Over 200 people have been killed in the last two weeks in some troubled northern states by Boko Haram insurgents. Another 35 was added to that list after gunmen carrying AK47 rifles, Rocket
Propelled Launchers, Improvised Explosive Devices and petrol
bombs, invaded Jakana village in
Konduga LGA, Borno State around 7pm yesterday Monday March 3rd.
They slaughtered residents of the community and set their homes ablaze in a raid that lasted for hours. They also burnt down shops and a police station along the
Maiduguri-Damaturu road.
The
attack in Jakana comes barely 12 hours after gunmen killed over 36 people including 3 soldiers in the Mafa Council area of the state.
I cry for ma country... Y r diz people like diz?
ReplyDeleteDon't weep for the country, just weep for the northern. The igbo massacre in the 60's is finally catching up with them.
DeleteWe all are waiting for them to take their madness outside their northern region then they wld know that madness get levels. A child that says his family wldnt have peace wld also know no peace... Happy centenary celebrations Nigerians.
Are u ok ! we are talking about lives , here u are talking about centenary celebration and other petty issues .
DeleteI smell conspiracy... Just like albert Einstein once said "ogbu mma ga eso mma laa"....
DeleteWas it petty in the 60's? Or during the crazy Denmark cartoon killings and all the killings inbetween? or you don't think lives too were lost? no one stopped them then, why do u think someone can stop them now? Since Nig refused the Biafra separation then,we MUST celebrate our centenary union whether You or boko haram likes it or not.
DeleteAnon 3:02, completely agree with you. Sometimes, Nemesis takes time in coming. Its just unbelievable that they turned against themselves and their own people.
DeleteI'm really sorry to say this, but has anyone noticed that Boko Haram insurgence has doubled since after Sanusi was suspended? Does anyone kind of reason with me that Sanusi was a major sponsor of the Boko Haram sect?
Deletehmmm these boko haram people are really not joking o. this is just too sad. My God in heaven wipe these boko haram people off the surface of this earth as you did sodom and gomorrah.
DeleteAnon4:59. Very true. Abeg don't be sorry, it's the truth. My own is why can't everyone in the high risk areas just leave the town. Like seriously? What are pple waiting for????
DeleteNig either hate the truth or are sentimental bout it. What goes around comes around. I hope their sponsors have funds set aside to rebuild what their pawns are destroying. Nemesis and karma are hard core bitches...
DeleteOk, so if I insult Nigerian army now, who will blame me?
ReplyDeleteYour comment will be visible after approval
No come here con insult dem,go deir barrack nd u go hear am...u tink say e easy abi,or dem no b humanbeing like u,abi u no c aw dem dey kill d innocent soldiers anyaw due to inadequate equipment for dem
DeleteWay back then even the militants in the creeks of the Niger Delta region weren't this heartless but still a Quite northern president by name Yaradua came and put a total stop to the manace in Niger Delta region today there's peace why can't a southern president reciprocate tht same gesture by putting an end to this untold pains of nigerians in the northern region? What is happening to our government how heartless they hv all become Lord help us out of this trouble becs we cannot help ourselves anymore
DeleteAnd Who Approves Linda
lovlyivon, stop being heartless and fooling yourself. Be sincere once to yourself. The Nigerdelta militants fought for a worthy cause - the petrodollars being looted, developing and feeding the North and other docile regions fat come from Nigerdelta with little or no benefit save environmental devastation and degradation. The elders in the Nigerdelta zone contributed to bringing the militants to a round-table discussion, thereby ending the insurgency.
DeleteSo, what role has your Northern leaders played in bringing this BH carnage to an end? In 2011, Buhari for one infamously promised that the blood of baboons would be spilt and the immediate result - the lives of the innocent youth corps members who were slaughtered in the north to the admiration of BH supporters. Rather than quench the raging fire Northern leaders fuel the inferno the more to make the country ungovernable for GEJ just as they promised during 2011 elections.
Were you not in this country when BH rejected every overtures by GEJ for them to cease fire? There was a time BH almost agreed for discussion and gave FG series of conditions that must be observed including inviting Buhari to mediate between them and the Government. But Buhari declined! BH later denied engaging in any form of negotiation, and thus rejected the offer! At that time BH and their sympathisers were having a field day, killing Christians n quantum and bombing Churches in dozens.
There is no other region in this country where free education is practised more than in the north. It's painful that it took GEJ, an Ijaw man from Southern Nigeria, to build numerous modern Almajiri schools. Katsina state’s Almajiri programme alone gulps N36m monthly. Does this money come from the state and its people? It can only be free money from Nigerdelta oil.
Now, what kind of reciprocation do you need from GEJ?
Sorry to this, but this country is so f**ked up
ReplyDeleteSorry to say this but this country is soooo f**ked up.
ReplyDeleteAre we this powerless.
ReplyDeleteImagine our country invaded by another nation,so this is how hopeless we would have been?

The NiGeria political class has failed us. Our children's life no longer matter. What if any of these kids are theirs?Enough is enough!!!Let us push this message forward. ReplyDeleteI don't think this is political. They infilterated our country due to our weak security systems. the govt is busy looting the treasury while the masses are suffering and smiling. Why would boko haram learn how to use western technology...i.e the hilux jeeps, sophisticated guns, mobile devices and yet do not want the ordinary man to benefit from education. With American intervention they'll be easily flushed out.
ReplyDelete#1372 Abdulsamad Rabiu $1.2 B 54 sugar, flour, cement Nigeria..................correct yourself young lady.
ReplyDeleteI am tired of this boko haram issue sef. The so called Northern elders like Babaginda, Buhari, Atiku, Sanusi, traditional rulers etc, should come together to put an end to the killings currently going on in the North if they actually want peace in the country. Their silence speaks volume.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I am not a fan of Bros Jona, but the truth is that the man needs the cooperation of the Northern elders to achieve result because it is obvious that the Boko Haran sect is being sponsored by some well placed persons in Nigeria, whose aim is to discredit the present government.
I was surprised the other day when Atiku came hard on Bros Jona for the centenary celebration instead shelving it to mourn the boarding school children killed in Borno State. Now my question is: what effort has put in to bring an end to the killings? Does he hate Bros Jona so much that he cannot even raise a finger to help his people? He should proffer solution and stop castigating Bros Jona and his administration if he truly loves Nigeria as a country. That alone will endear him to the hearts of the masses.
My prayer is that as many that are sponsoring boko haram sect’s havoc, killing innocent citizens, especially the helpless children, may God Almighty strike them with His wrath and anger. And may the blood of the innocent men, women and children shed cry against them day and night, unless they repent and make amends!
Linda, post my epistle sharp sharp............this people dey make me vex.

ReplyDeleteAnd wats d govt doin abt dis?! Chukwuna biko mere umugi ebere!Lord av mercy on His children...
ReplyDeleteFuck the soldiers, they can make peace in mali but they cant make peace in our own land...fuck jonathan and his crew
ReplyDeletethis is getting out of hands the government needs to put a stop to this. Nigeria contributes one of the highest number of soldiers for UN peace keeping missions in the world but our president is finding it hard to put a stop to Boka haram send out large number of troops in battalions and see if they cant fight Boka haram let them destroy those bastards once and for all.
ReplyDeletemay be dis pple will soon take over power in Nigeria cos i c every body in authority is so scared dat no one wants to say or do anytin. Not even any foreign country wants to giv a helpin hand like dey use to do anytym theres a crios case as such.

ReplyDelete@Love, we share the same view, but in addition,i think at this juncture Bros Jona also needs to boldly face the masses and take responsibility of all this bombings and apologize for the failed Nigerian security because he is our head. he should also come out and say words to citizens to make them not to panic and how hard his govt is working to put an end to it...This alone would mean alot to Nigerians other than his keeping mute since this bombings has started lately..
ReplyDeleteIt was easy for Nigeria army to enter tru ogoja and obeleafor and even tru bakasi to slaughter 2million igbo men and now less than a few thousand deranged islamist they cannot confront. Liar Muhammed said in channels TV that he can name the sponsors but that's not why he is on TV. Shettima knws that they are beta motivated and have superior fire power and he is not in the war front. Where else do we have to look to fine the sponsors.
ReplyDeletei have no words. people should be in the streets mass demonstrating against this and demanding further action from the government. But no you are busy being distracted by gay and transsexual diversion tactics. oya continue stepping over the pilling dead bodies at the rate these thugs are going soon enough there will not be anyone left to kill in the north but the cows
