Photos: UNIBEN student shot in the head at school sports complex

A 200level Mathematics student of the University of Benin known as Snazzy was shot in the head by an unknown gun man around 2pm yesterday afternoon during the biometrics registration held in the university sports complex.

Eye witnesses say the gunman dropped the gun and disappeared into the crowd before he could be identified. Snazzy was immediately rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. Don't know for sure if he died or survived. Will update as soon as I have confirmation.

    I have gone to that uniben to sit for postjamb before.There is a campus called osefoge outside the university camp.you must be indoor before 9pm,else you will be robbed by student.Also gunshot is heard around 8pm in some student campus.Though,they look cool during the day,at night they are deadly.

    In sports complex ke? Not even Ekosodin or BDPA. It was certainly planned. Probably he stepped on toes in one way or the other and was invisible outside the school.     I was actually @ d scene of d unfortunate incident, felt so sorry 4 d guy. After d shot he struggled 4 his life up 2 d extent dat he tried 2 help himself 2 his feet but he fell 2 back 2 d floor again..still waiting 4 d confirmation of his situation and hope he survives...let me use dis opportunity 2 express my anger and disgust at those who see such situation 2 take photos 2 share different social network, very annoying 2 see dat someone is stuggling 4 his life & u are busy snaping pics instead of trying 2 help out..may God help u all.

    All dis useless uni should be closed down,hardly will u hear tins like dis in a serious minded sch like UI or OAU. U need 2 be a student of UI or OAU for u 2 understand what I mean,environment in uniben is conducive for cultism to thrive e.g UI spends millions of naira on awareness on cultism,infact I ve never heard a gunshot in my sch b4,all of dis coupled wif academic stress cos u can't engage in dis frivolity & still keep ur studentship.     Only in Nigeria would someone shoot another individual & drop the weapon ( the most important clue proof) and yet Nigerian Police cannot perform any sort of forensic analysis to catch the gunman!!!

    Anyway there is no proper database record of people in the Country so how would they even find a match??
