Africans come for The Economist, after they ask if an insect could be responsible for Africa's underdevelopment

Lol. Some of these people have no sense. The Economist shared a link to a story on its site with the question on whether an insect could be responsible for Africa's underdevelopment. Imagine! Trust Africans, they came in their forces on twitter to slam the site. See some tweets after the cut...

    3. The insect cud be responsible for the "stupidity virus" (which was once shared here in Linda Ikeji). Maybe our "stupidity" is making us underdeveloped.

      Sounds logical. Lol

  26. Lol! So silly! Sadly it's not an insect except insect is being used metaphorically to refer to our greedy leaders who only want to develop their own pockets to the detriment of the people.

    1. You are the most accurate!!!! Let no one say Europe and colonialism did this..how can u say the white man controls ur knowledge yet u can go to top universities overseas and graduate with top grades but when u come back and become leaders, u choose to just enrich urselves and develop nothing. ..only FASHOLA in all of our years of independence I can say has done well, if only others will do same in every state hmmmmm
