Columbus Short fired from Scandal after domestic violence incident

Oyibo people take domestic violence seriously. So should we. For allegedly attacking his wife and threatening to kill her and then himself, actor Columbus short has been fired from hit series, Scandal.

Columbus confirmed via a statement released to the media yesterday that he won't be returning to the blockbuster series
"At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you Gladiators, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."

    4. What a bad wife can do to a man's career or destiny. Funny enough pple are always quick to shout domestic violence without knowing what the man has gone through in the marriage. Some women are evil even when you are very good to them, just saying this from personal experience though.

  17. Guy oyibo dey take am seriously but Nigeria can not deal with it because 90% of married men in Nigeria are into the system of attacking their wives. Secondly in America men are under their wives while in Nigeria a wife must be under her husband...........mummy Ada

  30. Not only domestic violence, they take image very seriously. When Isiah Washington used racial slur against one of the xters from Grey's anatomy, he was immediately axed from the show. To American a good image is everything, for 9ja? For where!!!

  35. Shonda Rhimes doesn't play when it comes to legal troubles. She hates things like this. She hates her actors having outside scandals...She is known for killing people off when they start to misbehave. I like him and I'll miss him but dude needs to settle his family issues and get things back on track. I'm really not surprised that he got fired. Most people saw it coming

  36. So Linda you don't think threatening to kill your wife is a serious offence? That is not Nigeria you know? They are civilised.

  37. I just knew it when his xter was killed by B6 13 at the end of season 3!

  38. What did his wife do to make him act like that?

  39. Oh! Oh! That's a shame. But the show has an image to protect.

  42. No wonder he was killed in the latest episode I saw today...dt was probably a way of ending his part..

  43. See how domestic violence is being taken seriously. Only if Nigeria can be sensitive to issues that affect its citizens. But No! Our leaders are busy preparing for 2015 election and don't care if all the female children in the northern part are abducted or if all conductors lives are taken because of =N=500. What a shame and disheartening country.

  44. WOW! REALLY NOT SURPRISED. STILL DON'T KNOW WHY HE DID THAT TO HIS WIFE THOUGH!

  45. xxx....miss LINDA, domestic violence is not good I agree, but there should be a LAW first that states the limit a woman can insult or disrespect a man. Women want to say anything to a man and still want to get away with it. NONSENSE... Man is the head. No woman should raise her voice at her husband, then the domestic violence punishment can take effect. .. DONT disrespect me, and have ur freedom else I slap you. PERIOD....xxxx

    1. You are obviously an insecure man, why would u marry an insultive woman... Does your boss who is the head of your office slap you for coming late. She insults u, insult her back or be a man and sort it out with out violence. No woman will insult a man she respects and no man will hit a woman he loves.

  46. BONARIOO, am sure u're not married. Get married and see how annoying women can be.

example: a couple go out and the man says he's given her the last money in his hand abt 11pm. By say 7am next morning when they are going out, the lady will say honey, please can I have some money say just 3000 till you have money to give me later. so annoying !!.... ok did he go to the ATM in his dream? or in the middle of the night? woman are quite STUPID in the way they talk.----KAKA

Awww...I will truly miss you Harrison! Take care of yourself. I am not judgmental nor was I there. There are always 3 sides to every story. Her side, his side, and somewhere in the middle is the truth. So I pray that all of this will be resolved and I pray for favor for you Columbus! Take care and I hope we see you again soon!
