According to a breaking news report by Channels TV, 37 PDP House of Reps members today Dec 18th defected to All Progressive Congress, APC. The lawmakers say there defection is
as a result of the factionalisation and division currently rocking the
PDP. There defection they say is in line with Section 68 subsection 1G
of the Nigerian Constitution.

ReplyDeleteWe steal because Nigerians don’t
ReplyDeletestone us — Amaechi
Rivers State Governor, Mr.
Rotimi Amaechi
| credits: File copy
The Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi
Amaechi, on Saturday said political
office holders steal state funds
because Nigerians do not stone them.
Amaechi, who said this in Lagos at an
event organised to pay tribute to
Nelson Mandela, challenged Nigerians
to hold their leaders accountable.
He said, “If you see a thief and you
allow him to be stealing, what have
you done? You have stoned nobody;
that is why we are stealing. Who have
you stoned? They came out and
started dancing oil subsidy, oil
subsidy. They told you that they stole
N2.3trn, what did you do?
“Instead you are protesting ‘bring
more oil subsidy’; the oil subsidy that
is not reaching the poor. A few
individuals are going away with the
money and you have done nothing.
You are mourning Madiba, who lived
up to 95, and he was very angry with
Nigeria when he died.
“You’ve heard that $50bn is missing
and you have done nothing about it. In
some countries people will go on the
street until they return that money. It
is N8trn, it can change Nigeria.
“Me I want to steal only $1bn, let them
bring it. You read Obasanjo’s letter
and you are asking why is he writing
the letter, is he a South-South man? In
fact, when he was there what did he
do? You, what have you done? If you
don’t take your destiny in your hands,
we will go and other leaders will come
and continue stealing.”
NIGERIANS LET US ASK OURSELVES Y?
D day we can ask this question and tell ourselves d truth is d day we find progress.

ReplyDeleteThe same people.
ReplyDeleteI remembered reading in one of the dailies that these 37 lawmakers treatened to leave pdp if they were not given immediate pass in the next election, so what is this disguise of factional issues in pdp. They are all power mongers who are willing to do anything to retain their positions. We can't be fooled a second time. Still watching. #SEE THE CUP AS HALF FULL RATHER THAN HALF EMPTY.

ReplyDeleteA welcome development in Nigeria's political landscape, i must say.
ReplyDeleteA welcome development in Nigeria's political landscape, i must say.
ReplyDeleteIn the end APC is just PDP, they just rebranded! So it is still the same enemy, but in another package, but this time he has learnt new and even more dirty tricks.
ReplyDeleteGbamest....!!!
DeleteGood for APC
ReplyDeleteThere and their...
ReplyDeleteI saw it comin...very soon majority of d PDP member wil decamp to APC.Debby green
ReplyDeleteSection 68(1) provides that where A member of the Senate or of the House of Representatives shall vacate his seat in the House of which he is a member if
ReplyDelete(g) being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected;
THEY OUGHT TO HAVE LEFT THE HOUSE ALTOGETHER NOT JUST PDP.
WHY WOULD THEY BE DECEIVING THEMSELVES OR DONT NIGERIANS HAVE CONSTITUTION AGAIN?
Tinubu don buy them..Nigerian politicians!!!
ReplyDeleteTheir masterplan is get enough numbers together and impeach Jonathan - they only need 2/3 of the house to achieve that.
ReplyDeleteWe still need an alternative but strong party. I'll only say YES to APC if they can start proffering solutions to National issues and not just ranting about their party being a threat to PDP. Ain't a fan of PDP though.
ReplyDeleteAm not surprise at all, its a film am watching and its getting more n more interesting by the day. PDP is getting weaker by the day whether they like it or not, soon APC will be majority in the house and they will impeach GEJ *ThatFunctionGuy*
ReplyDeleteWe all had high hopes for the newly formed APC but now that they are accepting the DREGS of politicians from PDP, I wonder what to expect. APC may now become the dumping ground for failed politicians from PDP. and PDP then becomes the truely transformed Part. Tinubu watch!!!

ReplyDeleteI see blood shed amongst politicians... Its serious.. In the quest for power and position, such things are bound to happen... But its excessively out of control in this part of the world... May God help us
ReplyDeleteIncredible. Drama everywhere. Naija we hail thee!
ReplyDeleteHow does dis affect d price of periwinkle?
ReplyDeleteSharrap Dia!!!!Bleeding faggot!!!.your mother will be sad to know you support taking it in the anus! Na from anus you comot! Weyrey! Oshisco! Disgrace to manhood! Hide ur face in shame! Gay right activist ko gay right activist ni! Mtcheeeeeeew.
DeleteSame old bull shit from greedy Α̲̅πϑ self absorbed politicians We have in this country!!! As far as politics is concern Nigeria is still learning Α̲̅πϑ №†̥ learning well....I pray dξγ̲̣̣̥ all die b4 2015! Useless people Α̲̅πϑ leaders.
ReplyDeleteWe all had high hopes for the newly formed APC but now that APC is accepting the DREGS of politicians from PDP, I wonder what to expect. Should I expect APC to now become the dumping ground for failed politicians from PDP, and PDP will then become the truly transformed Party? The political opportunists that ruin APP, ANPP etc. are already in APC, couple with uninvited politicians from PDP? Tinubu watch!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy defection lol
ReplyDeleteNEPA changed name to PHCN with the same people operating it and we did not have constant Power supply, now that we have new party with the same old known names should we expect anything different ( be careful with any problem that brags about changing name only)
ReplyDeleteWise choice
ReplyDeleteGood for them...
ReplyDeleteSelf interest! They are doing it for themselves, they don't have the interest of the nation at heart. The country is still in reverse.
ReplyDeleteTo ‘port’ is free, if Saka can port to MTN what do you expect of lawmakers? But before I vote for you in 2015, can you briefly tell me your achievements in PDP before your sudden move to APC
ReplyDeleteA good step......"2015 " God help us.
ReplyDeletei no fit laugh, hv been waiting for dis, u aint seen nothing yet, more is still ahead, dis guys re ready to crucify Jonathan by 2015
ReplyDeleteA ploy τ̅☺ impeach jona. ₪ǻ dem sabi. Make dem do wetin dem like A̶̲̥̅♏ nt even a benefactor.
ReplyDeleteI tink its gud for Nigeria if PDP meets a strong opposition just like Replubicans and Democrats in USA. if PDP is in power, d other will checkmate dem and if the other is in power, PDP will checkmate dem. Lets try dat out but this APC dey pull weight ooo provided dey dont all end up goin back to PDP
ReplyDeleteThey left PDP, not becoz they want tranformatn. But becoz Tukur rejectd them automatic tickets in 2015 which they requestd 4. * Phil *

ReplyDeleteFoolishness of the highest level , PDP to APC no be the same people ? They shld stop making noise jare . Mtchwwwwww
ReplyDeleteWell, in as much as I am not against their defecting to APC, I must add that if they are really following the constituiton, then will have to vacate their seats as that is what the provision in S68(1g) states.

ReplyDeleteEvery party in all country in d word must surely hv opposition dat's what I saw there, 4 pass some years nw there's no strong opposition party in nigeria be 4 APC nw cam out so let us watch nd see what we happen nest, nd I saw it as a gud development 2 nigeria so dat opposition can also shake them if they re doing wrong or if they re doing gud dat's all.

ReplyDeleteHehehe!!! I won't stop laughing @ this APC aka After Power Congress! Even if GEJ steal 1Trillion, I swear he better pass all this shameless people
ReplyDeleteHear yourself o....even if somebody steal 1tln, e no matter to you because you know say the scams don pass 1tln abi. Naija get children!
DeleteNigeria's problem is not about the parties that are ruling, its about the persons and personalities in the parties. Even if they defect to 'Jesus Party', as long as they are still infused with maladministration, corruption, selfishness, nonchalance and unethical conducts, they will surely end up as antagonists due to their personal interests and the nation will continue to waddle in its present state without any significant progress.
ReplyDeleteWe will see how this pans out in 2015
ReplyDeleteThis was prophesied long ago that pdp name will change to a new name. I'm not surprised at all. Pdp can never rule naija again. God at work. Make una watch n see more drama. That name pdp is dieing slowly. .hehehe power change hands. Whats my biz sef abi I go follow chop money
ReplyDeletehhhmm.....amma defect to **** lols
ReplyDeletePeople let's try another medicine for our headache abeg, PDP try, see the south west, they tried AD, no result, then moved to PDP, haaaaaa reverse, they ve moved to ACN/APC, hope rising, they re watching. Seriously, this is what we need to do as a nation until performance is the yardstick for our votes since we don't want war.
ReplyDeleteI need to make sure say my visa dey valid make I move when time reach
ReplyDeleteIf Una like make Una move to OPC self na Una know that one na light we dey find... Nothing more
ReplyDeleteHahahaha this is just the beginning! Wrath of GOD will soon come on them if they did not turn back from there selfish interest. Stupid politicians!
ReplyDeleteSo, why is Tambuwal still the Speaker?, or did he defect too? APC should be majority now, I think.
ReplyDeleteno be small thing
