Asari Dokubo released in Benin Rep., flown to Abuja in private jet

Asari Dokubo has been released two days after he was arrested in Benin Republic. The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force was reportedly released early this morning after President Jonathan intervened on his behalf with the President of Benin Republic, Yayi Boni.

Sahara Reporters reports that President Jonathan then deployed a private jet to ferry Mr. Dokubo to Abuja a few hours after his release

    Why in God's creation is the President intervening in cases as this?
    He keeps putting himself in positions where he's vulnerable to public criticisms.
    Dokubo is a militant and has made several treasonable slurs,it is inappropriate for Mr President to show public solidarity to such a fellow.
    This clearly shows that the President has plans to "use' Mr Dokubo for his re-election come 2015.

      Someone that is close to Mr. president or his wife should find a way to let him know he has really bad advisers.we have Nigerians languishing in jails all over the world and dome have been wrongfully incarcerated,the FG is yet to wield their diplomatic stick,why do it with a known enemy of state.

      I am not a GEJ fan but let us face the truth and say it like it is in this country! Enough of the hypocrisy! Who is the credible candidate for 2015 presidency? Pray tell, is it Tinibu,Buhari,Lamido,El rufai,and a host of other old guns recycling themselves year in year out. All these so called opposition has bad precedents cos they all have occupied public office and didn't set any good record to qualify them. In a sane country, oppositions use their track records and good works to drive home their point of making a change.
