Jos blast: Igbo community confirms death of 36 members, 42 injured

The Igbo community in Jos, Plateau State, has confirmed that 36 Igbo men and women residing in Jos were killed in the twin bomb blast that rocked the city on Tuesday May 20th, with 42 others  injured and many others still missing.

The Eze Igbo II of Jos  Prof. Joseph Obilom stated this today Monday May 26th while addressing newsmen at his Palace in Jos.
"Our people were worst hit by the blast. Most of our members are traders, who own shops at the terminus market. Goods worth millions of Naira of our members were destroyed. We are calling on the Federal and State government to come to our aid by sending relief materials to the injured and affected members." he said

I dnt care to know whichever useless tribe u come from bt the fact will always remain that no tribe in nigeria is better than the igbo tribe. Retarded son of a whore that's exactly what u r. Ur tribes men might be cowards, not the igbo tribe ok. Idiot! May evil visit ur tribe beyound human imaginations. Bastard!

  5. Igbos own most of the shops in most markets in Nigeria. I'm not surprised at all. May God bless their souls. So sad.

  6. So surprised about the number of
Igbos still out there. I have made this call long time ago and almost every month at any gathering i stepped on that Igbos in the North should relocate. Come and turn the East the Dubai of West Africa. Whatever business you do in any part of Nigeria can very much succeed in Igbo land. It is old fashion now to see any igbo building, buying or constructing houses outside igbo land. That attitude must stop. Please hear me my people. Rip to the dead.

  9. It is always the Igbo people who are worst hit in crisis like this. Government should come to their aid cos we have never caused Nigeria any trouble unless you count for that! But we have paid enough for that.

  43. 36 Igbo people out of the 118 people killed, yet he claims Igbos were the worst hit? If a Prof can reason like this, then what will the average man on the street do?

Dear Nigerians, terrorism affects ALL of us, the bombs do not kill people of certain tribes or religion or class.

These old men and women who are still bitter about perceived injustices of the past are trying to incite us to hate each other. Let's not allow ourselves to get sucked into their fear and tricks.

  44. The East is one of the smallest regions, you think people migrate because they want to live away from home by force. The way the country is, people migrated for better. Before you start shouting come back home, create job opportunities because the average igbo man is into sales...if everyone is selling, who will buy? Abeg make we use sense talk.

  51. The best lie in Nigeria is "one Nigeria". Thatz very big lie, we re not one, what makes us one? Same religion? Same culture? Same belief? Love among ourselves? An average yoruba man hate an igbo man, an average igbo man hate an housa man, an average housa man hate a yoruba man, why re we deceiving ourselves with "one Nigeria.
