  38. I'm sure they'll be replaced by 9 other equally useless "ministers" very soon...it's just a rotation thing. Bloody thieves the lot of them!

    Dee dee

    ReplyDelete
  39. Why were they sacked?,that's the question,is it for performing below expectation or for engaging in anti-party activities,,the motive should be made known to us because at the end of the day these whole thing will boil down to selfish purpose and not for the fact that they did not serve the public well!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ministers of Agriculture,Power and Education had it coming, didn't they?
Why's there a ministry of agriculture at the centre(federal level)when almost no agricultural activity takes place there,eh?
Every major agricultural activity is done at the state and local levels besides the disbursement of cash(something which very few farmers have actually benefited from except for the so-called subsidized fertilizers and farming machines which are only given to farmers with strong connections),yet some guy at the centre is getting a monthly pay huge enough to change the fortunes of farmers just because he's tagged minister.
Not only should the minister be sacked, that minstry should be scrapped so that the state and local government can be allowed to handle agriculture since they are closest to the farmers.
As for the power sector, its in total shambles.
Last time I was home, not only was there no power supply for a month straight,NEPA/PHCN(or whatever they are called these days)still brought a bill requesting payment for a 'lightless momth'. Yet,there's a minister there?does he have any ideas how many foreign investors have been chased out of the country because of poor power supply?
Then the Education minister, isn't it a shame that federal universities are still on strike?with students idling away?this must be a good news for those students.
BUT then again,2015 is just around the corner...all these sacking and what have you could be pure politicking as nearly anything in possible in the Nigerian political landscape.
We can only wait to find out!
