As
the Glo “Recharge to Stardom” promo gathers more momentum, a handbag
designer and 24 other lucky subscribers
who recently emerged winners in the promo have been presented with
their prizes at a special ceremony held at Globacom’s corporate
headquarters in Lagos on Monday.
The winners are Mrs.
Obafemi
Olayebi, a handbag designer who won N5 million, Kazeem Obigbesan, a
driver, Abolade Agboola, a stockbroker, Ayodeji Olatunjoye, an engineer
and Ibikunle Ademoyo,
a medical representative who went home with N1 million each at the

Other lucky Glo subscribers who collected cheques at the event
include
Lasaki Yeside, Opeodu Gbolahan, Edun Mojisola,
Megwa Mike and Okoronkwo Ikenna who collected N25,000 each. Fifteen
other lucky subscribers including Banjo Samson, David Folorunsho, Adamu
Katun, Dickson Ibe, Oluwadare Kayode, Asimolowo Fate, Koleade Olawale,
Adedeji Aliyu, Momoh Samuel, Sanni Elubambo,
Fagbemi Oluwole, Aigbokai Isekhua, Okoh Godwin, Ahone Allan and Adeniyi
Samuel also collected cheques for the sum N10,000 each at the occasion.
Olayebi,
who danced in delight at being picked as a N5 million winner in the
promo, told the audience that she
was trying to contact a doctor because of her daughter who was
indisposed in the UK when the call from Glo came through. “I did not
believe initially, but later I was dumbfounded. This N5 million is
definitely an unmerited, underserved and uncommon favour
from God. I want to thank Glo and its management for this wonderful
gift”, she said.
The other winners also expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Glo for using the occasion of its 10th
anniversary to reward the loyalty of its subscribers. Sharing
his experience with the audience, Agboola Abolade who is a stockbroker
said he was called about
5 to 6 times before deciding to respond. “But here I am today with my
N1 million prize. It is great to have an enterprise like Glo that is
working to change the lives of its subscribers. Everyone should
patronise this company that has made Nigerians proud”,
he said.
Another
winner, Ayodeji Olatunjoye, an engineer also expressed his gratitude to
the Board and management of
Glo for rewarding him with N1 million in the promo. ”I urge all
subscribers to keep recharging as they too can win. I was once a
non-believer but now I know that Glo promos are real. Thank you Glo“, he
stated.
