  16. EXACTLY! These OAP's are too damn greedy! They make sooo much from payola and that's why they are against COSON's request! You pay international artists to play their songs, yet you won't pay for your own Nigerian artists! This corruption is everywhere! None of those OAP's have the right to open their stinking mouths and insult the current Govt! There's no difference between you guys! Freeze collects like N400k, Olisa like N500k, Toolz collects designer shoes etc, Dotun collects like N300k,...etc etc. I'm sooo livid and irritated!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Linda, who tell you? They are still playing it ooo. I listen to the radio all the time and I can authoritatively tell you that they still play them. If they don't play their songs, wetin remain? Na 2chainz and his fellow cohorts songs?! Hia

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well said my brother, I think COSON is fighting for the artist. This issue is not a debatable issue in develop country because their music industry is a well regulated one, it is the right of the artist to collect royalties from IBAN and BON but I think what IBAN and BON are saying is that they can't be paying a fee that is not regulated, a fee that can not be accounted for and also a fee that is not calculated. I personally think the best thing is for both parties to sit down and find a way to resolve this issue, it is compulsory for IBAN and BON to pay royalty but it should be well regulated so that issues like this can be avoided in the future *ThatFunctionGuy*

  43. It's sad Nigerians causes the bad names given to them, I came home for Xmas holiday only for the #customofficers at Lagos international airport stopped me and asked me to pay for my personal clothing even took my iPad and wedding dress that I must pay tax for them and I was really mad.I tried to get the name of the short guy who was in charge and slim tall dark lady, when they notice my action they started begging me to give them 4000 Naira very shameful act. Seriously Linda is very shamful what I went through with the custom officers my 3rd time visiting Nigeria, I was treated like a thief just because of 4000 Naira even threaten to detain me for buying my wedding dress aboard and other clothing and I over heard them speaking pigin English 'she hold money and she go pay na only grammar we go chop' what a shamful thing. Bless Linda

  44. If they no make we hear our favourite songs on the radio stations, we will be playing them in our homes. Gbam

    ReplyDelete
  45. Dont let coson ruin your career. Many of you artistes made your fortune from radio stations, not coson.coson is a parasite. All the money you use to buy porche and #1m jacket should be save for rainy day.I repeat coson is a parasite.since you have been paying radio stations to play your music,it has not affected your savings.you even get tripple shows and endorsement.

  64. Mr Tuface Idibia, I am not holding brief for COSON but why dont you face the issues they raised and just explain, just improve or upgrade the quality of your content in the particular lyrics or song that was banned, or rather explain the age bracket the song is meant for, just face the issues point by point, believe me I love your music, thos that have messages and they inspire me but I get fed up when Nigerians dont address issues the exact way it comes but instead start generalizing and bringing up sentiments to draw public support, nuff said ONE LUV, TU BABA

  79. If you know how much COSON levies on radio stations indiscriminately, you won't say all you're saying. If you have no knowledge of issues, just shut up and inquire before commenting. And gow many of these monies do these artistes get? Zero. The hencemen of COSON eats them all. If you manage or own a station, you'll understand what's going on. Let the fadt rising artistes use this opportunity to shine now. Give the underdogs chance joor!

    ReplyDelete
  80. 92. You all are saying he is right.. Come to think of it..... Coson... Will ask you all to pay for playing music in your cars.... And all other place music are played..... Like you buy a CD with your money and you will still pay for playing it..1... 2 all this artiste... When trying to make name for (hit) they go to radio stations.... Begging them to play their music now that they have made it.... They are now asking you all to pay for playing their songs on air and all other mis of playing music... IBAN and BON is trying to stop that

  107. The problem is not the radio stations, the problem is that this our country Nigeria is a very Funny place. Even some Radio stations paid Coson some huge sum of money and then NBC came with their own that Radio stations should not play music. The problem here is we have way too many bodies governing this our country Nigeria, Even in Football NFA, NFF, Now IBAN, BON,COSON,NBC THEY are all the same GREEDY people who wants to make MONEY for themselves alone and allow people under them to suffer. If it was BON or NBC paying 2face am sure they will all be on their side but now it's COSON so it's all about the Money. 2Face Same Greed so take a sit

    ReplyDelete
  108. 9ja funny place and funny people, because say na 2face talk now y'all are talking TRASH but if na one new musician wey nobody know dey talk these nonsense una for dey talk RUBBISH. I forgot music. 2face you will not be here forever ask Tony T and the likes of Others. Kmt here jor na only una own una sabi, all these una ranting if una use am dey preach and tell people the truth the world will be a better place. Preach what's right and not about money same "GREED"

  115. I guess many ppl here don't just get d implication of diz issue at all...yes! Royalties go make senz like other countries, guess wah, MTN pays royalties to diz artist bcos we pay for the caller tunes, do we pay radio stations to listen to HITs songs, if that's d way it is from time, only God knows who will be able to play us HIT tracks back in those days.... The system as a crack in its foundation, and such needs to be fixed b4 smtin can be don..COSON fighting bon or iban no make senz, they've been there for the artist from time. If d artist get successful wit diz issue, den for sure, upcoming artist will have to pay even more to get their song on d airwaves.
