Pics & Scoops from the Etisalat-sponsored Sisters with Soul Concert

Those who were at the Sisters with Soul concert with America’s queen of soul, Mary J Blige, swore that she did not disappoint. Seyi Shay, Eva Alordiah, Ms. Jaie, Niyola, Jodie, Munachi, Temi Dollface, Emma Nyra, DJ Cuppy also performed at the Expo Centre of Eko Hotel and they too made us proud.  Etisalat Nigeria and Kilimanjaro certainly got it right once again, following the Chris Brown Concert of December, last year. Etisalat’s Chief Commercial Officer, Matthew Willsher, said the telco would continuously delight customers and all Nigerians through music, fashion, sports, lifestyle and uniquely different value-added experiences. "Like we always say, Etisalat is much more than just a network!”

Mary J. Blige rocked an all-black mid-riff baring turtle neck top, leather shorts and knee-length gladiator heels. The multiple award winner and multi-platinum selling artiste took the audience back in time with her famous 90s hits.Her take on Lagos was up on twitter barely after catching her breath:

    Mary is in her 40's and I don't think that that cropped look and shorts showing her cellulite ridden thighs are cool. The outfit aint age appropriate. Havin a croPped top maybe with a sheer lace to cover up, nice pants or a something in a gown form wld have been cool.       That was what she wore for her performance, it was set in the earlty 1900s burlesque kinda thingy, hence the outfit. Blame the story for not having a proper review of the event...sheyi shay and niyola (who is in the US) didn't even perform

    It was a really nice event, Mercy Chinwo started the event, Nikki Laoye stunned with her amazing voice and choreographed dancers, Sheyi Shay and Niyola didn't perform, Zaina did quite well, she performed before Mary J blige took the stage and it was electric! The show wound down with Eva, Emma Nyra and Jodie closed the show with Kuchi kuchi and a few other amazing tracks, she was dubbed 'Omawumi-lite' by some fans on the nite....my little report of the sisters with soul concert. :)

      Yeah, for me Nikki Laoye's performance was one of the best of the night! When she did her 123 song with those dancers, it was electric. And Jodie's set was so matured! Wish she hadn't performed last sha. Her songs were amazing, then of course MARY JAY was on fire :) those were the 3 stand out performers, everyone else was rudimentary, dunno why sheyi shey didn't perform tho

    For once in Emma nyra's life she looks like a human being. It's as if her people finally got her a stylist and a make up artist. Still needs more work tho but this is better.
