Missing Chibok Girls: US to send troops to Chad

President Barack Obama has directed the deployment of 80 members of its armed forces to Chad to help in the search for the kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls, CNN reports. In a letter sent to members of the US National Assembly, the US president said the armed troops will be involved in maintaining aircraft and analyzing data
"These personnel will support the operation of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft for missions over northern Nigeria and the surrounding area. The force will remain in Chad until its support in resolving the kidnapping situation is no longer required."
According to a senior official, the troops deployment is not based on any new intelligence leads.

    2. And do you think all informations passed ar true..they js need to update the masses cos if they dont...we'd still be the one to say the Govt is keeping quite and lack the ability to tackle this menace

      Delete
    3. I thought of the same thing but the truth is, if they don't announce, pple go still talk say government is not doing anything about it. I believe the Nigerian/American government is not daft enough to announce every of their movement, they only want pple to know how far they've gone.

  30. Its a good thing they have their operational base in Chad. This will give them an independent analysis of any gathered intelligence and surveillance data without any critical input from Nigerian cos they felt that Boko Haram has infiltrated Nigerian armed forces therefore cannot be relied on on a high security operation like this.
    This is my take.

  31. I believe the U.S army knows what they are doing and they are planning on a secret attack on Boko haram sect. Don't be surprise when you see updates that U.S troop has killed Boko haram leader same way they did to Osama Bin Laden. The U.S knows who and who in Aso rock that are involved in this and very soon you B.K will be history.
