Piers Morgan tweets on missing girls, calls on US/Europe to assist

There are actually people who doubt that these girls were actually kidnapped despite the fact that Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. Are you one of those who doubt? If so, why? Continue to see more tweets...

    6. Nigeria is facing a critical problem dat d only solution is 4 d president To start giving d military attention. my own interpretation to Nigeria terrorism is that the military has a hand in what is going on in our country. If the government want peace in Nigeria they knw how to go about it. The innocents are dying everyday and we dat don't have personal securities are vulnerable to attack even in our private homes. God help ur children from evil leadership.

    1. Linda the issue here isn't weather there was any kidnapping! Rather the question is in what manner! Those with analytical mind and who ain't so gullible will agree with me that this abduction(yes there is likely to be one) is a well orchestrated plan by Borno government, bokoharam, their islamic northern elite sponsors and high powers that be (foreingners who are still debating on what to do with Nigeria) to further their selfish political and power dominating agenda! Jonathan may not be all we want as a president but the spate of terrorism in recent times here is sure a political mechnics employed by the islamic elites to seize the country even at the expense of their own people oh yes!they are that heartless!iraq, syria and lebanon has proven that the islamic power hungry extremist can decimate all his people to gain power-go ask Bashir al asad of Syria!

    2. Well said!

      Delete
  20. Well, looking at it,the logistics for abducting 200+ girls wunt be easy, but it happened in Nigeria coz of our lack of security and our failure to be proactive, lack of information flow and a very faulty democratic government.

Like I asked,I this happened in UK,USA,Japan and other worlds, will it take their President 3 weeks to come up and say something about it?and even if it takes 3 weeks to address the is very important issues for some reasons, will their President eventually come out so clueless and so uninformed, with no word of assurance, hope or any soothing word to put minds of the Citizens to rest?

The fact that he still has jingles of campaign going on on TV,he still parties and no immediate action is been taken to forestall future reoccurrence and protect lives of the Citizens also beats me.

I will advice that till the Boko Harram Excesses are cut to the least possible,President Jonathan should not make any Social,Political and should not make any Media or Public statements until they have a good Media Adviser,so such show of Stupidity and Idiotic display will stop.

I also pity PDP in 2015 with this their Jonathan Ambition.

  24. Yes, I doubt, something is definitely not right @ all! Did u see that flight dat got missing? See how the relatives attacked govt. Officials and sometimes press pples, see the Korean boat mishap, same reaction, I hvent seen a personal story of some1 claiming to have lost some1, doesn't it mean dat der relatives r so calm abt d issue? Com'on. Also, wen pples Hve such elements like boko harma, der MUST be some resistance by Pple in dat state, which isn't present! Think, OPC, bakasi, MEND, these groups, came out to fight some type of problems in their state! Does it mean that there isn't any organised resistance by the youths or even their traditional rulers? In Bini, wen kidnapping was bcoming a big problem, the Oba of Benin, came out to curse the kidnappers! My point is this, for a state that "hates" boko haram n is genuinely against them, wat efforts have dey made? NONE. The state is only blaming FG, without anything bin done! It's pure politics! Think! Imagine Pple from seme boarder cross into Nigeria, n start causing problems? It wldnt be hard to find area boys dat wldnt start fighting dem Asap! The north Hve der own agenda, n r seriously backing boko haram to destabilize govt. The average aboki, is very aggressive, in a very small quarrel dey wld bring out a dagger to stab who dey r fighting? Where r all d aboki's? Where's d resistance? NONE! The north shld stop this foolish politics!

  34. @Anonymous May 12: 28am
Thank you for stating the fact that the American govt are not the angels we think they claim. I have always suspected that they have a hand in the BH crisis. They are the type to create a problem because they know they will be called for help to provide a solution. I observed the northern part of Nigeria alone has enough resources to sustain a whole country. I suspect they are trying to gain control of this region, and since they know that Nigerians will not willfully allow expatriates to exploit their resources, they have decided to use tactics. The US and China are having strains due to the fact that they cannot pay off their debt in Gold. Where else to get the rest of the gold if not from a country that has bountiful and does not exploit it anyway?
    Something is definitely not right.
I just wish Nigerians would not be so susceptible.

  37. First of all, there hasn't been a consistent report about the missing girls. All we know is over 200 girls are missing. Secondly y would the military claim that they rescued the girls, what kind of publicity stunt is that? These mothers are frantic, we see them all over the news, yet they haven't even attempted to tell us the names of their daughters or showed us any picture. If my daughter were kidnapped, I would 'more than' protest. And finally, the government isn't doing anything about, (anything we can see)

    ReplyDelete
  47. If you are born a moslem woman, get used to the fact that you don't have a right because your religion didn't provide you with one. You are a mere object to be used and abused. That is why your men don't wait for you to mature before they start defiling you. They deny you education so that you won't know the evil this religion has done to you. Change begins with one woman. Enough is enough.

  51. Nigerians, i am amazed o!! You all are applauding Piers Morgan for saying " Barrack Obama, what are you waiting for, go in and rescue those girls!". Interpretation, America, override the sovereignty of Nigeria, do to them what you did to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. History is written so we learn from the mistakes of the past. Yes i am sorry and saddened about the missing schoolgirls, i am also appalled by the seeming lack of action on the part of the Nigerian government and armed forces, but my fellow Nigerian resort to the western nations for aid in this instance especially military aid is not the answer. Let us instead mount pressure on the Nigerian Government to act, the Nigerian armed forces are properly equipped and trained enough to tackle Boko Haram. God bless us and heal our land. Amen!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Expressing my thoughts again, i ask why was that school and possibly others opened, they are literally sitting ducks for Boko Haram attacks. As a mother i have asked myself since this news broke, would i have released my daughters to go to this school in a region under constant attack by Boko Haram; wouldn't it have been better for these girls to have missed out on a school year and still have their lives unsullied by these militants? They say hindsight is 100%. Parents in the North eastern part of Nigeria (the region in the north also having the highest christian population, note that the North-west region of Nigeria having the highest number of muslims is not under attack) pull your children out of these schools and send them to schools in peaceful regions of the country. This is my perspective, this is what i would have done. Once again God have mercy on our Nation, Nigeria. Amen!

  65. Dear Linda and LIBers,
This is my take on the Chibok girls drama. There is a possibility that the girls were actually taken away but, like Osita Iheme asked where are the parents or guardians of theses girls? Are they scared of cameras or the print media?
Just as it is well known that there are people who sponsors this terrorist group, the whole Chibok Kidnap might just be a stage play where the media has also aided in this whole drama.
That the leader of the group came out to take responsibility of the kidnap of the over 200 girls in Chibok does not mean that there was actually a kidnap or missing girls it might just be a part of the script that is played out just to achieve the aim(s) of the sponsors of the sect.
Now, just maybe, that might explain US/Europes silence in this Chibok matter.
However, FG should still put in more efforts in the security of our country. We as citizens too have a key role to play in the security of our country.

Those asking for the faces of the parents and guardian should pause and think for a minute that BOKO HARAM has informants everywhere in the North especially borno...if they start making their facees public what will be their faith??
Secondly these parents and other women went in solidarity to sanbisa forest with the army leading...so because its not in camera doesnt mean they are not for real..Moreso,if they are not truely missing, then the President and security agents should bring them out..at least they dont need to fight Boko haram to do that, for those of you who believe they have not been kidnapped!!
    My take: #bringbackthegirls!!
