I'm actually not surprised...A colleague of mine here in the UK never heard of Nigeria, let alone know that its one of the biggest countries in Africa. When i said i'm a Nigerian, she said "where is that, are you gonna take the train?" i just shook my head. Their government gives them free education, yet many of them refuse to go to school instead prefer to be home-schooled, work part-time jobs and receive their stipend at the end of the month. as they say "The man with the cap has no head while the one with the head has no cap..." #sigh
