condemned this
dastardly act if he is really an elder statement? There
was no time at the meeting the Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Seriake
Dickson, with youth leaders and ex-Niger Delta freedom fighters where it
was resolved that Niger Delta people would destabilise Nigeria, if
President Jonathan fails the February 14, 2015 presidential
election. This did not form part of the resolutions of the meeting,
which were read out by Hon. Kingsley Kuku for Governor Dickson to
transmit to Mr. President. The meeting was called by the Governor of
Bayelsa State, to solicit support for President Jonathan from
Niger-Delta youths and ex-freedom fighters. However, the meeting frowned
at and its dissatisfaction with the persistent attack on the campaign
convoy of President Jonathan in some northern states when General
Buhari, his main opponent, was protected and campaigned freely in the
south during his campaign tour. Hence, the meeting condemned in the
strongest terms the attack on President Jonathan and resolved that
nobody can intimidate President Jonathan out of the presidential race.
At the meeting, all the youth leaders and ex-Niger Delta freedom
fighters resolved to put their grievances aside and agree to work for
the re-election of President Jonathan. Therefore, the report on
ex-militants threatening to destabilise Nigeria in the event of
President Jonathan losing the 2015 election is not part of the
resolution of the meeting. The meeting could not have discussed that as
we are confident that President Jonathan would win the February 14, 2015 presidential
election. We, therefore, call on Nigerians and the security agencies to
disregard the call for arrest of Tompolo, Asari and others, which is
based on a misleading report. The accusation levelled against President
Jonathan by the APC is also unfounded,” the statement said.

With the way they are going - Boko Haram and Niger-Delta militants - they are plotting the country's breakup.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for Nigeria. Hah. This is serious o. But I know God will work out good from this. Nigeria needs to be restructured.
ReplyDeleteDespite all the evil that the north used the SS to commit against the Igbos, I still prefer them to the blood sucking muslim Hausa Fulaniis.
ReplyDeleteMay God help Nigeria. Thankfully the SE is not the one threatening war this time. But if war should start, who will be safe?
ReplyDeletebirds of same feather flocks together. i dont expect anytin less from this people since GEJ is the son of their soil. what will be will be. who ever stirs up war in this nation will use his flesh and that of his family to rekindle the inferno in Jesus Name because i dont know y all this rants. election is a competition btw people who tink they are capable. let every contestant be on the pitch and lets see who scores the ball instead of this nasty treats and over-confidence. All what these guys are saying is the same: Nigeria must be restructured. Do we need another war to tell us that? Why are some Yorubas fighting what the yoruba nation has been cola outing for all this while? Is it because of a token VP position? Who will probably be killed off if Buhari wins the election is won and Buhari will handpick a muslim as VP? What is the blindness that ha scolded the eyes of Yorubas? God please deliver Yoruba land.
ReplyDeleteI jst d pack my bags shaa......

If the SE wants a restructured Nigeria, the SS want the same thing, the Middle belt want the same, the SW want the same and only the core north doesn't, want it, why is anyone then supporting Buhari? As a Yoruba I simply don't get it. The current president is the one who has stated he is committed to implementing the outcome of the last national conference so why support Buhari who wants to maintain the status quo?
ReplyDeleteTwo wrongs can't make a right (APC,PDP)

ReplyDeleteI wish the force binding the ijaws becomes so strong that the international community will be threatened. I am tired of this hausa being in government from day 1. NIGERIA IS NOT THEIR FATHER LANDED PROPERTY OF WHICH THEY HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY TO.
ReplyDeleteI just want to take this forum to plead for any one who truly knows Christ and is not blinded by ethnic hatred to get on their knees and intercede for Nigeria. This election is so critical to the lives of every one of the members of the body of Christ.
ReplyDeleteFight for Gej, go to war for all i care not but please remain in your own village to fight don't get to Agbor. We Need peace. I don't care if Gej or Gmb wins. Gej and his so called PDP did not do anything here (Agbor ) we don't have light. No road. If you want to fight because Gej will not pay you again once he did not win. Better go and fight with boko haram.Foolish criminal. Millitant like you should be in prison.
ReplyDeleteSince GEJ has ruled, is the naija delta now like Dubai or heading towards it. Selfish people. As long as they are making money for themselves, what do they care. Pls break away and form Niger delta republic and see if u guys will progress with warlords like u running the country. Nonsense.
ReplyDeleteThe body of Christ in Nigeria must pray for God's intervention. Only God can deliver our nation Iin this time. Ethnic hatred, bigotry, tribalism will not save anyone if war breaks out.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading/hearing from both sides (parties), it's like Tompolo is now making some sense (to me). It's do me I do you kind of thing. An eye for an eye. Retaliation or reciprocal - whichever vocabulary you find for it.
ReplyDeleteAll these Nigerians and their empty threats sha, chaii! I dey pray make God let GMB win make we see wetin go happen sef.. After all if them divide the country everybody go still win and peace go reign.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I feel sympathies for the Niger Delta. I want Nigeria to be restructured and that is why I will now vote GEJ. Buhari is just committed to maintaining the status quo because all they want is to control the oil. This oil has rendered the core north useless because they are so lazy now.
ReplyDeleteWhy will Nigeria break?? Is Jonathan d owner of Nigeria?? Rubbish agboro's!!

ReplyDeleteNigeria's unity and survival is way beyond Tompolo and his Godfather Goodluck Jonathan. Nigeria will survive if Jonathan wins or losses. I think the idiot should be incarcerated and silenced for good.
ReplyDeleteAnyone abusing these guys is quite ignorant of what can happen to Nigeria. The army is bogged down by Boko Haram and don't need another war in the Niger Delta. And the instability in the Niger Delta will rock the soul of Nigeria's economy. I just pray for God's purpose to stand in Nigeria.

ReplyDeleteI dont get these tompolo and dakubo men... are nigerians supposed to vote jonathan to please you, keep nigeria together according to you and still be suffering or are nigerians supposed to vote someone who can transform Nigeria into a developed country?

ReplyDeleteSo,why are we bothering to vote since asari and tompolo have written the result they want?
ReplyDeleteI'm NIGER DELTAN but a GOD fearing and educated one.southern and northern Nigerians didn't ruin the Niger delta.we ourselves did.our supposed elders and the asaris, tompolos(militants) sold us out. They insisted on collecting money instead of allowing the government and oil companies to develop our lands.
Money that was used in having sex, drugs, guns and acquiring material things for yourselves and your families.I was born in the creeks.thank GOD ,I was able to leave. The truth will shock the world (I am telling it already.soon......)
Sorry I digressed.Libers,if you didn't live in the creeks, please don't judge.this militants and our clan leaders ruined us and they are cowards.silly grown men who will disappear soon as the real result is announced.why are they all now speaking?the hand writing on the wall just got bolder right? They won't fight.even back then, they didn't fight.they pushed us out there to die and be killed while they lazed around with whores.
They have fooled themselves for so long.blinded by greed and too much money given to them that they failed to see that everyone else is suffering including the average Niger deltan.
Let me stop here.GOD help us all.please don't listen to this people.I know what I'm saying.

Danjuma is protecting his oil blocks which its source is from d Niger Delta and Tompolo nd Asari Dokubo nd co. also protecting their oil wells which happens to be in their home soil making it their right as indigenes. now one thing is very eminent nd that is WAR! if GEJ wins B.Haram still lingers and if GMB wins there will be an uproar from d Militants warlords and their cohorts. so Nigeria is on d verge of breaking uP! which is long overdue becos last year d devilish acts that brought d Southern and Northern Protectorates together in 1914 which is Nigeria Expired! so Linda locate ur village while I locate mine if not you will not come back to tell d story on your blog.
ReplyDeletebt I still want to fuck you girl b4 we divide ok...
Iam Christafarai...!!!
Nigeria will not break cos no man born of flesh and blood can break it is you and Asari dat wil break.

Pls be sensible. This is a very delicate issue that if not handled properly will end in millions of lives sacrificed. If you dont have anything to say then keep quiet Anonymous
DeleteAsari,Tompolo, boyloaf and their likes are national threats but oga Jona as usual does not see anything beyond his nose. All that always matters to him are sycophantic songs. These guys should all be taken care of by the Nigerian state. Ordinary idiots like them will wake up everyday & be threatening national security. WTF?
ReplyDeleteOga Jona is truly weak, weak, weak, weak, clueless and lacks leadership characteristics.
Abokis don't know anything and ndi ofenmanu weh be father of all betrayals.
