  22. Gosh!!!! this is scary. Just yesterday, they said there were 50 people who may have had direct or indirect contact with those who have been confirmed to have the virus now this list has expanded to 130 something. Pray tell, where are all these people who are under "surveillance?" Are they still roaming around freely or quarantined?

  29. These two new cases were they part of the initially group that they were monitoring, because FG said the cases so far are the victims directly in contact with Patrick sawyer and if not how did these two people infected

    I remember when my uncle had chicken pox he did not go to work and isolated himself for 2 weeks. RIP Patrick tho u dealt wickedly with nigerians.

    2. Mr or mrs My turn,pls stop d blame thing and pray for d nation. Don't use the same mouth u use in cursing ur president to pray. Learn to respect those in the authority its in d bible. This is the time we all come together and fight this off our shore. All hands must be on deck. This ebola can find itself to any country even d US if measures to contain it are not taken on time. Do u know d flight d liberian man took wasn't direct flight to nigeria. It transited in togo before coming here, so a carrier can sneak to any of this neighboring country that has not been reported of any ebola case and from there travel to the US or any other country. This is a global treat, which needs urgency, so people should not be crying over spit milk. Let's fight it with one mind. God bless Nigeria.

  48. Please enough with the surveillance, just pack all 132 persons and isolate them Biko. It's because of "surveillance" that Patrick sawyer was able to board a plane and come here. The minute you suspect someone has come in contact with an infected person, just grab him/her and quarantine until the 21days are over..... Surveillance isn't the best preventative measure, quarantine and isolation are.

  67. Please someone should educate my ignorance. Experts told us that bats, monkey,gorrila, chimpanzee and all bush meat are carriers of the Ebola virus. If the virus emerged from the so called listed bush animals, why wait this long before the outbreak? Of course these animals has been in existence for ages, and we've always had them for food. Well, am not an expert, just trying to think outside the box. I believe there's something they are not telling us. Another method to show superiority over the African populace..~~da dude( Duko)

  72. Honestly, this has become a serious emergency unfortunately. Lagos must declare a state of emergency. all of us should stay in our houses for 3 weeks until all the suspected contacts are confirmed infected or not. lagos is too populous and too unhygenic for us to do otherwise. we need to contain this. we cant be too careful. as for patrick sawyer and the liberian immigration plus the airline that flew a visibly sick passenger from a country going through an epidemic. i dont know what to say. This is totally preventable and unfair. Nigerians are going through enough alreaady

    The manner in which the Ebola virus first appears in a human at the start of an outbreak has not been
    determined. However, Ebola VD could be spread through the following:

    6. Inhalation of contaminated air in hospital environment;
    7. Use of infected non human primate/bats as food source;
    8. Non implementation of universal precautions.
    What are the symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease?

    5. Health workers in hospital settings with poor basic hygiene and sanitation practices;
