Amazing pics: The best 1st Class airline seats in the world revealed

Travel website Flightfox just released a comprehensive list of the 24 best First Class in-flight cabins from around the world...and boy oh boy, what a way to travel. To produce the list, the website took into account everything from seat configuration, aisle access, suite privacy, type of champagne served etc.

Emirates Airline is known to have one of the best First Class seats in the world but Etihad recently launched a new First Class luxury suite named 'The Residence', and what luxury it is. See photos of the best First Class airline seats after the cut...

First place went to Singapore Airlines for its luxurious first class cabins

1st place: a guest of Singapore Airlines inspects a double bed in a first class suite on an Airbus A380.

2nd place: Cathay Pacific cabin crew will serve you Krug Grand Cuvée champagne, provide pyjamas to sleep in and cook your eggs just how you like them
1th place: Japan Airlines (JAL) gives its customers caviar but only scored three stars in the 'rock star' category factor
3rd place: Emirates provide an onflight bar, pyjamas, limousine and Dom Pérignon champagne to its premier passengers

5th place: first class with Lufthansa is expensive - a ticket can cost £3,409 - but they scored five stars for maximum leg room and seat comfort
It's the little details that make the difference. A place to hang your suit and a new issue of of Vogue awaits on Lufthansa, who ranked forth overall
16th place: Swiss International Airlines
6th place: Oman Air 's champagne of choice is Taittinger Comtes and your seat comes in a rather fetching turquoise and brown finish
17th place: private chef? Tick. Caviar? Tick. Billecart Salmon Brut Rose champagne? Tick. Garuda Indonesia's first class booths are compact but luxurious
18th place. Korean Air's Kosmo suite serves Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rose 1998 champagne and scored three stars for food and wine
22nd place: British Airways. They did well on food and serve an a la carte menu followed by a cheese board and fine chocolate.
23rd place: American Airlines
Japan Airlines first class sleeping pod as viewed from above which allows you privacy while you sleep. They came 11th in the survey.
12th place: Air France was awarded four stars for its seating and but just three stars for its food and wine and will bring you Taittinger Comtes champagne
American Airline's first class offering was ranked in 23rd place in the survey

  73. Those airline operators are cheats. They charge Nigerians high, even higher than other countries at times but they bring the rickety ones among their fleet to Nigeria. U won't believe the dirty old flight that Emirates brought to Abuja on 1st of August 2014, which was their inaugural (first time) flight to Abuja. I was even jealous that I couldn't make the trip bcos I thought it would be special, being their first time in Abuja. Thank God I didn't go! My husband bought a business class ticket and flew from Jeddah, which was just roughly 2hours to Dubai and 7hrs from Dubai to Abuja. He said the 2hr flight from Jeddah to Dubai compared with the long 7hr flight from Dubai to Abuja was like comparing a palace to a prison, in terms of the flight, the food and everything else! He said he was surprised that Emirates even have a flight that old among its fleet. The flights that those people bring to Africa, they can't dare take such flights to US, Europe and other well to do countries! Shame on our leaders for allowing such fraud

    1. My dear it's true talk. I flew emirate biz class from lagos to dubai. It wasn't dat fantastic. But the flight from dubai to london was fantastic. Dat means they can never bring their best flights to nigeria. It's disheartening
