Oshine Resources Ventures Limited before a Federal High Court sitting

by officers of the Nigerian Navy for fishing in Nigerian territorial
waters without getting authorized approval thereby
violating Sections 1(1)(2) of the Seas Fishery Act Cap S4, 2004.
The presiding Judge, Justice Ibrahim Buba granted them bail in the sum of N10 million each with one surety in like sum each, who is to produce two recent passport photographs. They were remanded at the Ikoyi prisons pending when they meet their bail conditions.

ReplyDeleteAm sure it's not 10million dey meant. Maybe 10k. Wich fisherman wud bring out 10million. And him dey do fisherman. No be onle.
ReplyDeleteThis is pure nonsense.. EFCC trying fishermen for fishing in unauthorized waters? This is ludicrous. Instead of them going after the looting Government officials, they are arresting fishermen trying to earn a living. Shame on them. As far as i'm concerned EFCC doesnt exist under this administration. Lamorde's EFCC is a toothless bull dog
ReplyDeleteOri won ko pe rara, awon a fi ote sile pa lapalapa. M out.

ReplyDeleteImagine , is this how jobless EFCC is ???
ReplyDeleteFIRST TO COMMMENT***(GURU) We have heard...
ReplyDeleteCan you just imagine the kind of things that happen in Nigeria some times. Imagine EFCC to arrest fishermen claiming they were not fishing in unauthorized zone. Can this commission called EFCC do their appropriate work? It is only in this country that Political Armed robbers will do their dirty business but this useless commission will not question them. Just where the poor masses are is where they exhibit their their senseless authority rather than looking into $9.3 million dollar deal with a CAN private jet. In fact, where did this man get money for his private jet? What about the 7 billion in the CBN's president account, what have they done about other unbelievable issues? Look at the fools arresting fishermen, LOL, Nigeria
ReplyDeletePure madness! What's with EFCC of late? Bail N10m! Naija???
ReplyDeleteBut wait a minute! wat has EFCC got to do wit unauthorized fishing, are dey trying to undermine the maritime force incharge of issues like dis. #thinking
ReplyDelete*JUST SAYING*
EFCC! Their rule of law only applies to common citizens, not to anybody in government.

ReplyDelete10million naira???but when our politician are charged with grave criminal offense their bail bond is always ridiculous.judiciary I hail unaa
ReplyDeleteOne can now conclude that the EFCC have gone nut. Have the law establishing the EFCC been amended to d extent that it now covers the arraignment of persons violating or tresspassing in Nigeria's territorial waters? For God's sake, where are the Nigerian Navy? Does it mean that all the embezzlements and syphoning of public funds going are no longer within the powers of EFCC to prosecute persons as we saw in d days of Uncle Nuhu Rhibadu? I weep for this country. Look at the treatment that awaits a poor man who has choosen to work hard legally to sustain life. Hmmm I think this is the height of the ongoing madness under the rulership of Ebele.
ReplyDeleteGet real busy boys (EFCC), ds is nt wat u wer paid to luk into.. Rascals!
ReplyDeleteEFCC are so STUPID for arraigning this men... instead of focusing on the real political thieves in Nigeria! God punish EFCC
ReplyDeleteJobless EFCC. linda report this stories make them popular please ignore them
ReplyDeleteAS LONG AS THEY WHERE ONLY FISHING, I DON'T SEE WHAT THE ARREST WAS ALL ABOUT.
ReplyDeleteThis EFCC has deviated from his primary mandate to what doesn't make any sense, they are now as useless as federal govt task force in Berger. If those fishermen had carried gun to rob or dupe people, we won't say anything but for arresting them for fishing in this country whose leaders have succeeded in impoverishing her own citizen, average class are no where to be find, now, fishing to survive now become a problem again. Na wah for all these Idiot EFCC o
ReplyDeleteLmao.......Did I just read #10million for bail....smh the judge would have told them he does not want them bailed yet. How are they gonna get the money? ......lol
ReplyDeleteHow do u expect a poor fisherman to have N10m to bail himself. What's really wrong with Nigeria sef. But some corrupt politician would embezzle N1billion and they would be granted bail with N400k.
ReplyDeleteNa wa oooo!!!
10 million! For what now!
