Madamenoire.com reports...
The Scottsdale, Ariz. native was arrested after she left her young sons in a hot SUV that was locked with the windows cracked as she went for a job interview at an insurance company. A passerby heard Taylor’s youngest child crying and called police. When they arrived, Taylor returned to her car 45 minutes after police got to the scene, and when police arrested her, the two boys were reportedly “crying and sweating profusely.” Taylor told police that she was homeless and needed the work, and because she couldn’t find someone to watch her kids, she had to take them with her. This event occurred on March 20. Continue...The response to her story has been split, with some people saying that while she did make a mistake, she was simply trying to find work to feed her kids. Others say, she left two kids in a hot car, it’s wrong, dangerous, and she should have known better. Well, those in support of Taylor have actually set up a fundraising campaign on YouCaring.com to help raise money for Taylor and her kids, who are in the custody of Child Protective Services at this time as she awaits charges. The goal was only $9,000, which according to the person who set up the fundraising campaign, Amanda Bishop, would be put into an account for her family. However, the fundraiser has brought in a whopping $63,000.
Taylor is still in jail while her children remain in protective custody.
Was she wrong to leave her kids in the car to go look for a job? What's your thoughts on this?
100% wrong. What happen to babysiiters? Don't risk lives over yeye job
ReplyDeleteIlliterate.babysitter where?she's homeless and doesn't have a job.
DeleteUr a fool.... She's jobless and homeless... Did u give her money for babysitters?!
DeleteYou dumb ass piece of shit, didn't you read that there was noone she could drop them with? You're here asking why a homeless woman didn't drop them with a babysitter wouldn't she pay the babysitter? Dumb fack
DeleteSo wrong, babysitter na money na, jah help her
DeleteNaijaSinger who wants a private Jet in exchange for her vir'ginity
@ these two anonymous. Both of you are ignorant. And I'm sure you haven't stepped out of your village before to see how things gets done in america. There are home babysitters and cost only $20 a day. She couldnt afford a babysitter but she could afford to put gas in her car. Don't hide under anonymous when next you wanna yab me. Bastards! Cowards!
DeleteShey you will help her babysit? Did you even read the story?
DeleteMumu u no dey see say she no get money! Abi na ur teeth she wan take pay sitter?
DeleteWhy so dumb though... search for the meaning of babysitters before you post rubbish. They need to be paid and if one doesnt have the money then one cant enjoy their services
DeleteReal illiterate. Didn't u read d write up. U just wan comment abi. Olodo oshi
DeleteYer it is wrong, but she has no choice, biko free d woman!!!!
Delete#GIFTEDhands
All i have to ask is"did they arrest the father of those kids for lacking in his duty to provide for his children???"
DeleteWhere does Linda find some clowns on this blog sef? Babysitter for $20 a day.....#claimingtohaveleffhisvillage
Delete@ogeaussie.. how much do they babysit in your village. .bitch
DeleteI can't believe these morons are here hiding under anony saying what they don't know. You fools need to come here and see real poor ppl. You can't own a car if you are poor in america, cos the insurance alone is killing. Moreso, she's getting money for these two kids from govt. So what did she do with their money. Abeg make una shut the hell and don't yab your father next time. SILENT IS NOT AN ANSWER TO BULLIES!
DeleteOga gerrout, itk oshi... silent? You are a big fooool
DeleteSo Sad.. I pity her poor life..
ReplyDeleteMy observation about you, ur sooooooo damn rude and annoying. Why would u call someone else's life poor? I just feel like giving you a dirty slap.
DeleteThis is soo sad, I just feel like crying rite now. So sorry dear
ReplyDeleteTruly sad.. I think some of the laws in America are too stringent on small things. Am not saying she was right to leave her kids in the car, but jailing her is too extreme
ReplyDeleteWhat u saying? Small things? Those kids could have fucking died. Months ago in the U.S same thing happened. The little boy died while his mom was in the grocery store. What about the white lady in the same U S again, who left her two kids in the car while her bf fucked her in another car in d same car park? Her kids died too..so don't go there. But I pity her bcos she was left with no choice. She was only trying to survive.
DeleteAt least takin then with u and allowing them wait ib the lobby or with the receptionist wud do,and if they dont agree leave then in the car park in a safe enviroment, put on.the radio, roll.down the glasses and go abt ur biz,
ReplyDeleteSo u fink Yankee is 9ja where ppl can go 2 work wit deir kids or even leave dem in d care of receptionists or orderlies? Over there, u r strictly on ur own oh!
DeleteU v a point, but turning on d radio will mean leaving d key in d ignition. And rolling down d shield with minors in it is even worse than what she did. I feel she shd v jux looked for a fam member or church to keep them with for d time being
DeleteIts obvious from your comment that you've never been out of the country.
DeleteU don't even hv a clue. U think yankee has fences and yards etc that randomly go round buildings. Besides u don't even understand the charge. So u think she would not hv been charged if the windows were down and she had the radio on. Ur advice shows u wld hv been jailed if u were in the same situation
DeleteShe didn't really look for who to help her take care of her kids else she would have gotten one. It was a dangerous thing she did but jailing her is out of it for me.
ReplyDeleteIf you leave in the US you'd understand that its possible noone wanted to help take care of her kids. Its not like naija were you can drop your lids with neighbours and friends or family. Totally different lifestyle there
Deleteyou are an idiot. Americans dont help. If you are dying, instead helping you, they will take pictures and post on youtube
DeleteFirst off, u obviously hv not been to or know america to assume there must b someone and she didn't just look for
DeleteYea §hε̲̅ was wrong to leave †ђξ children in †ђξ car but there was notin else for her to do. ₪o options.
ReplyDeleteHonestly its tough. Those kinna things that are easy to dismiss as wrong until you find yourself in her shoes.
ReplyDeleteshe never meant any harm she was only trying to get the job so as to sustain themselves y would she be jailed oyibo too wicked sha
ReplyDelete#milito da great#
What did she do wrong fuck americans #bright bravo#
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwww....so sad,it was a mistake! Nobody to leave d kids with, am sure she cudnt afford to put on d AC in her car..things mothers go thru cos of dier children
ReplyDeleteShe deserve's what she got, those children could have died you know.
ReplyDeleteI bet ur mama never droped a tear Fᵒʳ U̶̲̥̅̊ xo U̶̲̥̅̊ can kum hia nd judge other wifout clear reasoning! *mumu*
DeleteInsensitivity...Thank God u r just a mortal. A lot of pple in nigeria will b in jail if they lived in america
DeleteSweet, loving and caring mum thats what she is, some people would have ran away but she prefer to catter for children... They should free her abeg, beside her intentions wasnt bad at all..... What about in some cases were some women will leave their children in the car to go and attend to men or gossip with frnds, hers was about a job which in turn will help her and her children..... Free her abeg...

Firstly Arizona State's weather is HOT it can climb up 100 degrees plus. So yes she is wrong because they can suffocate or get sun burned.
ReplyDeleteIf i was in her position i would walk into that interview with the children, and look the interviewer in the eye and say: AM SORRY I DO NOT HAVE HELP, NEITHER A JOB TO PAY FOR BABY SITTING.
Please can i have them here while you interview me. The highest that can happen is they will go into a conference room with enough space for the interview, and they will try to entertain the kids.... or the INTERVIEWER will say NO. then that will reflect bad on the company....
You think with your anus. No employer I repeat no employer would welcome you with children for an interview. Once they see that they would conclude that she wouldn't have enough time for her job and as such not suitable for the position
DeleteYeah right and of course the 'bad reflection' on the company that says no will really help her pay her bills. You are of course free to criticise her actions but in doing so you should come up with a practical alternative suggestion.
DeleteEver one knows best with d benefit of hindsight. Yes it gets hot and it was not d best decidion. But those sentiments don't really hold here. Besides she may hv been desperate and probably ton her kids to some other interviews and was overlooked thus her decision to do or sooner other way. Now 2yrs and 6months old kids. Really !!!! mk baby sitters of the workers during biz hours
DeleteWrong, they wouldn't have died because she left the windows a crack...meaning she wound down a little.
DeleteSupported, 100%, she should have walked in with those babies!!! She's still a very loving mum though. I guess the trauma of homelessness and joblessness, with two babies and evidently with no other person to help, overwhelmed her and she acted the way she did.
There was a similar story about a woman that left her kids in a hot car to sleep with her boyfriend, these children died oh, so regardless of what she left them to do, it was ignorant on her part and she shud hv known better, I think they shud show some leniency and warn her , or put her on community service.
ReplyDeleteno she wasnt wrong at all. like she said, apparently she is homeless and she had no option. besides she went away for a job interview.
ReplyDeleteIt is not wrong. In their society, the level of dependency is too high, that it would be almost impossible for her to get somebody to babysit without payment. Just depends on the angle you see it for, but she left them for a greater good.
ReplyDeleteSo sad she should have taken the kids along and drop them with the receptionist.
ReplyDeleteAnd we were told the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man,but in this case it failed to see reasons with the common man.
ReplyDeleteIts quite an unfortunate situation, but justice should have been tempered with mercy
~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA3310
I pity her and i can not judge her since i have not walked in her shoes but why did she not wind down the windows at least half way cos they could have suffocated in the car.and that would have been another kasala for her
ReplyDeleteGood intentions, but sooo wrong. Just last month a woman left her son in the car pack in Agboju, Festac, ran into d market to pick up somethings, she came back n met her son dead. U don't do that. These kids wud have died, she came back 45 mins after d police rescued d kids.
ReplyDeleteAgboju get car park?
DeleteYes agboju get car park
DeleteAbeg Agboju no get car park abegggg
DeleteAs much as her motive may be right and her struggle is well understood, the action is extremely risky and such to be condemned. She shouldn't have been thrown to jail tho
ReplyDeleteShe lives in the US , she aware of the law.
ReplyDeleteIt was wrong for her to do that.Bt she wudnt have if she had a means of survival.
ReplyDeleteWell it's comforting to learn that a campaign has been set up to raise funds for her.
Haaaaaaaaa..bad idea...over risk to leave kids in the car esp toddlers..no matter what..it is sooo wrong..she's nt justified.
ReplyDeleteplease forgive her...poverty is a disease and a curse it will make u loose ur senses just when u need them the most..may God not allow us see poverty that will make us get into jail cos thats the worst thing that can ever happen to any man...after hungry come jails...olorun maje...
ReplyDeleteplease forgive her...poverty is a disease and a curse it will make u loose ur senses just when u need them the most..may God not allow us see poverty that will make us get into jail cos thats the worst thing that can ever happen to any man...after hungry come jails...olorun maje...
ReplyDeleteHer story is touching. She wasn't wrong at all, she would have been back from the interview before any harm could have occurred. CHARLES.
ReplyDeletethe person who set up the fundraising campaign, Amanda Bishop, would be put into an account for her family.
ReplyDeletesee south african representative daughter sex tape pics leak online!!
Sometimes this council people sucks. Am sure they turned her away instead of housing her and her kids. The govt owe her a duty of that but to leave her kids in the car is very absurd those kids could be kidnaped or killed She sure needs financial help
ReplyDeleteAs much as i sympathize with her those kids would have died if d cops had not arrived, wen dey did. its absolutely wrong of her to live d kids in d car alone.
ReplyDeleteIf na white na dem nor go jail her ooO,she wz only lukin 4 a way 2 feed d kids even tho she is wrng..
ReplyDeleteI empathize with her, but her action was wrong. We should apply common sense always. She should have made arrangement in advance for cheap daycare or even a family to watch the kids.
ReplyDeleteI had goose pimples all over my body while reading this. It's not her fault, she was left with no choice. May God see her through.
ReplyDeleteIt's a really heart breaking story, what choice did she have? I'd ask about her family and knowing how Americans can be about family, I figure no need. She did what she needed to do unfortunately it put her children in jeopardy.
ReplyDeleteAs for me oooo aunty linda she is not wrong where did dey want her to keep her children she doesn't need to b jailed nw na ends meet she dey find
ReplyDeleteGod moves in mysterious ways. He has used an unfortunate incident like this to provide much needed finances for her.
ReplyDeleteLindaaaa, she was sooooo wrong. What if nobody has heard their cries and rescued them, they would have been dead by the time she s done with the interview. Smh for her. Am a woman also and with 2 kids, i put my kids first b4 any other thing.
ReplyDeleteIn america? she deserves to be jailed. She knows better. People have left kids in there homes to go and get grocery and got jailed not to talk of a flipping car, children sweating profusely, is she kidden me? she deserves it and more. she could have taken the children to a child minder or social services. she is an average woman for her to have a car.
ReplyDeletei wont blame her o. Its not easy bin a single mother of two. God bless our mothers for d struggle dey go tru to raise a child
ReplyDeleteThis western society where people don't look out for each other. I cannot answer that question.
ReplyDeletevery sad, and of course it was wrong but we live in desperate times and we have to survive. She was unlucky and you cant ask a two year old and six month old to not cry or suffocate whilst mummy goes for her interview so that was bad judgment on her part. The worst thing is maybe she could of gotten help if she just asked, alot of the time our pride stops us from asking for help that will be better in the long run and get into problems as a result. I wish the best for her and can't judge too much as I wasnt in her desperate situation.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad for her. The US, as much as it could be a land of opportunities, can also be a difficult place to live. Imagine not having someone to drop her kids with! but a 6-mth old baby must have a father na!! haba!
ReplyDeleteQuite a difficult situation to comment on; flip side though, those children could have died of exhaustion.
Mnwile Linda, abeg show d UNILAG in you next time: It's "What are your thoughts OR What is your thought" biko, thank me later.
One door closes, another one opens. She"ll just be fine. I'm sure it was an honest mistake and this was all in the name of making ends meet for her kids..she did that all innocent I'm sure. However, innocence is not an excuse for ignorance, especially when it's dangerous. That being said, I'm not in support of the jail thing. Anyway, this too shall pass and yassss to the money. God bless and comfort her :). I usually don't even comment but I feel sorry for her. The mugshot is heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteLinda, seriously somtyms u can't say Wats right or wrong if u hav not found ursef in similar situation,4rm a lawyer point of view,I will say it was wrng but on the ther hand ,speaking 4rm d point of view of ssomone who knws wats its lik 2 stay 24hrs without food,I wil say she did wat she has 2 do 2 put food on d table,am sori.linda @ dat tym she wasn't tinkig straight, but she dare!but who knwsthe said action brought $60,000,linda life can b daring...
ReplyDeleteShe needs the job so bad but she needs her kids alive too! They cld hv suffocate and die in the car.

ReplyDeleteOrisa bi iya kosi laye...
ReplyDeleteD idea is quite bad and dangerous buh she mean no harn.Feel sorry 4 her.
ReplyDeleteThis is the negative effect if capitalism
ReplyDeleteShe shouldn't have left the kids in the hot car for job interview but looking from the other angle she is also in search of greener pasture for the family. I think she should be pardoned.
ReplyDeleteReally pity d poor woman !!!
ReplyDeletetotally confused
ReplyDeleteShe would have look for someone to hold her children while going for.the interview. What of of the children had died before she came out from the job? I understand her very much, she got to search for money for the children bit at the same time consider the children health. God only save those children
ReplyDeleteThis touched me so much. I donated
ReplyDeleteNa so God wan take help her now,$63k or wetin I see so?
ReplyDeleteShe was very very wrong. Her kids should be the first priority no matter what and she could've arranged for a childminder or even a family friend to look after them while she was out. I live in the Uk and I arrange that for my kids it doesn't cost much. Leaving them inside the car is being heartless I can't support that.
ReplyDeleteShe was completely wrong 4 leaving them in a hot car.they could die b4 her return.nd this was done b'cos of them.if she had got job nd d children died d job would become useless.
ReplyDeleteIt really is heartbreaking. She obviously is a resilient mother trying to fend for her kids. Like they say; desperate times call for desperate measures.
ReplyDeleteeyaa, i pity her ooo, she shouldnt be jailed her kids needs her.
ReplyDeleteShe was absolutely wrong, sometimes we do d right thing in a very wrong way. There was a similar incident early dis year n in dat case the children died. However they should tamper justice with mercy.
ReplyDeleteShe was completely wrong 4 leaving them in a hot car.they could die b4 her return.nd this was done b'cos of them.if she had got job nd d children died d job would become useless.
ReplyDeleteIs not wrong but she could av wined the glass a little down for ventilation or even look for som1 2 tak kia of s children since it is a day interview
ReplyDeleteGood motives, wrong actions. Instead of prosecuting her, they should help her find a job! Lili pls post my comment oh! Thanz!
ReplyDeleteIt is wrong...she could have dropped them at a motherless babies home. And come back for them later. But atleast she's better than the woman who left her kids to go get yanshed.
ReplyDeleteShe was wrong to leave them in the car,but she had the best intention at heart
ReplyDeleteLinda lindodo my name sake, na stale news be this one now! Well sha, I fell the girl pain but a lot of factors which I don't want to kno, so I donate small to the foundation to help her cos me sef had to go stay shelter for 5months. From there I was able to move on with my life. As a single mother in this country, it's not easy cos u can hardly ever find anyone to help u watch ur kids wen u have to go somewhere important that isn't child friendly. Daycares are expensive n u can't leave ur baby there more that certain num of hours a day.
ReplyDeleteEvery law must make an exception she was desperate so she should have been given community service to do n allowed to go. She should ave found someone to take care of them but then that cost money too dsnt it? Damned if u do damned if u dnt. Tk God for oyibo pple wey sabi donate share.
ReplyDeleteShe desrved it.its better than "had I know".made me remember the story of a woman who left her kids in the car while making luv with her lover.the end was tragic!
ReplyDeleteWrong becos d kids culd have died from the heat ....bt she wuld have even taken d kids to the job interview and kept them wt or @ d reception where people or the front desk wuld have watched over dem...bt the sentence s too harsh cos its just the love of a mother tryin to feed and raise her kids ! She shud be released and given shelter .@least she no kill or drown dem like their white counterparts usually do ...
ReplyDeleteTo me nobody is perfect and nobody is above mistake. Pls for the sake of 6 mnths baby and 2 yr child let the court gv her bail. The more they keep her, the more those kids miss her.
ReplyDeleteshe was wrong but didn't mean any harm. poor woman, maybe this will change her story for good
ReplyDeleteShe was very wrong but was not intentional.
ReplyDeleteNot her fault tho
ReplyDeletewhat do my or your thoughts matter?
ReplyDeleteWat wld u v ha do?she was right wrong lol sad tho!
ReplyDeleteYet we blame Nigerian Government, what else do u expect her to do
ReplyDeletePut them in a daycare centre that she can't afford?
This is just a twisted situation#
ReplyDeleteA law that does not protect the weak is no law! A law that has no mercy is no law and a law against being upright is no law. She has not resorted to prostitution but she has gone to look for work to feed her kids. If i were the judge I will probably arrest the father of the children for not providing child care! useless ruling. I am annoyed!
ReplyDeleteShe was wrong, but she had no child care. If she had the funds for a baby sitter she would have used them. A job would have been her only way out. Sad on all fronts. Catch 22.
ReplyDeletein as much as she left them in the car for a job interview,i thought what she did was wrong and right because she could have found an alternative to her action or probably get the job without anybody noticing .i believe she will come out of this situation a richer and better person
ReplyDeleteSo sad! The feeling of Care and Carelessness can bring sweet n sour moments in life. Her ability to care for her children and the carelessness that followed the process.
ReplyDeleteShe was wrong, but they should give her a written warning
ReplyDeleteWomen are very very strong.
ReplyDeleteShe went through 9 months labour to bring forth those children and still labour to make sure they are ok.
I don't blame her at all.
She was wrong but she is not a criminal
ReplyDelete§ђξ was wrong! †̥ђα̲̅†̥ was exactly H̶̲̥̅̊ọ̥w̶̲̥̅̊ †̥ђα̲̅†̥ woman †̥ђα̲̅†̥ locked her children up i̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ Ʈђε̲̣̣̣ car aΏ̶̲̣̣̥d̶̲̥̅̊ went †Φ have sex with her lover killed her children. ReplyDeleteYes she was wrong, Linda what kind of dumb question are you asking?. They could have died from heat. Mtewww
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong in what she has done, she was only looking for job to feed them.
ReplyDeleteThe question is 'What was the intent? was it to make them suffer ? No it wasnt. She probably had no choice at that moment being homeless and desperately wanting a job. Obviously, its not the best thing she could have done, but as she didnt mean to make them suffer, she should probably be let off with a slap on her wrist...
ReplyDeleteThe choices parents have to make. I hope she's reunited with her children soon.
ReplyDeleteThough she was trying to find an ends meet for her kids but she was wrong on the other hand cuz she shouldn't have left those kids under a hot weather, she should have find a cool place and put them inside the car. They should temper justice with mercy, its her kids anyway.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you go just de ask anyhow question. Yes she was wrong to leave those kids in the car. They are far too young to stay on their own sef. What if they had died or something? Did you not hear of the one that went to have sex with her bobo and came back to see her kids dead? Though she went for a just cos, but at the same time it was still thoughtless of her sha. Hope they end up releasing the kids for her sha.
ReplyDeleteIts a hard one though..she shld have tried to look for somwhere sha..Poverty is everywhere, its jst so evident in some parts of the world.Am really soory for her
ReplyDeleteWhen you born your own, u fit leave them inside car go inside go blog story for us, you hear?
ReplyDeleteI won't blame her dat much cos we don't know her condition.
ReplyDeleteshe wrong naa. haba inside heat faa!!! but make dem tamper mercy with justices...
ReplyDeleteThe woman had no choice.. It isn't her fault .. She probably thought the interview wouldn't tk time
ReplyDeleteeiya atleast sumfn gud has come out of it...money is now being raised for her nd d kids...it was dangerous leavn dem in a hot car sha
ReplyDeleteIts not wrong, she looks so hurt. I pray they release her, so she'd take care of her kids and with the funds that has been raised, she'd be able to buy a home and feed her family, and of course get a good job! Talk about dissappointment being a blessing!
ReplyDeleteshe should be pardoned.
ReplyDeleteIts not wrong, she looks so hurt. I pray they release her, so she'd take care of her kids and with the funds that has been raised, she'd be able to buy a home and feed her family, and of course get a good job! Talk about dissappointment being a blessing!
ReplyDeleteSHES WRONG FOR LEAVING HER KIDS IN THE CAR,WHAT IF THEY'VE SOFFOCATED AND DIE IN THE CAR EHN,WEL WE THANK GOD ANYWAY,THEY SHOULD FREE HER FROM JAIL CUZ SHES A REAL AND GOOD MOTHER ON LIKE OTHER BAD MOTHER, THATSITUATION ALONE IS ANOUGH FOR THEM TO THROW THE CHILD IN MOTHERLESS BABY HOME OR ABANDON THE KIDS,BUT SHES NOT THAT TYPE OF MOTHER,SHES A GOOD MOTHER THEY SHOULD HAVE PITY ON HER PLSSSSSSS
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing she can do they should help her out pls
ReplyDeleteWhile its dangerous locking her kids in the hot Suv, she needed the job to cater for these kids too.
ReplyDeleteBleSsing--- I feel for her and I also understood that all she did was for the good of her kids too but she was not really thinking by leaving them in d car. They could have been suffocated. I pray the court tamper justice with mercy and for everyone who has come to their aid by raising fund to support them, their pocket will never run dry
ReplyDeleteIt wrong but wat were her optns... pple do it in naija all the time remember when we were growing up....
ReplyDeleteAmerica is a tough place with nobody caring
I'm telling you, they would leave us in the car and wind the windows down a little, we could be there for 2hrs. Doubt if the kids were crying because of the heat(the window was slightly wound down and one of the windows was cracked) I think they were crying because their mom was nowhere in sight
DeleteThere's no right or wrong in this matter. She was desperate that's the only reason she left them in the car.yes leaving kids in a locked car is very dangerous, she knew that and that's why she lefts the windows open just a bit. I cannot condemn her because I don't know what its like to be homeless with 2 little kids. If she had a choice she wouldn't have taken that route. I pray things work out for her and her kids. #heartbrokenforyoudearstranger
ReplyDeleteSooo wrong! 6months n a 2years old! She will never get over d shock if anything had happen to dem. And den again she needed d job .... wldnt do dt for anything in d world, better still will go into d interview room with dem... i feel for her
ReplyDeleteThat is the problem wit we human. When pple around us needs us most, that's wen we fail them. Now some brainless, selfish beings are castigating her. If you were in her shoe wat will you do? Think twice b4 judging others!
ReplyDeleteThey shuld at least av pity on her dat she's homeless and dt to cater for d children was d reason she went for an interview.
ReplyDeleteWatching her teary face cracked my bones. Tears glistened my face and uncontrollably rolled down my cheeks...Gosh, am I this emotional!?
ReplyDeleteShe was wrong but I believe she didn't mean no harm.
Mothers are special, good ones though.
What is your thought on this or what are your thoughts on this.......stop falling my hand na, no be english major u be?
ReplyDeleteWhat about the father of the boys who abandoned them with this poor woman? What has police done to the man who is irresponsible and cannot even provide for the woman? Her intentions are good but her approach was wrong in a civilized country sha. If na naija nobody send u sef. They should 4 give her jare.
ReplyDeleteLinda biko post my comment o! Ugwanu
ReplyDeleteThis story reminds me of the movie "Good Deeds"
ReplyDeleteIt wrong bt its for a good reason
ReplyDeleteIts like the movie 'Good Deeds' its not fair. When you are down on your luck and its like the world has conspired against you.
ReplyDeleteI cant say what she should have done different. And i know people would say she should have begged someone to help, it doesn't always work out that way.
Shelters wont help either they molest people there at night.
Its just Sad.
very verry wrong of het.didnt she think of d safety of d children afterall she is looking for dat job to feed d children.mothers love!
ReplyDeleteOjai says" no matter what, she was wrong. There were different alternative she would have done. Either droppong them with a friend becos I knw the interview won't take long. Those are her blood, given by God, if something had happened to them nko?
ReplyDeleteShe wrong to leave them on the car.. Twas totally dangerous someone could have taken them away but she had to take the risk just for them still so I don't blame her ..pray she's released soon *Nkey*
ReplyDeleteYea, they could hve died from suffocation
ReplyDeleteShe wrong to leave them in the car.. Twas totally dangerous someone could have taken them away but she had to take the risk just for them still so I don't blame her ..pray she's released soon *Nkey*
ReplyDeleteeyah what a pity but she shuldnt av locked d windows so as 2 allow fresh air for d young guys, I pray God'll help her sha
ReplyDeleteBeing homeless or jobless is no excuse to endanger the life of those innocent kids, the life of those kids cannot be quantified, I jst cnt imagine a 6mths baby in such situation.
ReplyDeleteYh, d kids were too young 2 be left unsupervised esp in dat condition, but it's kinda turned 2 a blessing, cos 63k is a alotta cash
ReplyDeleteI tink she shld do community work as punishmt. D child systems breeds molestatn, drugs, hate. D kidz belong wit d mum. Just sayin...D Curious1
ReplyDeleteNo. It was for d interest of d kids please. They should release her unconditional.
ReplyDeleteSo funny how she doesn't have a home but does have a car. Misplaced priorities. But I think all she got was love for her kids and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
ReplyDeletePoor mum. Similar thing happened to me too .had to attend a work focus interview at jobcentre plus couldn't get a baby sitter had to leave my kids with a total stranger god help us single mums.
ReplyDeleteShe's wrong in doing that because she knows the law of America, and besides that, she locked up the kids in d car! Dangerous move right there. We all know she's trying to make ends meet but not at the extent of putting the kids life at risk. I feel bad for her tho but she could have dropped the kids with a family member to watch over them. I hope she can get out of jail and take care of her kids
ReplyDeleteShe was so wrong leaving those kids in d car! She could have gone into d office with them! Sorry this happened to her! If its here in Nigeria, nobody cares! I wonder when we will get to this level of being security conscious!
ReplyDeleteThe useless father/s of her children should have stepped in to watch the children while the mother job hunts.
ReplyDeleteJust my 10 cents opinion.
Obviously majority of the people commenting here have never lived in the States, so I am not surprised by the comments. Here is what she could have done:
ReplyDelete1. Every State in the USA has a program for single parents without a job that covers daycare, housing, food and handout to cater for domestic needs. Did she apply for this and was denied?
2. She could have walked into that interview with her kids.
In United States, law has no sympathy and that's why the country will continue to grow higher. You cannot hide under sentiments to cover up wrongdoing.

I don't think you Nigerians understand the expression "windows are cracked" which means they were open. Also if you suggested she got a babysitter I'm just going to assume you skipped over the part that said "homeless" if you think if she can in any way, shape, or form afford help. She came back after 45 minutes also. Jailing her, separating her from her children, keeping those kids in the highly dehumanizing foster care system is literally setting those kids up for failure and much pain and trauma in life. We need to stop condemning black women for non violent crimes. This woman needs a lot of things and being put behind bars is not one of them. Also now that she has a criminal record, finding a decent job is literally out of the question. Sad sad
ReplyDeleteChill guys.....she's homeless and she rides a SUV!.???!! I'm thinking...+Linda post my comment oorrrrr......
ReplyDeleteShe is right but she should have at least opened the window a little bit for ventilation. All of you asking what about baby sitter? Biko do you think baby sitting is free? mind you it is way too expensive than you think plus its very hard to put your child in other people's custody because the society we have now ehn...perverts. Again, whre the fuck is the baby father? mehn girls suppose close Toto oh
ReplyDeleteOMG! Feel so much for her, poor woman.
ReplyDeleteShe was totally wrong I like d punishment they gave 2 her, nd dose of u who said she was nt wrong u all re fools
ReplyDeleteShe was totally wrong I like d punishment they gave 2 her, nd dose of u who said she was nt wrong u re a fools
ReplyDeleteThis story is repeated every day. Poverty kills!
ReplyDeleteThis story brought tears to my eyes, i didnt know when tears came out :( i understand how difficult it is for her, but she was wrong to leave her kids in the car with the hot weather condition. I hope she get out of this case real soon. Www.hotnaijaparties.com
ReplyDeleteI will give now, just because she tried her best to make ends meet. I encourage people to do the same. She went about it the wrong way but I believe that something positive can come out of this. She is indeed a fighter. God bless her.
ReplyDeletePoor woman. She shld have taken them to the venue of the interview.
ReplyDeleteSorry dear, but where is your husband, sorry your baby father.
ReplyDeleteShe was completely wrong. What if d children had died of suffocation by d time she came back . Doesn't she have relatives like mother.. Sisters...or even friends or church member to leave d babies with. Sometimes I don't understand thz oyibos nd their lone lives.
ReplyDeleteWhy will some one who have never travel out from Nigeria blame her?
ReplyDeleteshe is homeless, dont have money to pay babysit,or do u think dat western world are like Nigeria u have all families around you?
in Europe ur even mother will demand money from u too.or it depend if de government are supporting her nd pays her kids monthly
HEYA, SHE SHOULD BE FORGIVEN.
ReplyDeleteShe's Homeless and she has a Car? How does she pay for Gas to fill up her tank? Too bad for her, they might even take her kids away from her!
ReplyDeleteIts funny hw u guys are sayin she's wrong...ders no hw she will enter d office with does kids n still get d job, funny but true in nigeria leaving ur child inside d car is a very normal tin
ReplyDeleteLet them help her get something doing putting her inside jail is not the best way
ReplyDeleteIt was wrong of her to leave her kids alone in the car. Here's why: it's spring time already, and the weather is getting real hot. which means that her kids could die from suffocation and heat inhalation. leaving them by themselves also gives room for child abduction. Though it wasn't a deliberate act from her, I think she should be granted a bail, and given back her kids.
ReplyDeleteShe did everything wrong. Those kids could have died.in dt car if the police hadn't come the time they did. What if she comes out from d interview to see d dead bodies of those kids in d car
ReplyDeleteShe is very, very, very, very wrong. Her story may be in defense. even if she is homeless, what if the children die before she comes back? how then would she spend the earning from the job? may be for their burial. Tufiakwa! she is wrong
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY AGREE WITH OFFICIAL BADOO.
ReplyDeleteEyaaaa sory bt i dont take ur ideal at all, u could av taking dem to reception
ReplyDeleteHomeless but she get car, well what she did is totally wrong coa does kids could ve died, dont they hear other peoples experience, but still pity her though
ReplyDeleteThis official badoo is daft. What part of homeless don't you understand? Someone is homeless, you are asking for babysitter? Na wa for stupidity o
ReplyDeleteWhat she did was wrong, you have to look at it from perspective of if she had any family, she wouldn't be homeless, and if you also look at the fact that you can't just walk up to anyone to look after your kids bcos homeless people only really know other homeless people some of who maybe drug addicts. With all the child molestation that happens she couldn't have just left those kids
This brought tears to my eyes bcos as much as she would have preferred to keep those kids safe, she had to get a job to take her out of her homeless position.
How do you know if the place she went for job interview had somewhere the kids could have stayed or if they would have allowed her bring the kids in, or if she tot taking those kids to the venue would have disqualified her?
I know the children could have died from heat but the window was cracked open so that someone couldn't just stick their hand in and steal the kids - Abi you haven't heard of pile kidnapping kids abroad?)
It's undeniable she was wrong, but I do feel her plight. I hope she is released and that they give her custody of those children
There is so much atrocities against women. I tot the law should favor the weak. This woman was desperate in looking for a job and that is what the law should consider that it was deliberate.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the husband of the woman????
to be a single mother is not easy, to get a job too is not easy. no employer will want to see u with kids at first sight. first impression matters. but she wud hv left them in the car with the glasses down, risky though, inshort no better way except someone is taking care of them.they need to consider her. #sosadrightnow#
ReplyDeletevia official intercom
It is sad all around but my question is this: did they just call her for the job the same day? I think not! She would have known about the job interview in advance so she could have found someone to take the children for a few hours while she went to the job interview. She can't tell me she has NO friends, no family members, she knows NOBODY that can watch the kids for an hour, where are the children's father?
ReplyDeleteThere is absolutely no excuse for leaving those children in the car by themselves in the heat, no excuse! Arizona wey be sey temperature fit reach 106 degrees?
The law is too harsh in America, I think they should be merciful as she went for interview to be able to feed the children not to meet a boyfriend. Instead the government should offer her a helping hand as a single parent.
ReplyDeleteCommon, she is homeless. Fine, she did wrong but just before you judge her, please read a copy of americanah by adichie if you have never been in the state. Then you can understand what black poor go through.
ReplyDeleteWell sincerely you can't be driving an Suv without a home is weird cos only insurance and car note will get her a place to stay with the kids while going on public transportation till things fall in place , I gaze the judge found her excuses baseless before decide she be jailed ... Life can't be bought back , she should know better, however those kids get paid by the government over 400$ a month each for food stamps unless she is residing in the USA illegally, however where is the father of those kids? He should get the jail term instead of the woman .. unless he is no where to be found..
ReplyDeleteThis is an unfortunate situation, but what she did was wrong wrong wrong, anything can happen at any given moment - those children are too young!! Could she not have gone even just to a centre or don't tell me she has no friends or relatives to give them the child for one minute
