Here's what the Lagos-Benin-Ore road looks like currently. This road used to be a death trap. So good that this government made it a priority...but no need for too much praise...lol...This is what they are supposed to do in the first place. See what Ibadan-Ilorin road looks like now after the cut...
Ibadan - ilorin is not completed!
ReplyDeleteLagos to Ore hasn't been don, it just after ore to Benin that has been don, they should stop showing us pics of uncompleted projects Jor make dem finish am first.

After people will say GEJ isn't working. Yes that is what they are supposed to do, but how many presidents have we had? Atleast he did it. When someone does well recognise it. #GEJ #transformation #TAN
ReplyDeleteTHANKS AND GODBLESS YOU FOR THIS. If put in power, I wonder how many of these critics will actually do the right thing. If you people like don't vote for him next year, it is to the detriment of this country, not him. Atleast we see he is active.
DeleteNo street lights on this highway..? Huh
ReplyDeleteVillage man, why you go put street lights for highway?
DeleteAre u kidding me? Thank God for govt o! If only all roads in Nigeria are like, they would b lesser rd accident and faster trip to any part of the country..

Yet they say GEJ isnt working. GEJ till 2019.
ReplyDeletethis is IBADAN-OYO road...this does not go all the way to ILORIN...it ends in OYO.
ReplyDeletewe need street lights
ReplyDeletethis GEJ is so clueless, why is he fixing all the roads. he should have left it like that for people to continue dying. up APC
ReplyDeleteDid he spoil it in the first place? Abi it's been like tht for God can remember how long. If you want, he can leave the one closest to you undone so you and your people can 'die' up
DeleteThank God ooooo.
ReplyDeleteNice one.Things are getting better
ReplyDeleteNice one.Things are getting better

ReplyDeleteWell, for me it's a good one. Would never forget my experience on Benin-Ore road as a youth Corp member in 2009. I spent more than 9 hours trapped in traffic on the road while travelling from Anambra to write Nigerian Breweries aptitude test. Kudos to FG for this!
ReplyDeleteWooooooooooow. . Kudos to Gej.. linda evn enugu onitsha express way is nw good.. no more traffic in osha oo..

ReplyDeleteThanks 2 Julius Berger
ReplyDeleteIt could still be a death trap cos our driver would choose to reach d last value on their speedometer. We need to change our driving attitude
ReplyDeleteWow! Great!
ReplyDeleteStreet lights on the highway? how dumb are you tho? SMH
ReplyDeleteLol.. same thing I thought.

ReplyDeleteWe will need a clip, not just a pic, to know the true state of the road.
ReplyDeleteThis people should stop showing us the nice place they have been able to fix bcos from Lagos to Ore is still in bad shape
ReplyDeleteWho ever post this article is a liar from hell...
ReplyDeleteLinda are you kidding me??? Which ibadan ilorin road are you talking about? Maybe ibadan oyo road....cos oyo to ilorin is still a narrow road dats a death trap in ur words....
ReplyDeleteDis ibadan - ilorin is a joke or yoke like a calabar man, it is only ibadan to oyo dat is ok but oyo to ogbomoso is still a death trap and work has stopped dere since. Pls help us tell dem to mobilize d contractor or ordered dem if dem don collect money to finish it. Ogbomoso to ilorin has been completed too dnt forget d contract was awarded under obasanjo regime ooo
ReplyDeleteDey dere dey wait for stret light...appreciate what you have...

ReplyDeleteWow, I travelled this road so many times in the 90s and up until 2008, and the accidents on that road were so frequent and frightening. I pray GEJ and subsequent governments will maintain this road and others. Building is good, maintenance is also key. Welldone President GEJ
ReplyDeletelinda, try and be posting honest comments.
ReplyDeleteWE DONE GET LIGHT FINISH FOR OUR HOMES..
ReplyDeleteI can see why ur family is so poor, because u don't appreciate good things! Wake up
ReplyDeleteHmm, campaign things, 2015 runs
ReplyDeleteI am sick and tired of your hypocrisy. You were the same person that has been complaining about how this road has been a death trap. This administration did something about it after so many years and you water down the achievement with some bullshit about its what they are suppose to do anyway. Accept it this man has done more than all those mother fuckers that have ruled this country.
ReplyDeleteGod will multiply ur blessings.good and honest people like you shldn't be anonymous.Linda is so pissing me off with her biased reporting! OBJ awarded Lagos Ibadan EW repairs to Bicourtey on a padi padi level, yrs down d line,no visible sign of improvement, this Gvt did the noble thing by revoking the contract and reawarding same to two reputable firms who are seriously working nw,Linda and her Aggrieved Political Criminals APC didn't find it worthy of note.yeye dey smell.
DeleteThen they put streetlight for highways....u no get headlamps.....when they never give you light for house they Wan give you light for highway
ReplyDelete........besides as proof..there are no street light on america's highways..olofo
it will be fixed later. I guess it was captured in the 2015 budget as it is a different contract and will involve breaking the road to fix the light ;].
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS GEJ..2015 ALL D WAY
ReplyDeleteLinda I like your last word..no need praise thats what they suppose do...we prasie the at times as if the do wonders forgetting that's why we vote them
ReplyDeleteYes! All hater should locate the nearest transformer and give it a hug. This is just the beginning of reaping the dividends of democracy. Very soon electricity fluctuation will be a thing of the past. Support GEJ transformation agenda! Long live Niger! Long live GEJ! Best presidor ever!
ReplyDeleteNext, reliable road safety to enforce speed limits and sobriety? This will drastically reduce fatal accidents.
ReplyDeleteIdiot u no even thank Baba God say u see dis kind Road for Dis niga
ReplyDeleteThat's a very insightful comment. They need to flood the roads with street lights and also make it neat, I never understand why they never do things to the end. Neaten it and plant flowers, the appearance is also part of the job.
ReplyDeleteGood Job...now street light and security!!
ReplyDelete@anonymous9:02, you called it street light and you want to have it on the highway? Be happy with what you have
ReplyDeletebig lie.... how sensible is it to have 2 lines for interstate road. is this same from rccg camp to magoro... who u fooling
ReplyDeleteLinda, how much did they pay you to post this, that is not Lagos-Benin Road ,Lagos road is still bad,who is deceiving who
ReplyDeleteSo when Is the street lights coming? Or contractor don chop d money ni? Stl a death trap at night if no streetlights pls Nd also robbers den
ReplyDeleteDo not, I repeat do not be fooled by this picture. The stretch from Lagos to Ore, The Ogun State stretch, where our open letter writing ex-present hails from, is still a death trap. Motorist to this day have to drive on the on-coming traffic part of the road. It is HELL travelling through that road. I have been on the road recently and Linda till you get the full details and pictures do not join our scheming politicians in fooling Nigerians. In my opinion it is better there is no road there than the torture that I have to go through whenever I ply that route.
ReplyDeleteStreet lights are necessary on parts of the highway that are close to residential areas, otherwise it is not necessary. You cannot put street lights on a no-man's land in the middle of nowhere. If that pic is real, then that's a relief. I would have loved more lanes (3 or 4 lanes) in both direction.
ReplyDeleteHighly commendable indeed - given that these "death trap" roads have been there through several military regimes and civilian administrations before the president with GOODLUCK came along. Kudos to GEJ.
ReplyDeleteD most important thing is dat they ve started doing some thing....glory be 2 God
ReplyDeleteMchewww!empty barrel make noise.these present administration is full of noise without any reasonable achievement.fools
ReplyDeleteGood question! Ask anodr one....
ReplyDeletend some people will be talking rubish. d road dat obj could not repay in all d 8 years he spent in d office.linda u need to com see wat onitsha upper iweka looks lik too. Gej all the way! u will be there if the north like make them finish themselves with boko datz der business. ndi ara
ReplyDeleteGEJ is working. Lets all support him in 2015 and am sure Nigeria will be better.
ReplyDeleteGEJ is working. Lets all support him in 2015 and am sure Nigeria will be better.
ReplyDeleteGreat work. The last time I passed that Ore road, they were really carrying out fantastic work. Thank God it's completed now.
ReplyDeleteKudos to GEJ joor. Now some bad Belle people will say he's not working.
ReplyDeleteMr President ride on. We that are with you are so much more than those against you.
Haba a step at a time street lights you shld be happy for the road first
ReplyDeleteHave u seen d death traps btw oyo to Ogbomoso
ReplyDeleteWhen will our roads begin to ave street lights?
ReplyDeleteOkikiola
Thank God....this road has been fixed. Though would have expected that they would have made it a major highway road with at least 4 lanes on both sides like in developed countries. Well......
ReplyDeleteThis is death trap. ..no light and no finishing touch?. ...HUH
ReplyDeleteStreet lights will be a separate money making project
ReplyDeletethis bullshit got no street lights on a high way like this unfinished project political scam nigerians need to wise up we have all been blind folded by this call leaders
ReplyDeleteHighways don't have street lights
DeleteNigeria go better
ReplyDeleteNa wah for you Linda, this is part of the road, the road is like this just after Ore to Benin, but from lagos to Ore which is still about 180KMs is still a death trap, please publicize accurate news, please. And I will not praise a government for doing the very thing they were elected to do, it is not a favor, it is a right. Finally we need to ask the government how the intend implementing a sustainable framework for road maintenance. We don't want a situation where the road dilapidates due to lack of maintenance. Cheers
ReplyDeleteInterstate highways generally tend not to have lights. Anywhere in the world.
ReplyDeletesome ppl shld know d way dey talk, cant we be appreciative atimes,we shld commend dem for d ones dey have done so dey can do more.at least i've travelled on dat road twice dis year d accident have drastically reduced
ReplyDeleteWill they be maintained? Why can't we have more highways with more than 2 lanes? Oh well
ReplyDeleteThe government is working oh!
ReplyDeletegood to know
ReplyDeletegood road
BORN TO SHINE!!!
Credit to time but time fact is also needed
ReplyDeleteDont know why many of us can never appreciate anything good.I believe that all these people here talking about street lights and flowers never saw this road when it was bad or for how long it has been bad and how many thousands of Nigerian shave dies on this road.OBJ and others could not do it..GEJ did it now and u guys are talking about street lights.
ReplyDeleteMy first time to comment here on LIB. Ibadan-Ilorin road was approved and constructed by OBJ. I was surprised last 2 week I traveled to Ilorin and I saw sure-p board. Any TV or Radio station can request for more inform from OBJ about Ibadan-Ilorin road. I am not a politician but GEJ must not take other people's glory if he need my vote in 2015. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest here.....sometimes I didn't have anything against our leaders but I have it with we youth that suppose to see with our open eyes and embrace one and other no matter what part of the country we are from, religion and tribe. we criticized ourselves than our leaders does. Can we just think positive for 2 minutes and stop selling any candidate for 2015? We have the power to make this country great or bad cause we are 50m population.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad about this! How can the largest economy in africa be so happy about two short two-lane highways?? The last time I saw people this happy is here where a major commuter freeway was extended to 7 lanes each side plus 2-lane eash side toll/hov lane. This was from crowded but fully safe and functional 3 lanes each side. The celebration was for the change in commute time in half not that they wont die on way home on that road. Shame!!
ReplyDeleteIts a continuous process and its coming your way.
ReplyDeleteWe must all embrace our transformation agenda. Can't you see that light overcomes darkness. The rouges in our government can't stand the present transformation. This transformation started from the PDP. Now its reformed, born again and all things has become new.
GEJ we stand!
Hon. Mike, obulu obulu obhio.
ReplyDeleteLINDA GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteOnly the Ibadan to Oyo section of the Ibadan to Ilorin road is dualised and Okay. The longer Oyo to Ilorin section is still a death trap.
Same goes for Lagos-Benin Road. Only Ore to Benin depicts your pix. The Fore section is not as good.
BTW IB to Oyo road pre-existed GEJ govt.
- A regular user of these routes
yet dey wouldnt fix the road leading to sambisa forest...how hard can dat be?lolz.there are no development better than the security of lives&property. i wait 4 dat genius dat wd tell me good road helps&den drop his direct home address to shekau and lets see if the good road will stop him...GEJ; yeye foul...

ReplyDeleteI drove this road a week ago. It is only some portions(ore to benin) that has been fixed. Sagamu to ore is still very bad.
ReplyDeletewell, not every part of that road, but some part. I travelled home by road to the east, early may.
ReplyDeletethe lane for those coming back from the east, needs urgent attention though.
Kudos to the government so far
This is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThe second picture is just ibadan to Oyo. Oyo to Ogbomoso is death trap.
ReplyDeleteGEJ is my best president ever. Forget those bokos ndi ara. All the states are having new look
ReplyDeleteHow many years warranty do we have on these roads before it gets to where it was before?
ReplyDeleteGEJ i hail u, Anambra looks beta than this *IAMHERE2SPY*
ReplyDeleteIt was Obasanjo that awarded and did the Ibadan Oyo road and Ogbomosho Ilorin road not GEJ.
ReplyDeleteLinda please give correct information.
Oyo Ogbomosho is terribly bad, took the road on my way to Ilorin last 2 weeks
Linda this is a paid adverts and this may affect your fans. the picture was Ibadan to Oyo and Ore to Benin. you may not post if you like. other blog will post it.
ReplyDeleteErrrm people there's no need for insults na, there r supposed to be street lights or lemme called them road lamps, major highs or not go check major highways in the more developed world like M25s dem
ReplyDeleteKudos to GEJ....as we don't need to start criticizing but encourage our leaders at least to start from somewhere.....
ReplyDeleteGEJ a'int working says my fellow Northern Religious bigot brothers.
ReplyDeleteHe that sees good thing and fight it, good shall never come to his house. #karma.
All the black belle APC members will Neva see anything good in others success cos the are bent on painting everything black Jst as there hearts are black with hate an islamization of Nigeria....
ReplyDeletemadam LINDA hv u been paid to publicise dis ahead of 2015. no wahala, if u don collect d cash no 4get us o.
ReplyDeleteContract for Ilorin- Ibadan was awarded in 2006 not GEJ project
ReplyDeleteNa lie, all na scam, was on ibadan-ilorin road 3days ago. It is still d same way. This picture is ilorin to ogbomoso, dats d only gd portion n its been since '08 or so
ReplyDeleteSo finally dey decided to do it. Thnk God for dere lifes
ReplyDeleteLINDA IKEJI Patrick obaghiagbon will atleast quit the "state of agony"
ReplyDeleteLinda....Ibadan/Ilorin road is not complete het. Remains the Oyo/Ogbomosho section to make it complete and that has been abandoned for a while now. than and only when that section is complete can we give the FG the Job well done they deserve....even though this should have been completed durin OBYs' era
ReplyDeleteDon't you think there should be street light on this road?
ReplyDeleteIs this how the road looks from Lagos to Benin or is this just a section of the road?
ReplyDeleteIs this how the road looks from Lagos to Benin or is this just a section of the road?
ReplyDeleteWhat portion of Ibadan - Ilorin Road, bearing in mind that it is only Ogbomoso - Ilorin and Ibadan - Oyo Road that are now completed and motorable in addition to the fact that they are both shorter than Oyo Ogbomosho Road which is very difficult to ply.It is not commendable for anyone to disseminate information with a view to deceiving people, more so Jonathan was not the one who even commenced the project and not until when the greater part of the road - Oyo/Ogbomosho has been completed, no kudos to anyone including Obasanjo.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate him so that he can do more. Stupid ingteats. God go punish all you haters of Goodluck.
ReplyDeleteHaba or you mean Edo part of the Lagos-Benin cos i travel that route on friday and Ore was still bad. Dont understand why they are pasting pic of a particular location.
ReplyDeleteYou sure say na the road be dis? Nor photoshop anything here o!
ReplyDeleteEVERY YEAR, IT IS ANNOUNCED THAT THE LAGOS BENIN ROAD HAS BEEN FIXED BUT WHENEVER I GET TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE ROAD, THE ROAD STILL REMAINS A DEATHTRAP WHERE ONE SPENDS SEVERAL UNCOMFORTABLE HOURS...
ReplyDeleteONLY A LITTLE PORTION OF THE ROAD HAS PRESENTLY BEEN FIXED YET POLITICIANS WILL SPREAD MISLEADING PICTURES IN THEIR BID TO DECEIVE THE GULLIBLE MASSES...
IT IS EVEN MORE DISHEARTENING THAT POPULAR BLOGS WILL ALSO HELP THESE POLITICIANS SPREAD THEIR FALSEHOOD WITHOUT CONFIRMING THE INFORMATION FIRST... LINDA IKEJI, I AM DISSAPPOINTED IN YOU.. A FRIEND OF MINE TRAVELLED FROM WARRI TO LAGOS SOME WEEKS AGO AAND COMPLAINED BITTERLY ABOUT THE STATE OF THAT ROAD..
IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT WHILE OUR POLITICIANS HAVE DECEIVED US FOR DECADES, NIGERIANS HAVE CONTINUED TO BE GULLIBLE AND HAVE STUBBORNLY REFUSED TO BE SMART..
Plenty talk........ I though hate it when people come and say rubbish. This is so benin to ore at least I travelled at least once or twice to et fro lagos to benin. The other parts of the road from ore down to lagos is a serious death trap.
ReplyDeleteBefore you all start making noise of praising. Where are the street lights? This is even more dangerous cos cars will be speeding at night with their full headlights on and more cause for accidents!!!!
ReplyDelete
