Going by the tweets of Jamil Abubakar, Son of Inspector General of Police, riot has broken out in Kano state following the announcement of former CBN governor Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano. According to his tweets, Jamil says the people of Kano are not happy with the announcement and are causing trouble in the town. He however says the situation has been brought under control and no life was lost.
Linda this is unlike you, show his tweet as u usualy do.
ReplyDeleteThanks. You are so observant. I wanted to say the same thing.
DeleteWRITING IN CAPS SO HOPEFULLY,THE DAFT WILL UNDERSTAND.
DeleteALH SANUSI LAMIDO IS NEXT IN LINE.HIS GRANDFATHER WAS THE EMIR BEFORE THE ALH ADO BAYERO(RIP).
WHEN SANUSI LAMIDOS GRANDFATHER PASSED ON,SANUSIS DAD WAS UNAVAILABLE TO STEP IN.ITS SINCE BEEN KNOWN THAT WHEN THE ALH ADO PASSES,SANUSI LAMIDO WOULD STEP IN.
PLEASE USE YOUR GOOGLE ENGINE.YOUR DATA BUNDLE IS USEFUL FOR OTHER THINGS BESIDES COMING TO LINDAS BLOG TO DISPLAY YOUR IGNORANCE.
I FORGOT TO ADD,THAT UNLIKE THE,YORUBAS AND IBOS(I'M YORUBA),THAT SELL THEIR TRADITIONAL TITLE,THE HAUSA PEOPLE ARE QUITE DISTINGUISHED IN THEIR CHOICE OF RULERS,THEY WOULD HAVE CARRIED OUT THEIR INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIONS NOT BASED ON ALL THIS POLITICS AND WOULD NEVER PUT SLS UP IF HE'S HANDS ARE TRULY DIRTY.
DeletePLEASE LETS STOP SPREADING STORIES WE AREN'T SURE OF.HALF OF OUR PROBLEM IN NIGERIA IS HE SAID ,SHE SAID.
Is not according to the eldest son oooo. Kano people have their own way of selecting their emir. Sanisu's father is next but he is too old so they gave sanusi. Sanisu brother is the brother to the late emir is always turn by turn among the brothers. So is their turn
DeleteIndeed! You must have talk it corrrect! Minster for truth and justice! Mtcheeeew! Ever heard or met a power drunk northerner?! #SLSproBH

*My R1.50c comment *
Keep ur ignorant mouth shut
DeleteAngie cape get your facts straight before you comment. There are two ruling houses in kano, the Bayero's and the Sanusi's. SLS grandfather was dethroned and Ado Bayero was made emir, so the Bayero house has been ruling for the past 50years, is it not only logical that the Sanusi house should step in now? Besides there is no where, where it is written that Ado's son should or must rule after his father. The king makers choose three names from the ruling houses and submits to the state govt, and the state govt chooses whom it deem fits. So all this your grammar is baseless.
DeleteWhy is she ignorant?
DeleteMinisters for truth and justice, it is also not unusual for them to announce the two names? Were they guessing whose turn it would be or probably there was a toss of coin to determine that? Or they just made a random guess today?! Dick heads, look beyond your nose and stop telling cock and bull stories! #SLSproBH
DeleteSanusi was the rightful emir several years ago, but he was to young and he was not ready...the plan was for the late emir to stand in for him till he matures, only for bayero to refuse to step aside when lamidu sanusi was ready.all the people who are protesting are just ignorant
DeleteThank God no life was lost
ReplyDeleteSanusi now the Emir of Kano? If the right procedure was followed then I wish him a peaceful reign. The riot is uncalled for thank God its been brought under control. #Glophil
ReplyDeleteThis is what I expected...why would they skip bayero's first son and even his second to put a stranger on the throne....?..no its not fair!
ReplyDeleteDondumex.com
Stranger? Stop thinking with your dick! Bayros and Sanusis are the two clans qualified to be Emir in Kano state
DeleteStranger ! SLS is a prince so he's entitled to be d emir ! U need more knowledge before u spew trash
DeleteWho says SLS is a stranger? When u don't know something pls kip quiet.
DeleteD throne goes round the 3 families of 3 brothers. Abdullah, Ado bayero n lamido Sanusi. The next in line is the family of SLS, but den ders politics. Lol.

Now Jonathan and PDP in trouble, lol. I'm sure 2015 is gonna be hot politically!!!
ReplyDeleteU are mad. How will his position as Emir affect PDP or 2015 elections. A traditional ruler not even a political appointee. Think before u spew ur ignorance.
DeleteBoniface, lol, you are the ignorant one in this situation. Are you really asking what role traditional rulers have in politics? Do you know how much influence they have over their people?
DeleteNice reaction @boniface and to anno, a traditional ruler is apolitical(can not support nor finance nor belong to political parties)he has been politically handicapped. ..liv politics 4 ppl wit reasoning.
DeleteIt seems you don't know how important the emir of kano is in nigeria @boniface
DeleteOh plz all of u supportin sanusi shhuld short d f**k up,in d african culture,only 1 family produces d leader(monarchy),d deseased has sons,so y wuld a stranger b made d emir?u skip d 1st nd 2nd son nd brot a fraudster 2 rule us?neva gon happen.he shuld carry his politics 2 abj
ReplyDeleteU are the worst kind of ignorant.....the confident kind. Just sharrap!
DeleteMumu, what do u know? This is no monarchy, it is an emirate, there are families entitled to d throne and it is rotated amongst them and it so happens to be the turn of Lamido Sanusi. They. W anted to play politics and e no work. He has taken what belongs to him, swim in d atlantic
DeleteWhich African culture? Dont say what you dont know. Even in the yoruba tradition, it rotates among families. Pls stop staying rubbish.
DeleteNo you shut up! In which African culture? Who told you Sanusi is a stranger? You must be daft not to know about the kano ruling houses and the fact that Sanusi is a prince whose grandfather was dethroned and the late emir Ado was made emir. Abeg go and read your history book. Ode like you.
DeleteHehehe. Mumu.
DeleteU must be an illiterate for you to vomit this nonsense even in Lagos is it the only Oyekan family that have the right to the throne, we have Oyekan, akiolu and other families entitled to the throne. So go and get your fact It is never done in Africa that a family has the right to the throne. It may be so in some places but not in most cases. If you hate Sanusi, my dear u may go and lunge in chibock
DeleteYou are ignorantly stupid
Delete@ anon 7:42, I guess u are one historian that graduated from a questionable university, in some places there are royal families that can only produce kings, so please get your facts straight , don't feed people with wrong information.
DeleteU r a PDO member,bad belle
DeleteYou are a big fool. Kano emirates rotates among 3 families. Not the birthright of the Bayero's . All these nyamiris coming here to comment on custom they don't know. Nigerians and I Too Know, !
Deleteabeg by us u mean? coz if u were a son of the soil u'ld know he is royalty. the fact there are general customs in africa doesnt mean it is thesame in each individual custom. once more, sls is a prince
DeleteAnn 7.42pm...Im still wondering how u were able to use a modern phone...one with ur kinda bring shouldnt be able to spell or read...pls how do u do both?african culture! Infact u b fool.
DeleteThey protest over every thing in 9ja now
ReplyDelete#bringbackourpeace
I knew there was much said between the former governor and the emir's family about the emirate title which is why I was surprised Ado Bayero keeled over easily for Sanusi! We haven't heard the last of this.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the beginning. North be ready. You will do yourself in. God is in charge.
ReplyDeletePDP at work
ReplyDeleteJonathan and his PDP cohorts should stop playing politics with everything. Sanusi is qualified and we all knew this since, the history is there. Its the prerogative of the Governor and the king makers.
ReplyDeleteWa sere,u get mouth die
DeleteAnno 7.48pm...pls where did u read abt Jonathan commenting against or for in the issue of SLS or Bayeros?pls whats politics?
DeleteNa lie! They can't do shit!! Long Live SLS... May ur reign be long and filled with great achievements
ReplyDeleteEverything has become political
ReplyDeletehmmmmm...

DeleteU are a big fool, give one reason why they shud engage in violence? Idiot
DeletePDP is causing confusion in kano.
DeleteGod Punish dt ur Yeye fingers dt U R using in typing and saying dt Islam is synonymous 2 Violence. What is christianity synonymous to, is d fact dt d church and all A list pastors like TD Jakes and Joel Osteen R all Illuminati servants or d fact dt there is Homosexuality and Peadophilia in d Vertican than any body in d world?

I don't like talking abt dz things but some foolish christians keep talking wid their anuses whn ever it comes 2 Islam.
Yall shld jes live and let's live coz d fact dt Muslims don't say anythg doesn't mean we don't kno wht the white man's trash called christianity is all about. We jes choose 2 keep 2 ourselves as empty vessels make d loudest noise.

*ISLAM IS PEACE*
*SUNNI 100%*
Muslims are too cultured to Be talking to a lunatic
DeleteYu r obviously a cow n unintelligent for u to spew such shallow words frm ur trap.
DeleteBeing a Yoruba person you are taught from childhood to be diplomatic in all you do, its called diplomacy not being lily livered know what you gonna do , don't make noise about it , but at the end of the day do wat u wanna do that's it , abi u think its easy to be the most sophisticated tribe in Africa ni ????? Linda thunder fire u if u don't post this cos I know u be tribalist .
DeletePolitics wif our social Institution in called 4 very wrong!!!!
ReplyDeleteam so happy 4 him
ReplyDeleteWho says he is not qualified? He is the most qualified. His grandfather was the emir, his father was next but was unavailable so they chose the kings brother. Sanusi lamido is the grandson of the emir before this deceased one so he is very much entitled to the throne. Haters keep hating since u can't do anything about it. Live ur life and let him live his. He was chosen and he will rule.
ReplyDelete@Musediq, is dat how an Emir is been selected. For real? Give your self some brains. Boy don't be decieved.
ReplyDeleteGeneva.
@Don Dumex did I hear u call Sanusi a stranger to Kano Emirate? #smile# and for those asking about Bayero's first son, was the late Emir's father an Emir? Pls let's be conversant with history, and as for the "protest" it seems more political that is if there was any protest @all. May His Eminence S.L.S reign peacefully longer than his forefathers#amin#
ReplyDeleteYes the late emir's father was an emir before sanusi lamido's grandfather.
DeleteI am really surprises at this development ,Royal is about blood line never about appointments
ReplyDeleteYou need night school bruv
DeleteSLS has original royal blood in him, this is not an appointment
DeleteMoney now buys kingship...hmmm!
ReplyDeleteIf the dude is qualified then why the trouble. Am sure is pdp @ work cos they av already sent out a congratulatory message earlier today to the emirs 1st son, shame on pdp
ReplyDeleteBut I read it 2day dat they av apointed the son of Bayero (The former emir) as the emir of Kano. The one they said has a degree in law... Am confused
ReplyDeleteNa was for these people oo
ReplyDeleteHmm just passing
ReplyDeleteMay he time brings peace to the nation and end biko haram insurgency
ReplyDeleteIf the Kingmakers recommended him then so be it.My onyl grouse is that Sanusi is an islamic extremist it was so evident when he introduced Islamic banking into a secular society like Nigeria. The North has an agenda and are playing out a script.Events have already started unfolding(this is one).we should beware ,our unity is at stake.
ReplyDeleteGod save us in this country. $£.

ReplyDeleteYou're so confused I can't help but pity you...
You said Hausas and Muslims are violent, Yorubas are Lilly livered... but Ibos are perfect ba? Your hatred for Islam has transcended to tribe bcos you JUST HAVE TO HATE on something! Oponu Oshi
Politics at its peak
ReplyDeleteStill laughin..
ReplyDeleteKano-the state dat was! Kano was once an enviable state, second only to Lagos. But they have killed the state and its economy with unprovoked rioting n nefarious activities. They'll only have to live in n endure the carcas without grumbling.
ReplyDelete@anonymous 7:39...it is your father that is thinking with his ballz.....overfed pig!
ReplyDeleteDondumex.com
How comes d emir jst decided to die now dat SLS is no longer in cbn.he had always bin keen abt dis emir thing.am i d only one who smells a rat here.was Ado bayero killed or sth.why did he not die wen SLS was still in cbn.hmmmm
ReplyDeleteLike many youths that comment on this blog. Youre clueless. Ado Bayero (may his soul RIP) has been ill for a long time. There's no conspiracy theory about that. He died peacefully and SLS reign will be peaceful despite what PDP plans.
DeleteU r the only one. And the dead rat resides just north of ur nostrils, behind ur eyes...inside ur head. 83yr old man dies and u say u smell a rat
DeleteDid I jst hear sum1 sai sanusi is'nt royalty lyk pls get ur facts rite cos he is vey much royal,so if dem lyk mke dem riot 4m na til 100yrs na dem sabi.....
ReplyDeleteSo MAny drama in my belove Nigeria.....

ReplyDeleteSo our President will Bow to Sanusi? Mbok see drama!
ReplyDeleteJane u r very stupid for making such state about the Moslems, u cursed evil igbo. Shame on u
ReplyDeletePutting sanusi was done do undermine GEJ but darris God n Darris PDP.Choi!
ReplyDeleteThis Guy has been tipped to become the next Emir long before most of us knew him. It is his seat! Why should they protest? We can be really funny people.
ReplyDeleteNortherners and their wahala! I hope Sanusi won't give more powers to BH?
ReplyDeleteP.
ReplyDeleteD.

Nigeria and sentiment. Greed is supposed to be the last name for Naija. Sanusi dosent deserve it and that's why we are having problem in Kano. Let's learn to do the right thing in this country and not politically.
ReplyDeleteI wonder y sum pple talk like a fool is it possible for sum1 to just b put on d throne if he's not entitle to d throne?bunch of idiots fools
ReplyDeleteWho cares? They are all BH descendants, If dem like make dem kill demselves, very stupid set if muslims/northerners. I wonder why Nigeria is not divided. It will be safe cos the muslims/northerners yield nothing but sickness and destruction in Nigeria. Brainless ppl na to fight be their occupation.
ReplyDeleteCongrats SLS! More grease to your elbow. God bless you and see you through to overcome your enemies
ReplyDeleteSanusi Father was dethrone during Abacha's regime and this is simply why the Northerns now decide to give him back his right throne...so hopefully the all this will be sorted out in due time..
ReplyDeleteAbacha's regime? Ado Bayero reigned for 50 years so are u saying Abacha reigned 50 years ago? I can't laugh
DeleteLong live the emir. If ordained by God who can recall? Remember king David and Saul
ReplyDeleteGames of throne- season 5 live in Nigeria
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time commenting. I had to, 'cos I can see a lot of our youths are just daft! Who told you Sanusi Lamido doesn't have right to the throne? Better get your facts right before you make comments on any issue.
ReplyDeleteDee
Congrats to SLS jare... It is a title well deserved!
ReplyDeleteThat one concerns them.
ReplyDeleteConfusion in d enemy camp, dis is only the beginning
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who noticed the IG's son's gbagaun
ReplyDeleteMust everything end in violence..... Nigerians please let's learn how to dialogue to solve issues. fighting and killing will only worsen issues...
ReplyDeleteA people get the kind of leaders they deserve. Sanusi opened a can of worms and Nigerians choose to crucify him instead of bringing culprits to book. For the records Sanusi is forthright and the powers that be have tried to drag his name in the mud. Sanusi is also a prince and for anyone who is ignorant, of the facts, Sanusi is a Prince and There is more than one ruling house in Kano. Sanusi is more than QUALIFIED please!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm oga Jona u beta sit back and strategize hw to curb this sanusi beef b4 2015
ReplyDelete#####################GOD punish##################################devil
They should fight cos it's a bad decision
ReplyDeleteIt's political
ReplyDeleteHe thinks he has immunity from prosecution
ReplyDeleteDon dumex I excuse your ignorance, next time remember google is your friend.let me educate you Sanusis grand father was the emir before Ado bairo and Ado bairo was installed by default so the crown has returned to the rightful owner, he is not a stranger but pure blue blood.
ReplyDeleteThe emir goes to Bayero's son. It is a family heritage not politics.
ReplyDeleteAlhamdulillah congrat. Nigerians u should knw dat. Wat goes up most come arnd
ReplyDeleteE CONCERN DEM THERE.................
ReplyDeletePoint is that sanusi lamido sanusi is now the emir of kano, another deadly mistake by the northerners. Kano is the pride of the north and to have an evil emir will further destroy kano. Igbos should learn their lesson, leave kano for good. Gideon akaluka's blood is still fresh in the hands of sanusi, boko haram will thrive more under this apc emir.
ReplyDeleteI have lost respect for the throne SLS is presently occupying
ReplyDeleteMost of the comments here just goes to show that ignorance is the major problem in Nigeria. People refuse to think critically. Good day.
ReplyDeleteDis is serious
ReplyDeleteI pity muslims
ReplyDelete
