15 out of the 103 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram men escape

According to reports, 15 out of the 100+ girls kidnapped Monday night by Boko Haram men, at Girls Government School, Chibok, Borno state, have escaped.

The girls were said to have made their escape when one of the lorries used in transporting them broke down along the road. The girls jumped down from the lorry and ran into the bush around them.

One of the girls who fled told AFP that they escaped when the men were trying to fix the vehicle.
"They tried to fix it. It was at this moment that some of us jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the bush". Continue...
Meanwhile reports say Military personnel are currently combing the bushes in Borno state, using the trye tracks of the vehicles used by the Boko Harm men.

According to Senator Ali Ndume, the senator representing the region in the senate house, surveillance helicopters have also been employed in the search patrol team
"They are now combing the forest to rescue the girls. They are being aided by surveillance helicopters" he said.

  29. It only God that can save us. This is where corruption has led to. If the resources of this grate nation as been properly utilized having the future of Nigerian in the past 10 to 40 years ago. The reverse of what we are seen will have been the case now. All our leaders and fathers have offended this present generation. It only God, the Righteous Judge can vindicate us. The fathers ate the fruits the children mouths tasted sore. God have mercy.

  47. Dis mumu senator should just shut-up. Linda you are also putting the lives of those girls at risk with this story because if the Boko guys did not know this before, well you just informed them to be on the lookout for surveillance helicopters. Now they'll just cover the truck with leaves and also wipe the tire tracks as far back as possible.
    MUMU people!

  60. Where were the surveilance helicopters 2mins after the girls were abducted? Or is there no response time with our trillion naira military budget.

100 human beings kidnapped at once? Nigerian military must be kidding me. I sense delibrate sabotage of Nigeria's security.

Somebody somewhere is out to frustrate Jonathan and government at the expense of territorial safety of lives and property.....Too bad humans are behaving like animals.
