Gruesome scene: Video of Syrian chemical attack obtained by CNN

Men sprawled on the floor, shirtless and convulsing, children unable to control their shaking and flailing. Panic and screams in the background. These are some of the hard-to-stomach images that the Obama administration has shown a select group of US senators in closed-door briefings to make the case that a limited military attack on Syria is justified. Please watch the video. It's heart-wrenching! If you can't open it on my blog, then watch it HERE

  1. I really support the move by the US,only thing is innocent lives will be lost along the line. But if they don't do anything, Boko Haram would wake up one morning and release some chemical weapon as well. God save your own though.

  15. Linda! Some bit of intelligence please! This still doesn't prove for carried out the attack. Obama's efforts to rally support for a strike is faltering and world leaders have reasonably asked that the world await the outcome of the UN investigation.
Exploiting dead children to manipulate the public emotionally enables the US to circumvent not only its absolute lack of evidence, but hopefully the myriad of logical conclusions an otherwise rational, intelligent person might draw.

  19. This issue is not whether CW was used or not. Obama should prove beyond doubt that it is Assad that used it and not the Rebels.
And He should know that once he is in, he is in. There is nothing like "limited air strikes".
Attacking Assad on behalf of Al-qaeda rebels will only add fuel to the babquee.

  21. america should go and sit down joor!!they went in on sadm hussein, they didnt find any weapons of mass destruction.then they went in on gadafi staging all the issues in libya and circulating via media.now they plan the chemical attack on syria to find a reason to go in on the country.its all part of the new world order...Oluwa is involved.

  23. Very sad to see the children and people of Syria suffering from this kind of gruesome attack. However, we should not forget that the same US government that is planning a military intervention in Syria all in the name of "saving" Syrians is the same government that planned the use of the chemical weapons. It is the US government in collaboration with the Saudi and British governments that provided the rebels with the weapons used on the innocent people of Syria.

People like Linda will not use their God given voice to articulate some of the arguments made by people against the US intervention. Are you worried about your popularity and the use of your blog against the US? Then your conscience should judge you. If you like post this. What matters is that, you read it. I posted on this topic last time but you refused to post my comment because I attacked your rationale on this planned military attack on Syria.

  24. It is the same US government that accused Saddam Hussein of having a nuclear weapon that is now planning to attack Syria over the claim of using chemical weapon on its citizens. How long must we continue to be brainwashed by the US government? Is this not a clear sign that the US government has been planning to attack the Syrian government just because it is opposed to the West's way of governance? Is it not the same rebels that the US government have been sponsoring is reported to have used the so-called chemical weapons on these innocent Syrians? The Syrian regime is indeed a tyrannical one but is the US government that causes war in different parts of the world any better? They have been killing many children, women, men in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Vietnam and now, they are planning to enter Syria to cause more harms. They will have to fight Russia to attack Syria

  25. Very painful to see how these children and men are suffering the evil of two extreme groups. However, this does not warrant America's interference. More people will be killed if they get it. They should go to Congo, Rwanda and places like this if they are really concerned about global peace. The crisis in Congo has been there for years. When it was in Liberia and Sierra Leone, Why did they not intervene instead of allowing millions of people homeless and dead? Make America go one side jare. Business body

Abeg they should find a peaceful way to settle de dispute because if they send air strike to syria innocent people will still die. So what difference will it make? US would never interven in crisis they'll not benefit. They're not messiahs after-all!

  42. According to laws of broadcast there is a level of 'gruesome material' which you are allowed to air, that is because of the sensitivity of the material and how it would impact on the viewers. America has in recent years broken that rule twice, first in showing pictures of Sadaam's children and secondly pictures of Gadafi, (i think they even aired a video of osama's corpse). My point is the only reason America is showing the world this video is to draw sympathy to their desire to go to war in Syria. After scathing criticisms which trailed their decision to go to war, this video will now go a long way in ebbing some of these criticisms. All gimicks! CNN was biased in their decision to air that, now fathers, brothers, uncle, cousins, nephews and husbands on both sides would have to pay with blood for an issue that could have being settled with dialogues and sanctions.

  43. So bad. But that does not prove it wasn't done by the opposition so as to draw sympathy. Cutting off the nose to spite the face. The US govt has no case yet. They can only say they are tired of the overall senseless killings.

  59. Why is nobody asking who is arming the rebels? on the balance of power who needs to use chemical weapons more? why has the US not responded in like manner to the over 2000 killed in Egypt? is killing not killing?
This was the same lies that was fed the world by mainstream media power about Saddam Hussein weapons of mass destruction which in truth did not exist.People should not be fooled . Air strikes would only make matters worse and kill innocent people.War is not the solution and democracy is not necessarily the best form of government for all people. people develop at their own pace. We need a new world information order,It is all LIES
