Stephen Keshi blasts Nigerian fans for insulting him and his family

According to a Vanguard reporter who spoke with Stephen Keshi in Brazil, the Super Eagles coach is angry at Nigerian fans for abusing him over the team's performance at the on-going World Cup in Brazil. Keshi said there was absolutely no justification for fans to insult him and his family.
"It’s a shame, just a shame that we keep doing the same thing and then they come back and they say they are sorry. Sorry for abusing my mum? Sorry for abusing my siblings? For what? That I am representing Nigeria?”
"I am disappointed, totally disappointed (by the personal attacks), but it’s their thing, no wahala (no problem).
Keshi also lambasted his fellow former football stars who have criticized his team and his tactics in Brazil, saying he had expected much better from them as they ought to know better about the game than the man on the street..

Thank you Jare! Don't mind them! Thats why a lot of other Africans don't respect us. We are loud and pompous but our actions say otherwise. Beverly from BBA was crucified for bathing naked with Angelo, yet Dillish bathed naked numerous times with Melvin, while having a boyfriend outside of the house yet Nigerians still praise her as Miss Perfect. Another incident is in 2011 when Linda posted a story of a European man (correct me if I'm wrong) that said Nigerian women are the most beautiful African women. Instead of them to take the compliment and feel good about themselves, they started going on and on about why Nigerian women aren't that attractive, and how x, y, z country has better looking women (particularly countries with women of light complexion and softer hair). THIS IS COMING FROM NIGERIAN WOMEN! Even if the country in question was Congo or Ivory Coast, do you think they'd make the same stupid comments Nigerian women were making by putting themselves down? We suffer deeply from this "hate our own, and worship outsiders" mentality. It's deep-rooted low self esteem nonetheless.

    2. Am sorry nd with due respect to all . Nigerians are so abusive esp the younger generation btw the ages of 17 nd 25! I don't really blame them cos it's due to things happening arround them.
In Nigeria thieves nd thugs are celebrated and with the new development of trying to be Oyinbo by force I don't expect any better. Look at how they celebrate Chris Brown in Nigeria! We don't appreciate our very own nd that is a big issue. Sorry Steve

  42. There are 2 things I'm always careful about before lending my opinion in Nigeria. These things are , football and politics not because of anything just because of the role played, these are the major factors that unite the country and they are the some of the sectors that are not well managed and annexed. In a situation where competent and reliable hands are not given chance, we would continue to run around the same circle thinking we are progressing..
The coach should take heart and feel the heart of Nigerians because football is the only means where tribalism and ethnicities are thrown into garbage and national unity is embraced, so when expectations of the citizen are not met they are bound to vent their anger on somebody.
I believe this would have been directed to Nigeria football authority who traveled to the Mundial with the second largest government delegate among the participating countries at the world cup. I wasn't told rather I listen to it in the news here in New York, that as powerful as U.S. Is, it was only 3 government representatives that represented U.S., SO, the all these attack on Stephen keshi should be directed.

  65. Nigerians are so rude and it is not fair for a man who has achieved major honours for us like the Nations Cup. I think this is what comes with the territory of being successful and I hope that Keshi can take this lightly and move on.

  69. Please Nigerians, let's learn to praise people's efforts than condemn them. What you say about people shows who you are. Change your mindset and let this country change for the better.
Those who criticise at all times are really known as the empty vessels that makes the most noise. such people cannot do anything for themselves not to talk for others nor their country. Who Are You???

  72. A strong technical performance would be needed against France next monday:
Plus all efforts, the middle field defence must be tough..... the attack should unleash hell against France and get a comfortable goal imagine... If the super Eagles win monday match... then bet it= The SKY would be their limit!
