Dulux Let’sColourNigeria Project, CAP Plc to give Gbagada General Hospital new look

The Let’s Colour campaign is a global project launched in 2010 by AkzoNobel, the world’s largest coatings manufacturer, and is aimed at adding colours to people’s lives.  This community based project  has been executed in several countries: Canada, Brazil, Spain, South Africa, Tunisia amongst others.

In 2012,  CAP Plc, technological licensee of  AkzoNobel in Nigeria and  subsidiary of UACN Plc  joined this colourful global movement with its premium brand of paints, Dulux, by activating the  Let’s Colour Nigeria Project at the Red Cross Orphanage, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos. Continue...

The Let’s Colour Nigeria project returns this year and  it will be taking place at the Gbagada General Hospital. The theme for this year’s project is  #BecauseColoursHeal and it involves participants  taking up brushes and rollers to paint the hospital, cheering patients back to health and putting smiles on faces.

The activation will specifically be the repainting of an old block of the hospital which houses the following Units: Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, Accident and Emergency Clinic, Urology Clinic , Eye Clinic, General Outpatient Clinic amongst others.

The event which promises to be a fanfare of colours and excitement will be spiced up  with the presence of  ace On Air Personality, Dan Foster and will also have in attendance senior management of the UACN group, executive members of professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Architects, Nigerian Institute of Building, Interior Design Association of Nigeria and other special guests.

Some of the exciting colours that will be used for the makeover are Dulux recommended colours for hospitals such as Ochre White, Timeless, York White, Frosted Grape, Javelin and  Green Clay. In addition, CAP plc will be exhibiting its commitment to sustainability by using its environmentally friendly paint – Dulux Trade Ecosure amongst other Dulux product lines.

The event will take place on the 14th of August, 2014.
