I thought he would report me especially as he was toasting my friend. but 'shame' I think no let am. He never came in2 our room again .

The military is trained to protect and defend the territorial integrity of a nation from external aggressors and not meddle in internal security operations. But years of military and civil misrule in Nigeria has misplaced this role. The military now does menial internal operations such as cargo escort, ADCs to non-uniformed citizens, traffic control, resolution of civil disputes, and the list is endless. All these put together has only served to cheapen them and diminish whatever respect the civilian population reserved for them. After all, familiarity begets contempt. Even so, these guys are trained to be violent and aggressive (but to the enemy) and as such, it is hardly possible to make them less so. Ours is a direct opposite of a functional system so wisdom demands that you mind your dealings with these men in khaki else they will maim you and have no one ask why. @Alibaba, use your head well ooo.
