AY set to open multimillion Naira non-smoking night club in Lekki

Top comedian Ayo Makun popularly known as AY is getting ready to unveil his multimillion Naira premium Night club, MVP. MVP is an all-new luxurious and premium class club, lounge& restaurant located in the heart of Lekki at Ommission Emporium, Plot 16 Block 46, Bisola Durosimi-Etti Drive, Lekki Phase1, Lekki, Lagos. It will be officially opened on  Friday, April 18 through Sunday April 20, 2014.

 It’s a strictly non-smoking Nightclub, set up to be the entertainment home and official recreation centre for moguls, superstars, leading lights, and ‘Most Valuable Players’ of all walks of life, resident in Lagos, in other parts of Nigeria, and in other parts of the World. Set up to place ‘CLASS’ on nightlife in our part of the World, MVP will relate with its world-wide customers and clienteles via www.mvplagos.com  –  it’s official Website.


MVP’s official grand opening party will take place on Easter 2014 Weekend in a 3-Day event. On Good Friday, April 18, 2014 the Club will open for the first time to the VIP Public from 8pm. The Following day, it will hold the Pre Party of AY Live at MVP. It will be a night to party with superstars on the Bill of AY Live on Easter Sunday. Then, it will have the After-Party of AY Live at the Event.

      LMFAO at 97% of nigerians r smokers. Soooo true. Whether na circumstantial smoker or occasional smoker or chain smoker or I'm-trying-to-pull-off-a-bad-ass-look-tonight smoker or I'm-trying-to-impress-someome smoker or shisha smoker, we all smoke! AY should have just done a non smoking section. It would be better that way. Even the top MVP's have their smoke poison. They all enjoy the occasional but relaxing stick, maybe a cigar. Btw, I don't know what exactly are his reasons for making it a non smoking club but I think it's hypocritical. He shouldn't sell alcohol as well. Then it will be complete. A place for priests, pastors and nuns to come and chill. Sigh. Great decor though. I'm impressed. Hour sure spent a lot here. And if he hopes to make it back, lose the non smoking sign. Tsk + rme

    Obviously most people commenting have not clubbed outside Nigeria if not they would know that in most advanced countries you can't smoke in night clubs, its illegal. Now just to clarify something and why there is a big difference between smoking and drinking, when you decide to drink,that drink can only affect you,but when you smoke you puff out your smoke and because you are in a confined space other non smokers inhale your smoke. You are therefore forcing your lifestyle on others, smokers and non smokers have the right to enjoy their night out in a club, but please don't force us(non-smokers) to inhale your smoke. AY this is a great idea, it will encourage many people to come to your club, no fear of cancer or lung disease, no clothes stinking of smoke. If they want to smoke, they should go outside, finish their cigarette/cigar then come back inside, that's what's done here(United Kingdom).Thank you bro

    Una too dey Behind. stay there make pant dey wear you. About 85% of luxurious and premium class club in US are non smoking and they make huge amount of money. you rarely find a club that allows smoking today. As for naija someone had to start the non smoking clubs, same way someone did abroad because they also allowed smoking for years till it was stopped {2nd hand smoking is real}. i like the club, looking forward to visiting. For cigarette smokers you all need to manage hooker/shisha or an e-cig in clubs. im an herb lover but smoke the weed in a private room or outside the club. you can still have a good time without doing any in the main area. They don't even check ID in naija yet. That one is coming soon. Let us Upgrade Nigeria.

    i see. all the people saying AY wont progress far for putting non smoking caveat are purely illiterates, y wont he sell. clubs in America are non smoking and people still patronize. y cant we have something in Nigeria that will accommodate people with health issues for once. i pray that God will give AY the capacity to follow this rule up so that pressures wont make him turn later on. but common, this is pretty good. looks like a club i visited in Miami,Florida, it's all heaven i tell you. i also know of a club here in NEW YORK with same setting.
