    ReplyDelete
  11. Expecte!

No Nigerian has won the award since 1999. Mikel is the wrong candidate to break that record. He was never oustanding.

If Jay Jay never won it...Mikel can't.

  24. Congrats Yaya Toure,Bt by his words,"John Obi Mikel also deserves it".Definitely because he performed well in club level. Even when we taught Okocha was gonna win CAF Player of d year, after bagging the BBC footballer of d year award,it was given to Mustapha Hadji of Morroco. So I'm not surprised. Mikel has got more ahead of him.

  25. Who else deserves it if not him, only if we can be candid with ourselves. Let give honour to whom deserves it. Am a truly Nigerian and a fan of Mikel and Chelsea

Dis is a warning sign to Ronaldo n Ribery, dt Messi could win d Balon d'or title. Using his past glory. Cos Yaya Toure made no mark last year, how could he possibly win. If not being bias. Up Mikel.

  85. I think the problem is more with Nigerians and not CAF. We never accept defeats in good fate. No wonder all our elections always end at the tribunal. When Kanu, Ikpeba, Amunike won it everything was fine but now that it's going the other way round there's cause for alarm. We seriously need to do a lot of soul searching

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yaya deserved it as wel as mikel did...mikel based on iz achievement...yaya based on iz peformance...so congrats to yaya

    ReplyDelete
  101. The funny thing with this years CAF awards is that asmoah Gyang is among the best 11 african footballers but didn't make it to the 3 contenders for the african footballer award. Didier drogba is not among the best 11 but he is among the 3 contenders for the footballer of the year. Ha ah, which kind wahala b this. Na wa oh. Abeg make I sleep.

  120. Enyeama deserves d award better dan mikel, mikel obi did nt play both d semi final nd d final of d uefa cup dat chelsea won....he shud learn hw 2 run, shoot, nod, tackle nd score if its possible.....yaya is miles ahead of him. Toure after suarez is d best player in d EPL nd d best mid-fielder. Sunday mba's crucial goals gave us dat trophy.....nt mikel obi even emenike played better in d tournament. Mikel is hype, nd he is afraid 2 initiate

  126. Yah I knw is him gonna hav it. Congrats Nigga, happy 4 u twice nw

    ReplyDelete
  127. Sentiments apart, Yaya Toure is a father to Mikel on the football pitch. He is far better. It doesn't matter whether Nigeria won Nations Cup; that was a team work. And Nigeria as a team has won laurel for that. Mikel is very lucky to have been shortlisted in the first instance in the top 3, because Nigeria at the moment lack extraordinary international stars. However my congratulations go to both Yaya Toure and Mikel; and also to their Mentor and grandfather, Drogba who had won it twice and has always been on the top three since 2003 till date

    ReplyDelete
  128. Congrats Yaya Toure! And to Mikel Obi,we are very proud of you! Well done!

He needs to score more goals and he can't single-handedly grab a bull (game) by the horns and control it. When he does that he will get awards.
