Photos: Alimodu Sheriff breaks down as he tries to dissociate self from Boko Haram

Former Borno state governor Alimodu Sheriff broke down in tears during a press conference in Abuja yesterday as he tried to dissociate himself from Boko Haram. He'd been accused by Australian negotiator Stephen Davis of being a major sponsor of the sect. He vehemently denied this at the press conference

  10. The Nigerian military should not arrest him, instead they should secretly investigate the matter (check how the money in his bank account moves). A Nigerian/black man cannot just make false acquisitions on a white man to his country and anyone would take him serious. This Australian guy may be following his own or his countries interest or he was meant to say Senator Yerima (one of the former governors of Borno that married an underaged Egyptian girl and tried to make underaged marriage Legal in Naija), or Boko Haram actually told him lies in order to get innocent people in trouble.

  11. I WILL CONTINUE TO SAY IT THAT AT THIS STAGE, IT IS IRRELEVANT IF YOU SUPPORT BOKO HARAM OR NOT. IF YOU DO SUPPORT THEM, THEN YOU ARE A PROBLEM ALBEIT A LESSER PROBLEM TO THE GREATER PROBLEM WHICH IS ISLAM. ISLAM IS THE FOUNDER AND SUPPORTER OF BOKO HARAM. SO INSTEAD OF CRYING, RENOUNCE THAT SATANIC RELIGION AND CONVERT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION JUST LIKE THE SON OF THE EMIR OF KANO CONVERTED FROM ISLAM TO CHRISTIANITY. YES THEY WILL TRY TO KILL YOU IF YOU CONVERT, JUST AS THEY TRIED TO KILL THE EMIR's SON AFTER HE CONVERTED BUT IF YOU TRUST GOD, YOU WILL ESCAPE THESE BLOOD THIRSTY AND HUMAN FLESH HUNGRY TERRORISTS JUST AS THE EMIR's SON ESCAPED.

    2. Thank you for your comment. The holy book of Islam supports and advocates for the principles of boko haram. Those that say they are anti Islam have not really studied Islam. The religion is too violent and anti peace to those who do not believe as they do.

  160. Ain't buying his crocodile tears. This man has been accused way before the Australian negotiator mentioned his name. His hands are definitely not clean! And hey, I read somewhere that he said there are over 10,000 BH guys around in the country now. How in the world does he know that if he is not one of their employers who pays their salaries?

  161. I dont know why his cry keeps reminding of Patience Jonathan's cry..."there is God oo"

  162. Is this the latest gimmick for top Nigerian politicians? To start crying in public???
    I am not moved.

  163. This is crocodile tears. The incoherent way Sheriff was reading his prepared speech shows something is fishy. It is set time for the President to mandate the SSS & DIA to carry out thorough investigation on Sheriff's relationship with Yusuf, the ab initio leader of Boko Haram that was killed by the Nigeria Police. Moreso, the president has severally stated that sponsors of Boko Haram are within.

  167. For me to believe he's innocent, he shld go and plan with the boko boys to assassinate him, and he will die in the assassination. The police will identify his corpse and pictures of it shown to the media for authencity of the person. Then and after then, I may believe, but chances are 50/50 that I will be convinced.

  169. See his wristwatch it can feed two northern States for a yr

  170. He is only shedding crocodile tears, he knows that his days are numbered and that he is being cornered. He should be investigated thoroughly and if found guilty killed without mercy as those Boko Haram are doing. They should check is account and how he is spending his money, through this he will be exposed and he will mention others
In fact all those northern governors and senators and house of reps should be investigated. I just pray that that our go slow president will have the gut to probe them else, those bokos will collect all norther states and come down here too in front of that puppet of a president

  172. I just don't know how some of us have eyes and yet can't see PDP are the problems of this country and that Jonathan is inclusive. Yet some people still want to go ahead to vote him in again. He might be a saint before becoming president but now he is no more. PDP have corrupted him.
If that negotiator mention an APC member, I know that that person will be cooling his feet in prison the second day.

  174. ...and by God's grace, if they see that he is one of the sponsors of boko Haram and PDP thwarted the truth, may the wrath of God descend on them and there family and the blood of innocent people that those devils have killed be upon them and their family. AMEN!

  175. Hmm,

I doubt that his being honest. I strongly feel this is all a show to gain Nigeria's sympathy, which no other sane country would ever afford.

This man needs to be thoroughly/completely investigated and scrutinized by an autonomous international body, he must be cleared all the way to his pet. This subject in Question has brought the world to tears and requires by all means some lead way, to be put to an end.

The only thing is i pray Our "dear Government" finds it in their hearts to not treat this matter as the world would easily predict that they would. And give the our bleeding nation some healing break-through.

May this not end in story story.
