According to reports, 15 out of the 100+ girls kidnapped Monday night by
Boko Haram men, at Girls Government School,
Chibok, Borno state, have escaped.
The girls were said to have made their
escape when one of the lorries used in
transporting them broke down along the road. The girls jumped down from the lorry and ran into the bush
around them.
One of the girls who fled told AFP that they escaped when the men were trying to fix the vehicle.
Meanwhile reports say Military personnel are currently combing the bushes in Borno state, using the trye tracks of the vehicles used by the Boko Harm men.
According to Senator Ali Ndume, the senator representing the region in the senate house, surveillance
helicopters have also been employed in the search patrol team
"They are now combing the forest to rescue the girls. They are being aided by surveillance helicopters" he said.
