The Let’s Colour campaign is a global project launched in 2010 by AkzoNobel, the world’s largest coatings manufacturer, and is aimed at adding colours to people’s lives. This community based project has been executed in several countries: Canada, Brazil, Spain, South Africa, Tunisia amongst others.
In 2012, CAP Plc, technological licensee of AkzoNobel in Nigeria and subsidiary of UACN Plc joined this colourful global movement with its premium brand of paints, Dulux, by activating the Let’s Colour Nigeria Project at the Red Cross Orphanage, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos. Continue...
The Let’s Colour Nigeria project returns this year and it
will be taking place at the Gbagada General Hospital. The theme for this
year’s project is #BecauseColoursHeal and it involves participants
taking up brushes and rollers to paint the hospital, cheering patients
back to health and putting smiles on faces.
The activation will specifically be the repainting of an
old block of the hospital which houses the following Units: Ear, Nose
and Throat Clinic, Accident and Emergency Clinic, Urology Clinic , Eye
Clinic, General Outpatient Clinic amongst others.
The event which promises to be a fanfare of colours and
excitement will be spiced up with the presence of ace On Air
Personality, Dan Foster and will also have in attendance senior
management of the UACN group, executive members of professional bodies
such as Nigerian Institute of Architects, Nigerian Institute of
Building, Interior Design Association of Nigeria and other special
guests.
Some of the exciting colours that will be used for the
makeover are Dulux recommended colours for hospitals such as Ochre
White, Timeless, York White, Frosted Grape, Javelin and Green Clay. In
addition, CAP plc will be exhibiting its commitment to sustainability by
using its environmentally friendly paint – Dulux Trade Ecosure amongst
other Dulux product lines.
The event will take place on the 14th of August, 2014.
