  21. Really? That's their solution? This government is an embarrassment and it's faux pas keeps reaching new heights daily. Really?!! Who is the bigger moron who gives advise to these nitwits? How many hundred thousand fighters does Boko Haram have that we now need youth volunteers? What will happen if, God forbids, this country goes into full blown war? All just in a bid to whip up political sentiments/sympathy and create the false impression that they care? What is wrong with the nearly 1 million men and women that currently make up the security machinery in Nigeria? So the solution is to send another batch of 3000 young Nigerians who have been hurriedly trained for 3 months so they will also be cut short like those before them? Mr President sir, the soldiers on ground there have already spoken: Curb corruption, improve their welfare, provide better equipment, arms and ammunition , take care of their families if indeed they do make the ultimate sacrifice for this nation, and they will bring Boko Haram to its knees in 1 week.

Volunteer soldiers can work in America and other countries dat has its citizen @ heart cos u know wen u die In course of war ur family will b adequately taken care of not in Nigeria. The only tin Nigerian govt will do for u is wrap ur coffin with green and white cloth and Dats d end. Chai poor pple will continue to suffer in dis country. 58. Volunteer soldiers ? Why ? This shows the military is not to ready fight insurgency in the country alone, they don't want to die. They now want civilian sheilds. To be a soldier is not about luxury it's about defending the nation at all times .American soldiers with their good economy go to anywhere fight, die and conquer but see how reluctant you are now, looking for volunteers as if Boko Haram has out numbered you.

  65. May God help Nigerian Army! He COAS and army Generals has lost bearing and doesn't seem to understand what they're doing. Same members of Bokok Haram will enlist to be trained wit national resources. Today, there are lots of young sldrs who deserted from Depot NA immediately on completion of their training, to this the NA cannot find there whereabout. Some troops of 213 Bn and 7 DiVs located at Demboa-GWoza road have been slaughtered recently due to lack of equipment and now you want to recruit volunteers? That is not going to solve any problem but add to it! The Army need equipments as all the ones on ground bought from China and u know what that means. Nigerian armed forces participated credibly well in Liberia, Sierra Leone cos the equipments acquired in early 1980s were very functional at d outbreak of Liberian War in 1989.how then do u expect those weapons to be effective over 30 years later?WE R fighting a war where the Generals remain inside their office and give orders to capture Boko Haram locations with just a single Armoured Car and AK-47 as what led to the death of a Commanding Officer ilast week in combat where it took 5 days b4 the Corpse was recovered with magot already on it. There was no air support or artillery pieces to rain fire on the Boko Haram enclave. Well less to talk...equip the army u have now instead of thinking of more recruitment.Gen Ihejirika did more recruitment of 9000 sldrs btw OCT last year to Mar this year, we now have young sldrs with no battle experience and pose a nuisance to d war . Pres GEJ, plse gather facts from troops in the frontline and not Generals that don't even know the road to Sambisa or what the solution is to our problem. Thank you

Are we in a war situation? I agree that Terrorism is an act of war but has it gotten to this. whats up with our SSS services? aw about our other intelligence units? are we just throwing soldiers into forests and having them killed without proper intelligence? too many questions i guess. MY BELIEVE: The only reason why this has gotten to this is because something is terribly wrong somewhere.

  100. As beautiful as this is, it's also really bad. It simply means that many of our soldiers have lost their lives to this insurgency. Now, they want volunteers who will be half trained to combat these ruthless BH guys. It also means that till the training is complete, which no one knows when, little or nothing might be done. May God put an end to all these soon o.
