David Oyelowo to star with Lupita in Chimamanda Adichie's 'Americanah'

Golden Globe nominated British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo will star with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o in the screen adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie's 'Americanah', this is according to Variety
Based on the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie novel, the story follows a pair of young Nigerian immigrants who face a lifetime of struggle while their relationship endures.
Brad Pitt is producing through his Plan B production banner along with Nyong’o and Andrea Calderwood. The film is now looking to attach a writer and director with no production start date set yet.
Oyelowo has a busy end of the year with “Interstellar,” “Selma” and “A Most Violent Year” all bowing in the last month. He is expected to be in the Oscars conversation for his performance in “Selma,” and can be seen next in the indie “Captive” opposite Kate Mara. (Variety.com)

10 pilots now going production and generally spreading
BlackBerry good will, I would be very appreciative of the flagship
passport to be in my collection. Not only does my family use
BlackBerrys because of me, I directly support BlackBerry in major
regulated markets. I need to show off the exquisite passport! PS: I need an upgrade for my BlackBerry Curve

  13. Linda, go to Stella Dimoko's blog and take a look at how she did her own giveaway. She made it in such a way that ONLY regular commenters on her blog will benefit and that's just how it should be. Bt this ur own, 90% of the Pple u're dashing money to only appeared here this month. I'm tempted 2 believe u Dnt really Care about ur regular LIBERS sef, only ur 2 favorites (who we all know). U jst post ur giveaways to generate traffic and at the end of d day, u Dnt really give a fuck even if a total stranger who was celebrating on twitter when AYEDEE shut down ur blog gets the money. I'm sure I'm nt d only one who feels like dis. U may nt even read dis, bt jst saying sha.

  83. Chimamanda Adichie... I hope you read this. They spoilt your Half of a Yellow Sun movie. Don't let them do same with Americannah. Lupita doesn't fit the description of Ifem. She was very beautiful. American media has given this useless perception that beautiful African women look like lupita. We have Genevieve. Biko... Stop this. And they should use a more popular actor than the david guy. The book is too good to be damaged again. Pls let Nigerians take center stage. Not just some supporting roles. Who knows? If our actors do well, they could get the same exposure that lupita is now getting.

But how can Lupita act Ifemelu's role because we all know that she got not boobs, and Ifemelu has it in quantum.. just thinking aloud.. way to go Lupita...
