Boko Haram men attack 2 villages in Borno + Govt seals border with cameroon

Boko Haram members yesterday Sunday Feb. 23rd attacked two villages, Mairari village of Konduga LGA and Izge village in Gwoza LGA in Borno state killing many people.

This is the second time the sect men are attacking Izge village. They had attacked the village on the 16th of February killing 63 people.  In this recent attack, the men came at about 2am, chanting war songs as they killed elderly people in the village and burnt down all the standing buildings in the village. All the men, women and youths fled the village immediately they heard the sect men coming.
In Mairari village, the men arrived at about 12noon, killing 2 people, burning 10 houses and vehicles

There were rumours that the federal government was planning to dissolve the democratic government in Borno state and bring in a military administrator to help stop the continuous attack by the sect men on the state but this has been refuted by the federal government.

Meanwhile the Nigerian government sealed a portion of its North Eastern border with Cameroon yesterday to block the movement of criminal groups from entering into the country

  9. Its quite unfortunate.
I guess now people like Doyin Okupe would now agree with the Governor when he told them these people are more motivated and armed than the govt forces there.

  44. Nigeria government shud stand up , where are this mother fuckers get their weapons and sponsorship from. Closing border with cameroon is not the problem, cameroon borders are well secure and full arm round the clock , since from the last kidnapping of those french citizen cameroon government is playing his role very well, to tell how secure cameroon is militaryly the have central africa issue calm down becuase of the rapid intervention unit that was deploy into our borders, that just show u hw all the giant of africa u scream abt is lame , same nigerians are the one sponsoring boko haram . Where are they getting arms from , same nigerian are the one importing arms and arming boko haram . Tell boko haram to come try dat their nonsense in cameroon , 24 hours is plenty to flush them out. Tell nigerian government boko haram is destroying his country image , insecurity, linda post my comment .

  48. I hate to say this but Goodluck Jonathan deserves to be impeached. The number of Nigerians that ve died from this BH menace is too much. Ukraine just had protested where few pple died compare to d numbers dat ve died in Nigeria and the people agreed n removed d president. America value a single soul but here counting death rate is like counting numbers in school. Its sad that people r heartless. If Jonathan happens to loose any of his child to BH am sure by next day dis BH tin will end but becos he lacks value for nigerian citizens dat y dis tin is still increasing. What kind of democracy do we pratice wen we can't save guard lives

Wah difference does it make nau, would it bring back those people's lives.... People out there would think you doing good, when you not. You not coming back.

  55. Why are they stating the "closing of the border" as if boko haram is coming from cameroon into Nigeria?
    Na wah oh niaja people.
Abeg y'all need to handle this problem asap. Boko harem will not exist without funding. That finding is coming from the internal government not from another country.
