Photo: Police avert another bomb blast in Kano

The Police in Kano state this morning July 27th averted what could have been another fatal bomb blast in the ancient city. Police operatives averted the calamity after discovering a Peugeot 406 car with registration number AA 513 ZAK, loaded with explosives at the mosque of Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu at Goron Dutse. Bomb experts neutralized the explosives immediately and no casualty was recorded.

The Kano state commissioner of police, Mr. Aderenle Shinaba has confirmed the reports

      It's only in mosques that the bombs are neutralized b4 dey go off, why none has EVER been neutralized in churches remains a big mystery!! Why d ones planted in churches always kills thousands of innocent Christians is a mystery. All dis talk of bombs being neutralized in mosques is a hoax and just stupid propaganda to get the churches to relax and let their guards down.

      It's a big scam. The last one averted was discovered by a 10 year old. He conveniently ran to inform the police and not his parents. One day, the bomb will go off unplanned and they will stop this nonsense.

    I don't trust the Nigerian Police. Could this be a public relations activity? How are we sure that this is not a publicity stunt to boost the image of the alleged "police service" in Nigeria? How are we sure that the alleged Nigerian "police service" did not set up this pr stunt to make it seem like they are useful and detecting crimes? Nigerian Police are clueless, useless, inept, incompetent and very corrupt. Nigerian Police are busy extorting motorists, taking backhanders and not focused on solving crimes or catching real criminals. Right now, Boys Scouts, Girls Guides and vigilantes are more effective than the alleged Nigeria Police Force. Y'all need to start earning your wages. Stop faffing about. Stop feckin' around.
