Gunmen reportedly attack Secondary school in Niger State

I guess their targets are now schools. A week after a suicide bomber killed about 49 students at Govt Science Secondary school in Yobe state, gunmen attacked Limawa primary and secondary schools, Minna, Niger state this morning at about 10.30am, injuring many students.

According to an eye witness, the attackers shot sporadically in the air before using their machetes to inflict injuries on some students. It is not yet clear if they killed anyone but several students have been rushed to the hospital.

The Niger state Police command spokesperson DSP Ibrahim Gambari, who confirmed the incident, said the police are there now and normalcy has since been returned to the area.

  27. This is the best time 4 Nigeria to divide let us go our separate ways
So we would knw if it's war or this faceless dogs want
Killing innocent children all in the name of what...
We should divide so they can kill them selves in peace
    So buhari can rule
Atiku can also rule the north
    Tinubu would rule the south
At least we can all live in peace this level of terrorism is outrageous and to top everything up GEJ is clueless the only thing he knws is to stay in office 4 10years
A good man would even step down so dis so called northern leaders can rule and call off this boko haram

  33. Failed government!
Let me explain to you guys why every reasonable person blames the federal government. Look, challenging times are the best times to become strong cos in those periods, you learn your failures and weaknesses & you go back to the drawing board & restructure yourself.

The federal government is the one that oversees all security outfits in this country & in the past close to 6 years,it's the same failed methods that we've been using to "tackle" insecurity. Our government thinks that security is simply about having security agents around carrying guns. That's false. Security is supposed to be a network of several things rolled up in one to protect citizens and a country. The armed agents are just supposed to be secondary in this whole security setup. When the primary network is threatened, then the secondary part (the security agents) come in to get the threats.
It's like having a house with window & door spaces but no doors & no Windows, then having armed men to protect that house. No matter what you do,THAT HOUSE WILL NEVER BE SAFE.
Our government needs to review the operations of the police & internal security agents first, build a database of citizens, build networks of crime-control apparatuses around the country, set up cameras, all-round-the-clock intelligence operations etc etc & then the military comes in as the secondary apparatus when the whole primary setup(which should be very strong) is threatened.
This federal government is just there clueless as shit.
