Over the past two years,
CcHub has worked with aspiring tech entrepreneurs who are finding interesting
ways to address social issues in Nigeria in areas such as governance,
education, trade, water, extractives and entertainment. It has become clear
that once these tools are created, the next critical step towards scalability
is to connect with end users. The aim of MX Lab is to help enhance the quality
of local digital solutions; improve customer satisfaction; and accelerate smart
application of technology.
On its raison d’ĂȘtre, Bosun Tijani,
Managing Partner CChub has this to say:
“The Mobile Apps Experience Lab, MxLab is
really about bringing the end users with the app developers or content
creators. We have discovered that app developers don’t necessarily understand
how their users want to experience what they want to provide for them.
Its one thing that you are building an app
that people want use, but the question is how they want to use them. This
project essentially provides a platform for engagement with the target audience
in the process of building that solution across all the stages of development –
before you start, when you have an alpha version, and or a beta version, you
are continuously collecting feedback even after you have launched in the
market.
This is something that we believe is
currently missing in Nigeria and if our mobile applications are going to go
viral, we need to consider users and that’s what the MxLab is setup to achieve.
MTN is the platinum sponsor for this
project and have enabled it to happen for which we are forever grateful.”
