We are solicitors to Mr. Julius Agwu, one of Nigeria's most sought after entertainers (hereinafter referred to as "our client") and on whose behalf we write.
Our client is the owner of the Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555, which he uses as his business line. On the 8th of October, 2013, our client travelled out of the country and returned on the 17th of the same month. Upon his return, he tried severally to make calls from the aforestated GSM line but same could not connect. Not only could he not make calls, he also could not receive calls on the said GSM line. This continued for some days until he got a message that his line had been blocked by the network provider.
Sequel
to the above message, our client promptly visited your Abuja office at Hilton
to report the matter. He was attended to by one Miss Joan, who informed him
that somebody swapped his line. After our client successfully answered the
security questions put to him, he was informed that his line had been restored,
but the credit balance on the line was not returned.
Surprisingly,
our client's aforestated line was blocked again after he left your said Abuja
office. Once again our client visited your office at the local wing of the
Murtala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja, Lagos to lodge a complaint, but
painfully, nothing was done about it.
However,
after sometime, our client was invited for a meeting at your head office in
Lagos on the 14th of November, 2013 which he duly honoured. Present at the
meeting (in addition to the officials of your organization) was Mr. Mobolaji
Okusaga, the Managing Director of The Quadrant Company, in his capacity as
media agents/managers for Etisalat Nigeria.
At
the end of the meeting, our client was told for the umpteenth time that they
would get back to him, which they again failed to do.
LOSS
OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
It
cannot be over emphasized that your actions of unlawfully blocking and/or
swapping our client's line occasioned loss of business opportunities to him. As
you are aware, our client as one of the most sought after Nigerian entertainers
needs his phone line to be easily accessible to keep his business going. It
therefore goes without saying that our client has lost some business
opportunities as a result of your actions.
TAKE
NOTICE that we have our client's firm instruction to demand and hereby demand
the sum of N100,000,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira) as compensation for the
loss of business opportunities and the inconvenience caused our client by
reason of your unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping of our
client's Etisalat GSM phone line.
TAKE
FURTHER NOTICE that in the event that you fail, refuse or neglect to accede to
our above stated demand within seven (7) days from the receipt of this letter,
we shall be compelled to set in motion against you, all legal machineries
necessary to obtain legal remedy for our client.
Thank
you.
Yours
sincerely,
FESTUS
KEYAMO, ESQ.
The should make it a çlass action lawsuit if they wanna stand a chance.
ReplyDeleteThe nonsense from service providers in this country has to stop
Yes I agree. The service providers are so full of themselves. They act like they are doing you a favour. So annoying. Me I always insult them when I call customer service o. Half baked idiots!
DeleteWhen Julius came 2 my office @ the hilton I personally told him his line was disconnected bcos we noticed a fraudulent activity going on on the line, secondly the line in question was nt registered by julius well he claimed his P.A registered it I tell u Julius has no case as everything that lead 2 d disconnection of the line is his fault, and oh yes I'm the Joan thanks 4 d five minutes fame hehehehehe
DeleteFraudulent activity??? Abeg Joan nack me story *shines teeth*
Delete@Bobo_Edo
Weldone Jare Joan, He doesn't even have anything against the company, u didn't register sim, and u r sueing 100million naira just bcos u didn't use a sim for some days, if that is the case, every business man/women should be rich, this Man and his lawyer are weaklings. The stuff MTN do to people is worse than that. Ayo
DeleteNo mind Julius jare, just they look for cheap money
Delete^ sure sayy you don took your drugs. ?? LMAO
DeleteNigerians deserve better than this
I am guessing U must be Joan.. Instead of you to shut up because if you had performed your duty well as the first customer care to receive the case Julius won't be pressing charges but in your usual manner you failed woefully to do what you were trained to do which was to allay the fears and. disappointment in a customer that feel let down by poor service but in contrast you even have the effontery to come to a blog to rant how the line wasn't registered to Julius and how he couldn't have lost 100m worth of business in days and to these I ask you
Delete1.. Didn't you hear him say it was a business line used for strictly Julius Agwu the brand business matters and not personal .. His PA is a works and represents the Brand and as such can register the line on behalf of Brand Julius.
2. In your careless fishwife manner you said " the line was not even registered by Julius". Joan are you saying that network tossed the line because the thought it belonged to an ordinary Nigerian and that Etisalat renders service based on who is who.
3 . Have you ever worked in the Finance dept of the Julius Agwu brand so much that you know how much business he can possibly execute in a" few" days as you put it.
4. Do you realise that you have further thrown the organization that feeds you in badlight by coming discuss confidential info your customer entrusted in your care on a public blog.
Joan I can assure you Etisalat and Julius Agwu will settle this matter like gentlemen and our Job will be sacrificed as that is done .. Mark my word ..
P.S : I do not in anyway speak for Julius Agwu brand
@10:20pm u nailed it. Am rili impressd abt wat u said. U actually spoke ma mind, miss joan am ashamed of u. If by any means etisalat pay a dime 2 julius agwu, ur d 1st person 2 receive sack letter.ur so nt organise n confidential, And if I may ask wen julius came 2ur office did u tell him anytin lik his accnt was involved in any fraudulent activity? As 4 etisalat "una don enta 1chance" dis telecom giant alwys feel dey cn tranple on our right cuz we cnt sue dem, after payin d money am sure dey recruite n train dia staff properly n carefully treat customers. Tnx MR ROY.
DeleteGet a life. Ur so dumb to even think she's d Joan. Mscheww
DeleteExcellent response anon 10.20pm, @ Joan, u made the worst move ever by coming on this blog to discuss confidential issues esp when the case may go to court. Be careful how u blab, CCRs r suppose to b professionals
Delete@ Anon 9:15:If truly you are Joan,it is highly unprofessional of her to comment unless, she has the express permission of her superiors. If she dosen't,then it is highly unprofessional of her. This also shows the kind of rude and half baked people working in our telecommunication/corporate organisations.

DeleteWell done jare keyamo.
Deletegud analysis
DeleteIts amazing hw shallow minded and daft people cn be!,d ntwrk providers in Nigeria aftr ripping us off of so much, stil infringe on our rights,d tariffs ar high, ntwrk is bad,to mention a few.most of yu here ar very aware of this facts aand hv felt lyk bn able to do sth abt it at sm point bt couldn't,and here is smone who hs d courage to face dis guys and stand up for "OUR RIGHT" nd yu come and rain al sortta abuses on him,it jus goes to explain why dis nation wit d present crop of people youths especially is far frm d promisedland.
DeleteWell written
DeleteAnd Joan... how did u get into Etisalat with your bad, woeful and terrible oral and written english?
Delete@Anonymous- Don't know if Joan took the right steps, but your numbers 1$2 points show how very LITTLE you know about sim swap processes. Please do your research. Thank me later!
DeleteDis is not Joan!d person was just joking. Read it well,she/he said 5min fame.
DeleteNa so short people matter dey b,
ReplyDeleteIt is becos you dont know your right as a customer tht is y they can use you anyhow and you accept it. Mumu calling an educated man short man

DeleteU RE A BORN GENIUS.. The best comment ever heard in ma entire life.,, Jess
DeleteBonario my man. Cocky when he's not sure
DeleteHahaha this is what i like! Welldone mr Agu! It's hightime somebody taught dis mofo's a lesson...MTN watch out cos i'm gonna sue ya soon....counting down#doctorbobby
ReplyDeleteSm bitch @ mtn blocked my line cos she said I was rude after they stole airtime on my phone,I tapped into my mtn contacts n unblocked my phone...oh,and I made sure she lost her job n got compensated-though by just 10k
DeleteServes this telecommunication operators right!
ReplyDeleteIt is really painful when you go through such issues...a lot of people may criticize Julius Agwu for his actions, but I want y'll to put yourselves in his shoes.
I suffered same with MTN, and it wasn't easy at all. I literally just had to back out after several attempts and am glad for Julius Agwu's actions, as this will serve as a lesson to all of them!
He must be out of is sense, 100million for wot. U dn't even put BROTHER 1million.
ReplyDeleteImagine ur poor thinking, pooverty don finish ur life so tey u dey call money brother. I pity u
DeletePersonally think 100m is childs play. Thses guys need to start getting these sort of suits perhaps them go behave. Anyways...we know they will settle Julie outa court.....
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteBullsh*t, these stuffs happens to all Nigerians and no one makes noise about it, how much is he worth that he will make 100million naira in 1 month? This is hypocrisy on the path of Julius Agwu, maybe he is broke and doesn't know other means of getting money.
ReplyDeleteU be mumu. Can't blame u though cos u are nobody. Do u knw what it means not to get intouch with ur clients or d other way round. U said many nigerians xperiense dat n no one make noise. So is it a crime that he is makin d noise. Dat is why most nigerians will suffer and die in silence. Always learn to stand for ur right
DeleteDon't u think its bcos nobody is making noise about it, dts why the Situation is deteriorating everyday. All Nigerians cannot be cowards for so long. Julius is fighting to get value for d service he is paying but not enjoying.
DeleteI suppor t u bro he is a thief is he d only one abeg he should go find another to make money for xmas he is just broke
DeleteU be mumu. Can't blame u though cos u are nobody. Do u knw what it means not to get intouch with ur clients or d other way round. U said many nigerians xperiense dat n no one make noise. So is it a crime that he is makin d noise. Dat is why most nigerians will suffer and die in silence. Always learn to stand for ur right
DeleteHappens to all nigerians so that makes it right ba? And he should sue for d amount he is worth?! Lmao I don't even know where to begin chastising u...hiss! U need help
DeleteSo because no1 else is "making noise about it" makes it right. That's the problem with Nigeria. *sigh
DeleteThe explanation is simple, if u think sueing a company because they blocked ur so called "Business line" for 100million naira is the best, then you are literally one of the problems we have in Nigeria, with people like you, Nigeria can't move forward. How can you sue a company 100million naira because ur line was blocked? If every1 does that, how many companies will be left in Nigeria? All telecommunication companies will Liquidate, PHCN will liquidate, private Water cooperation will liquidate and other amenities company. Ayo
DeleteI don't care hw d case goes but personality I tink this Ayo of a person is retarded, a semi imbecile & a waste of uncle Jonathan's fresh air. So because nobody makes 'noise' we should all suffer the consistent rubbish till death delivers us? Guy u no correct at all
DeleteAyo get small brain am vry sure u dnt kno wat it means to own a biz,let dem be sued next time dey get deir acts right,if d line ws nt registered y didn't dey register it fr him wen he 1st complained? and how come he is able to use a unregistered line prior to his travel?
DeleteAyo walai u should change ur name to moron cus dts wat u are. So u tnk by suing a company for whatever millions u feel I deserve, dts gng 2 make all companies liquidate?u av fish for brains.its all about accountability mofo!if 1 person sues n gets paid,d company would sit up n make sure dat customers are treated with more respect not d sham treatment we get wen a customer care agent hangs up on u when dey can't solve ur problem.its bcus of mediocre idiots lyk y dat naija is d way it still is cus u can't envision greatness or a society where companies are absolutely loyal to their customers!
DeleteNa wa o etisalat u loose saka u don loose julius again abi. oshi
ReplyDelete'Saka' is a business man and Etisalat will not stop him from making his dough. Go to NCC and ask them how many subscribers left MTN for Etisalat. Get facts and stop blabbing. Obele nwa di ka gi
DeleteWhat a case this one dey serious
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmn...I reserve my comment
ReplyDeletegood...its high time we stop taking nonsense from all this network providers.
ReplyDeleteStopped*

DeleteThis is just the definition of weakness, Julius Agwu and his lawyer is Weak
ReplyDeleteYour sentence construction is WEAK!
DeleteIt is high time we begin to demand respect from all dis telecom providers. Some of dem don't attend to complain in d right way.
ReplyDeleteHightime goes with past tense...use began* next time and it's complaints*....#cheers
Delete#doctorbobby
Lmao I love this
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. Welldone Julius, this will teach them a lesson. Oh! How I wish it was mtn.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what these telecommunication companies need. They need someone to drag their lame ass, sorry good for nothing networks and bad customer representatives to court. Its rather sad that this has happened but what's worse is that J.A. is not the only one that got this treatment and unfortunately the regular 9-5 worker cannot afford to drag such companies to court as they cannot afford the risk If their case is thrown out of court or the opposition wins. How many regular citizens can be invited in for a chat talk less of being compensated???
ReplyDeleteIf this was a human error of the wrong telephone number being swapped/disconnected, then I truly feel sorry for that member of staff.
How I wish this was an MTN case.....mschewww!!!
He got an invite because he's julius agwu. What about if it were my grandma from oshodi...kmt! Etisalat...pullover and park well joor.
ReplyDeleteOmo, I like dis! All these netwrk wahala don too much, they must pay...e just too pain me say no be mtn he dey sue
ReplyDeleteDat was too bad, bizness line 4 dat,buh julius, easy jare dat moni is to much ooo,we all nid moni #wink#just pity 4 them n reduce it,if its MTN,I would av advice u 2 do more than dat.
ReplyDeleteChai
ReplyDeleteLaff won kill me o! Anyway dis serves etisalat right! I learn my lesson too.
ReplyDeleteThe things that happen these days!!!
ReplyDeleteArrant rubbish!!! 100 million indeed.

ReplyDeleteMTN I'm comin 4 u ppl nxt#tongueout
ReplyDeleteOhh, why Etisalat I'd have preferred if it had been Mtn. damn
ReplyDeleteThere's obviously more to this.....but then #100mil seems to be too revealing the gag for #Dough......!
ReplyDeleteOle!
ReplyDeletewould have wanted it to be against Mtn but welcome litigation all the same. it'll make those snobbish customer service people have a personality reboot.
ReplyDeleteFestus keyamo busy legal practitioner.....thumbs up. U knw ur onion dats why ur always on litigation. .All these network provided are all perpetrators of these unethical attitude. Many voiceless Nigerian masses are victims of that and many other frivolous act from all of them.. I'm seconded Julius in this and the subsequent sue! NCC is toothless body!
ReplyDeleteGood for etisalat! Useless network!
ReplyDeleteThat is so not true. Etisalat is the best network in Nigeria if u ask me, and trust me when I say I have used them all
DeleteFestus Keyamu again lol! Anywhere there is troubling making, he is d jobman! Make them n etisalat finish up. Waiting for part 2...
ReplyDeleteTake several seats Julius
ReplyDeleteYou didn't know this was what was happening to ordinary people before. But now just because you re a celebrity you expect people to be behind you on this one
Seek a global solution not just a solution that suits you and your pocket!

ReplyDeleteBe like say this julius don dey broke? Is your line on contract or pay as you go? If na pay as you go, then commot for road make we see.
ReplyDeleteChoi. Better make person popular o. Maybe me sef go sue etisalat. No fit call out or receive call but fit load credit. N to make matter worse dey don comot d 200 naira wey I manage load. Me sef go sue dem
ReplyDeleteYour line was blocked so get over it
ReplyDeleteStop putting us in the middle of your fight .......what does Thai have to do with ordinary people. This is between you and your fellow lags at the top
Will restoring Julius Agwus line change industry policy or benefit other people affected by this same thing?,,,,,NO!
This is a matter for you and your lawyer to enrich yourselves with N100 million
And how did he involve u if I may ask?
DeleteEither julius agwu is broke and is looking 4 a way 2 tax etisalat or he's cracking a joke. Lmaaao. A whole 100million? Nitori kini?
ReplyDeleteno be small thing o #in 2face idibia's voice#
ReplyDeleteLol, he is truely a comedian, a very funny one I must say.
ReplyDeletedont mind him, he is just trying to be funny. its an advert for his christmas show
ReplyDeleteJulius Agwu...........pursue class action law suit and stop all this one man business
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only person affected by this line blockage matter.
The problem with Nigeria is one man for himself. You are well positioned and well placed to push for policy change and implementation so that all benefit and not just you and your lawyers pocket with your customized phone number.
Peace out!
money gud ooooo! i will try as much as i can to make money so i can sue my network providers whenever they fuck up. Julius you sef too like money. see ur mouth like N100m.
ReplyDeleteIt happens everyday and nobody talks cuz they won't listen to poor man
ReplyDeleteJulius more grease to your elbow!
It's becoming unbecoming!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't he just call Etisalat to resolve the issue, why make so much noise about this...Attention seeker...mstchewwwww
ReplyDeleteU no sabi read to understand ni?
DeleteNor be only 100 million naira
ReplyDeleteJulius, it will be prestigious for you to stop this scrap! a so called high networth comedian like you shouldn't have one simcard that the whole world call you to. I advice you to get alternative lines to make sense. It is when you guys are hungry that you do things like this. We know people like you.
ReplyDeletepity them . If na mtn abeg no pity them at all.
ReplyDeleteBiz strategy...all follow.
ReplyDeletePity them abeg. If na mtn, don't pity them atall.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute trash. Even if he must make a demand, must it b dat high. Probably he is broke.
ReplyDelete*singing*.....see gobe...hahahaha...etisalat probably thought he was putting up a comedy show before...lol
ReplyDeleteOga! I knw say xmas dey come! #villagetinzloading# so u need money! I bet u won't be d only one to have fallen victim! Abeg park well jare!

ReplyDeleteJulius agwu has gone mad.. Wat is wrong with festus keyamo, is it because he graduated from ambrose alli university ekpoma which is purportedly d best in law na make am dey do anyhw.. Show him wat I wrote, let him sue me, idiat..
ReplyDeleteThat is a lie.The best facaulty of law remains that of UNEC.Pls I don't stand to be corrected
DeleteNa Lasu, be the best for law. Although im a UNN graduate the truth is the truth. lasu from time immemorial
DeleteJulius agwu attention seeker, try somewhere else.!
ReplyDeleteHis claim falls under special damages which must be specifically proved.he. has got to lead evidence that what he had lost by reason of his blocked line would amount to that much. The court ain't santa claus.Featus i believe knows that.
ReplyDeleteFeatus ko, Foetus ni. Its FESTUS !
DeleteCongrats! U finally showed us you are acquainted with the name ‘Festus’ ,now take your pills and go to bed.
DeleteSame crap happened to me few weeks ago, wanted to press charges but d asks tinubu manager and customer service agent Chinenye were way too nice. I just couldn't. I a, glad Julius is taking it up tho. It was frustrating foe me

IF WE ALL DECIDE TO TAKE LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST DEM 4
* DISAPPEARANCE OF AIRTYM,
* HIGH TARRIF,
*CHOPPIN UR CREDIT EVEN WEN DA FONE WAS OFF,
*SENDING OF SERVICE MSGs AT ODD HOURS;
* CUTTING YOU OFF IMPORTANT BIZ CALLS
*xPIRATION OF BIS B4 D DUE TYM
AND VICE VERSA;
THEY WILL ALL FOLD UP OR SIT UP
@titilayo..hahahaha y are u typin rubbish..na wa o..all jst 2 comment...well I dnt bliv ds story..hahaha..comeon! JA is bigger dan ds...am sure he has mny oda biz lines...if dres any netwrk dt nids 2 be sued it will be MTN!!
ReplyDeleteOh heavens. What can people like us do, whose Gsm number had one time been permanently blocked. That serves them right. They must pay that compensation fee. Enough is enough for all this telecom houses. E do 4 der ill treatments!
ReplyDelete100 million. Dis man u get heart oh. U wan tell me say all d biz wen u lose for d period of time for give u reach 100million? Make una dey Fear God oh.
ReplyDeleteIt's now I realised why some of these 'celebs' call you Nigerians broke ass. If you guys realised what a unique telephone number (080-1111111) could do for you then you all wont call the Julius Agwu names. Its about time some of these corporate bodies are taught are a lesson.
ReplyDeleteWell said
DeleteYou are so cute Tunde..#hehehehehehe...
DeleteThe truth be told, these networks need to start respecting our legal rights. They do this things regularly, thank God someone has the balls to put them on their toes .
ReplyDeleteThat 'someone' is not gonna get 100million, I can assure you. He's not even gonna get up to half the amount *still assuring u*
DeleteComedy time...u na like comedy sha, expecially this abstract one frm JA
ReplyDeleteWe Nigerians really need to stop allowing sentiments over cloud our sense of fair judgement...Julius is right to sue Etisalat for unlawfully blocking his line and not doing anything about it when he apprehended them, it could be really frustrating @ times wat dis service providers can make u go through just to secure ur line...let him teach them a lesson so that others can learn. We r customers paying for the services they render and we need to be treated as such!
ReplyDelete100million ni? What for? He dose not even earn 20million a month! Greedy man!!! Since the line was blocked he should have asked for the 200naira he used in purchasing it! 100million ? Lolzzz dude wanna buy a house and of course money for xams!! Lolzz ... Sandi talk am
ReplyDeleteThe problem with "many" Nigerians is that they are very passive and think since no one talks about their issues means no one should talk about it. The lawsuit should have been 5billion naira and make it a class action suit and pay it back by crediting every Etisalat customer with 1000 credit. These nonsense by these companies should be curbed someway somehow.
ReplyDeleteGud one, serve dis stupid Etisalat pple right. Dey don carry dia nonsense go jam Rock? Dia own don be. Julius show dem shege. Olori buruku,Etisalat. Mtcheeeewwwww. Linda me and u don turn pali pali, i dey see my comments wey u dey post. U too much
ReplyDeleteKindly port to mtn. I pity ur line
DeleteI like him sueing the company bt d part of #100ml is outrageous..Nigerians can over do thns.SOME Lib Anonymous Commentors can be so unrealistic, immature & foolish.
ReplyDeleteThis guys shld go and drink 'garri-isobo' wid pami joor.
Etisalat is one of the worst providers and has horrible customer service.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... Etisalat una ko hear am
ReplyDeleteI called the 08189555555 number sha and it rang. I guess Etisalat may have quickly unblocked the line. 100million no bi small money to throway
This really serve them right. This same Etisalat just kept on dudcuting my airtime when my subscription is still on,now am finding it difficult to recharge my phone cos I cant off my data service wen my subscription is on and wen data service is on,my money keep wiping off. Really serve them right
ReplyDeleteSome Etisalat PR guys are falling over themselves to defend their coy and justify their pay on this thread. Shame on you all **pukes**
ReplyDeleteJulius, keep looking for easy money, inugo?
ReplyDeleteY did u not ur lawyer that u were compensated with airtime after the swap which wasn't Etisalat's fault?
U know deep down in ur soul that ulied about some things.
And about d rude customer service u got, Etisalat has a zero tolerance policy for rudeness to customers.
But some customers are not just it!!
Ur reply has got 2 bi 1 f d most foolish av read. Why r yu defending etisalat, when deep down in ur heart, yu kn right n wrng?
Deleteif i had the means i would sue MTN also for blocking and recycling my line that av used for over 10years without and prior notification. Its just criminal
ReplyDeleteEtisalat is even trying.. An Mtn customer care rep and I once insulted ourselves over the phone after I had called them for over a period of 2 weeks to resolve an issue with no result... I then went to their customer care center at college road and told them that I would use my etisalat line and stop using the mtn line till they resolved the issue.. The customer care rep actually told me to go ahead and use etisalat.
ReplyDeleteHustling is not easy, Julius looking for cheap dough!
ReplyDeleteSome of these LIB commentators are some of the reasons why naija may get worse in the future... u allow and support impunity.
ReplyDeletecorrect! yeye etisalat! GLO with pride
ReplyDeleteJulius, keep looking for easy money, inugo?
ReplyDeleteY did u not ur lawyer that u were compensated with airtime after the swap which wasn't Etisalat's fault?

Why is someone claiming to be Joan and yet anonymous?.....haba!
ReplyDeleteJulius agwu may God bless u for dis infact may u live longer than methuselah ijn amen, ehen *sighs* it is high time somebody says something cos dis telecommunication networks their own don dey too much and as for MTN let them wait cos their turn is coming nd i pray dat their own should be the worst foolish people
ReplyDeleteAbeg make I call the number talk with new julius jare..#winks#
ReplyDeleteWow, reading all of this comment makes me sick, in the UK someone can sue "ur dog bit my dog" or "ur loud music woke me up nd bla bla bla.....if u fall in a supermarket Bcos the floor was wet, u can sue them. E pain me say my country people no sabi law, some peeps calling J.A thief....i was expecting a bigger Bill, if it was a lawyer from harvad law smh....de owner of Etisalat wud look for this man Afta dey re done digging out previous law suit+evidence...am happy this is happening in my country.
ReplyDeleteJulius dats d spirit go 4 it man!.....bt 100m???! #whistls#
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I advise julius 2 turn it into a class action suit. About half f d network users in Nigeria wud be d Plaintiffs. Imagine blocking sm1's line widot a solid reason. Fools. Just cos ppl kip quiet dsn mean its right. Arrogant bastards. If yu call dem n complain sef, d way som f d ppl manning d customer care lines wil talk 2 yu rudely, yu wil bi shocked. I hope y'all pay. MTN is next
ReplyDeleteA hundred mill? Okay
ReplyDeleteA hundred mill?okay
ReplyDeleteOk
ReplyDelete@ Ayo Bullshit. That this happens to Nigerians all the time does not make it okay. Nigerians allow themselves to be trampled by these companies and at our expense. We pay them for services and we do not get service in return. To add pepper to fire, they even run you around. Let him sue. There are two things here - Etisalat would at least have to spend money to answer him. Now that is unplanned cost. The only reason that people are in check in the US is because of law suits. People behave appropriately cos you don't wanna have to pay an attorney by the hour to squash a claim on your org, no matter how small the claim. First, you want to protect your company from the "a flood gates effect". That is if there is one successful argument against you, you just became the sole source of income for some people. Second, any previous judgment against you is forever held against you in the public court of opinion. Often hard to shake when you are dealing with a jury or people not on your payroll. So let Julius sue. Adenuga is riding high on MTN. But nobody can make a reliable 5 min call from the US to a Nigerian MTN phone successfully without several drops due to poor audio quality and interference. This is sad considering that people actually paid for the service.
ReplyDeleteI think we should get the facts before making baseless accusations, and besides, of all the 4 Telcos we have in Nigeria, Etisalat happens to be the best..
ReplyDeleteMak I adjust my seat cos show don start
ReplyDeleteThis is a poorly written letter.
ReplyDeleteJ.A, abeg find another job,if comedy no longer favour you.stop looking for short cut to wealth.Do you worth a 100m,...ino mkpo
ReplyDeleteIn the network of the blind(MTN, ETISALAT, GLO, VISAFONE, AIRTEL) the one-eyed Network (Etisalat) is the king.
ReplyDeleteSince August 2013, an Etisalat customer care lady promised to return my internet subscription within 24hrs and up till dis night that I can't sleep because I just put off my Gen she has not.
I would rather use etisalat in Dubai than Nigeria. what makes their network there better than ours or is it not the same network?
Nigerians please if someone stands up for his right let's support him and hope the networks can listen and provide better services for our businesses to blossom....beesteeze.
this man makes me laugh... carrying a good family man image around yet when he came to manchester over summer, he was busy messing around... smh he should go and sit down
ReplyDeleteI guess it would be cheaper to eliminate this mother fucker
ReplyDeleteSeems people don't like mtn, well I don't use their network.
ReplyDeleteWhat nonsense ! Every adult in Nigeria knows that if your sim isnt registered, you are given some grace period to do so, and if that grace period elapses, your sim is blocked so you are forced to get it registered. Julius didnt register his line, and so, doesnt have a case. Lets always get our facts right before jumping to conclusions and crying foul! Etisalat is the best network in Nigeria. No bias!
ReplyDeleteLmao... this is serious, J.A ride on abeg
ReplyDeleteThis is the Kind of Suits Needed to Keep This foreign Investors constantly on their Toes.. That Thinking "In Nigeria Everything Goes" Must End. This people makes Billions with their very poor service.
ReplyDeleteLook @ what Shell did In Rivers State before MEND stood up and say its Enough.. The Polution was was enough to Give people cancer.. But No one dare to drag them to court because Nothing works in this country.
I support Julius in this Suit, And If anyone should think 100m is too much for such a lawsuit then you clearly haven't been in a courtroom in the US or UK..
See Gobe.
ReplyDeleteThey should pay him the damages bcos this nigerian networks re taking people for granted.
ReplyDeleteY'all saying 100mil is to much. Don't u know "julius agwu" is a brand and there are staff to pay and now lawyers to pay too? And besides, its like wen u go to market to buy stuff of 2500 but d seller tells u its 4000. If it were me,I will calculate how much I make yearly n sue dem accordingly, stupid mofos!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Julius! Its about time, finally a Nigerian who knows his rights. These service providers need to be taught a lesson. Im sure theyll settle out of court...
ReplyDeleteWISH IT WAS AGAINST MTN!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIT ABOUT TIME WE GOT REED OF THAT NETWORK
this is interesting.....can't wait to see what happen
ReplyDeleteEtisalat is known for poor customer care. And are known for making people loosing their lines for nothing. They treat people without respect. They are the worst telecommunication company I can patronize, they are doing that to everybody. If u hv an etisalat line dont rely on it or use it as business line, they will disappoint you anytime anyday!
ReplyDeleteAgwu is being stupid. He is a money hungry bastard. He's line was blocked 4 less than a week n he wants 100mil. Other bigger people didn't make fuss just re-registered their sim cos I did to and was told it was a nationwide thingy which originated from Ncc. He's he saying he makes that much in a week. Idiot man
ReplyDeleteFinally finally after reading all these Comments, I hav concluded that most Nigerians are animals, donkeys to b precise. Hw can a real human being prefer to suffer than to stand up 4 his rite? Slaves better pass una. Julius abeg make it 500 mil, they hav d cash
ReplyDeletena wa o
ReplyDeleteGhen Ghen Eti & Juli Block line PART 1
ReplyDeleteif such is the case, everyone in Nigeria would have sued these service providers in one way or another
ReplyDeleteDamn! my bro is hungry mehn.....his broke ni oh. brother, 100m ti poju nau...kilode?
ReplyDeleteabeg make him and festus take several seat
ReplyDeleteIf it's really Joan of Etisalat that commented above, then you are a learner... Otondo. You are not supposed to give any public comment as what you have written can be use against your company or even you in court!!! Don't you have sense or watch movies???
ReplyDeleteWe dont need to hear from you and even if you are appraoched - you are to decline!
MTN? Is that a network? Totally hopeless....
ReplyDeleteThis one i must talk!
ReplyDeleteFirstly the way companies have been dashing out money in Nigeria in the name of brand ambassdors is getting riducolusly toooo much. They dont even practice CSR(which NIG doesnt encourage)Hence Julius asking for 100m...lol
Secondly, is it not Nigeria??? where everybody has 2phones & U most times dont have credit/battery so U call on the other fone or we all know each other especially in the media/enterainment industry. So if Julius phone was blocked, is he saying nobody could reach him through other means apart from his said Etisalat sim?
Thirdly, what is the possiblity that he missed or has missed calls during the blocked period?
Fourthly, customer service is ZERO in Nigeria. PPle on that desk are never cool to people who are just making enquires. They only smile to those that give them gifts or are frequent faces.
Abeg both Etisalat & Juilus/Festus should go & siddon and cover their heads for stupidity on various factors. Etisalat and other coys in Nigeria should wake up from sleep and do the right things.
Julius do you know how people that have had the same issue but cant afford a lawyer? instead you want 100m.. bros cool down jare... 100m go finish in 1year(fuel, gas, diesel, school fees, booze, clothes, rent/maintainance etc).
My point is not making these companies get away all the time or fellow Nigerians coming up with schemes to sue but lets be real..... WE ARE SLEEPING & NOT GETTING PRIOTIES RIGHT.
Shikena
A nation can never grow beyond the mentality of its citizens. The mentality of some pple is just absurd.... so becos it happens to everybody does it make right? You are paying for a service yet they still make it look like they are doing you a favour byy rendering you a service u r paying for...if e con be free nko? And where is it written dat u can't sue more than the amount u r worth? Infact d money too small.... abroad pple pray to see a little strand of hair in their food sef, cos dem knw say demm done hammer be that... but for nigeria u go even see cockroach for ur food, dem go even abuse u on top, and still tell u to pay for the food. We need to wake up and know our rights... dats why an airline will keep passengers on ground for over 9hrs of delay with no explanation and apology.... mschewwww and that so-called JOAN tho... I go soon knw Weda na ur papa get etisalat... JA and etisalat will sort demselvess out of court and u will be out of job.... mega mumu
ReplyDeleteempty barrels make the loudest noise @julius agwu abeg go sit down somwhre
ReplyDeleteIf anybody criticises Julius for this action, then it is no wonder that we have remained confined in this 'victim-state' for so long. People are now so used to victimization and poor service, when they see other people demanding better, they immediately cry out: are you the only one. People have complained incessantly about poor services delivered by these networks over the years. But nobody ever had the guts to stand up to them. Now somebody has, you are saying it's because the man is a celebrity. I tire for Nigerians o. We only pay lip-service to change. Put your money where your mouth is. Julius - well done.
