Gunmen kidnap presidential aide Oronto Douglas's sister

Oronto Douglas is the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Research, Documentation and Strategy. His elder sister, Mrs. Augusta Douglas-Ayam, was kidnapped last night Monday Oct. 14th at her home in Ogbia Bayelsa state by unknown gunmen.

The Bayelsa State Police Command confirmed the kidnapping and said that no arrest had been made yet but that the Marine Police had been deployed to the creeks to assist in rescuing the woman who was taken away in a boat. The abductors are yet to contact the family. Sad!
