President Jonathan this morning announced the release
of N50million to members of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club as
they prepare to go cheer the National team in the forthcoming Brazil
World Cup tournament which starts in June.
In a ceremony where he was decorated as the Grand Patron of
the Nigerian Football Supporters Club, President Jonathan said his administration
will not relent in giving the support required to sports men and
women to excel in all international football competitions, this by
extension includes the Nigerian football supporters club. He also
promised to seek the assistance of private organizations to help sponsor and bring more supporters to
Brazil during the football challenge.

ReplyDeleteGood one from GEJ, but hope they will not go and fight over the sharing formula, because with that, at least each supporter should be going home with nothing less than N500,000

ReplyDeleteThis is really good. The guys use their own personal funds for travel expenses, even though some sponsorship do come, they still go and give their all in supporting the national teams. Good to know the government can still show some form of appreciation.

ReplyDeleteHe was his ADC from days of bayelsa and also as VP.but law stipulates that the office of the president must not have an adc below a certain military rank so Mr. president was appointed one and his loyal man from yester years is also still there.

ReplyDeleteWhat a waste of money? This man is just throwing money everywhere when there lots more pending issues. Fuel scarcity and all. Who knows whether GEJ knows abt the 150billion dolllars. Money keeps missing and no one is searching yet someone is spending lavishly.

ReplyDeleteFDJ
As usual the money will go into the pocket of illiterate dr Rafiu.supporters club chairman.
ReplyDeletewhere does all this giveaway and donation money come from, i hope its not the peoples money. Only in nigeria do you hear elected officials giving money away like this.
ReplyDeleteur here wasting money on nothing wen our educational sector is ntfin to write home abt
ReplyDeleteAny way it is good things is happening this way, it is high time Nigeria divide. cos things like things will continue, now many Nigerians are not happy with the situation of things, killing here and there, fuel scarcity again, kerosine is cost, high level of poverty now than ever in Nigeria. Our president is so comfortable entertaining AGN , giving out 50m for supporters club, and yet 70% Igbo and 99% Niger-Delta carrying that Jonathan must remain in 2015 or else there will be war in Nigeria, But one thing i know for sure. PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN WILL BE THE LAST PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA. ENOUGH OF THIS. UNITED WILL FALL, DIVIDED WILL STAND. WE ARE NOT THE SAME, WE ARE ONLY ENDURING AND MANAGING OURSELVES, BUT THIS WILL END ONE DAY AND THAT ONE DAY IS FAST APPROACH.
ReplyDeleteAnd ur point being???@samorano
